Today’s second assessment of the security situation is underway at the Kirya in Tel Aviv, together with Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman, IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eizenkot, the head of the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet), and senior IDF and defense establishment officials.

Israel has been massing troops on the Gaza border for the past week and large demonstrations planned for today and tomorrow are further inflaming the situation.  Meanwhile an international consortium is offering billions in aid for peace and the US is saying that they could work with Hamas for peace. This amounts a green light for Israel to take out the Hamas Military Wing so that peace can be made with the Hamas Political Wing which also wants peace.

NATO-  NATO to take over from the US in Iraq.

19 July:  Mideast War-  One man was killed and three were wounded in an IDF attack on a group of fighters launching an incendiary balloon.  Shortly afterward, two mortar shells were fired at IDF soldiers from southern Gaza near the border fence; no injuries were reported; 14 fires broke out in the border area today.  According to Israeli defense establishment officials, “the next 48 hours will be crucial to curbing the phenomenon after which we know where this is headed.”

Syria-  Israeli proxies in  Quneitra surrender to government forces, leaving Syria Hezbollah Iran on the buffer zone with Israel.

The IDF has been told to stand by for a large-scale military operation in the Gaza Strip.  The Home Front Command was briefed in the security cabinet yesterday and Netanyahu is touring the Gaza division  today.

Egypt warns Hamas to stop fire balloons by the weekend as Israel ramps up for war.

Defense minister Lieberman visited IDF forces in the south to observe the drills and war preparations on the Gaza border as 20 more fires started by Gaza incendiary balloons.

Putin and Trump agree to maintain the 1974 Golan demilitarized zone; this puts Russia in the position of accepting an Israeli attack if the zone is compromised by Syria or the tens of thousands of Iranian and Hezbollah troops in Syrian uniforms.  What Russia gets in return is secret but likely includes Trump concessions on Ukraine.

16 July:   Helsinki-  The Trump Putin press conference was a big disappointment merely revealing a few items which might be of interest to the American public while saying nothing about the content of the discussions and saying nothing about the truly substantive issues.

Mideast War-    More Israeli air defense systems deployed including at Tel Aviv.

In coordinated moves Egypt closes Rafah crossing to Gaza, starting this evening, and Israel announced the cessation of gas and fuel transfers to Gaza at the Kerem Shalom Crossing.

15 July:   Israel-   Government formally requests seven month extension to the Haredi draft bill.  The government appears to have decided to go to war first and postpone an election call until after the conflict, so they can campaign on a victory and delay the Trump peace plan as long as possible.

Hamas makes its position clear: demonstrations and fire kites will not stop and Hamas will retaliate for any further Israeli strikes.

Iron Dome batteries have been deployed in the Dan region of Greater Tel Aviv and additional batteries are being added to southern locations “in keeping with the latest situation assessment.” Military reservists are being mobilized.

The Security Cabinet has rejected the Hamas unilateral ceasefire and  instructed the Israel Defense Forces to respond to all incidents including arson kites and incendiary balloons.  Three balloon crews bombed today and so far six fires were caused during the course of the day by arson balloons from Gaza. This week  the 162nd Armored Division, will practice the conquest of Gaza City in the Gaza Strip.

14 July:   A Blessed Sabbath for All God’s Faithful!

Mideast War-   Update 17:45-  Hamas announces ceasefire;  Israel to agree only if its ultimatum is obeyed.  Israel is working on delaying its coalition crisis until after the fall Feast and once that issue is resolved they are prepared to act.

15:45 EDT-  An Israeli ultimatum has been issued to Hamas to halt  violence from the Gaza Strip – including protests and the launching of incendiary balloons and kites.

In response to dozens of IDF airstrikes over 200 rockets and mortar shells were fired at Israel in retaliation since 1:30 am local time, at least 27 intercepted.

The July News Blog continued below this special report

1 July:  Helsinki Summit-  It appears that a deal is being crafted proposing that Russia abandon Syria and Iran to defeat by the US and Israel, in exchange for recognition of Russian sovereignty over Crimea, the roll back of US sanctions on Russia and a US disengagement from Ukraine.

The Helsinki summit will be an effort to finalize an arrangement between the US and Russia concerning Ukraine and Syria/Iran.  Any such deal may not be publicized but will become evident by the course of events.  President Putin has already announced that “thirteen planes, fourteen helicopters, and 1,140 personnel have left Syria in recent days.”

Congress is unlikely to approve a Russian Crimea or remove sanctions on Russia, limiting Trump’s options to withdrawing aid and security guarantees from Ukraine.

Update- 3 July:   Mideast War-  With congress unwilling to abandon Crimea and sanctions on Russia, hopes for a deal on Iranian withdrawal from Syria in Helsinki seem remote. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov: “Iran is one of the key powers in the region and it would be absolutely unrealistic to expect it to abandon its interests,”

Europe-  An American push for a major pull back from Europe could come  after the Middle East war, when the need for US European based forces to support the Middle East war operations ends. After the coming Middle East War, Trump is poised to enable the rise of Europe by backing away from the EU and NATO

The Pentagon is already analyzing the cost and impact of a large-scale withdrawal or transfer of American troops stationed in Germany  and drastically reducing ties with NATO.  Although the military is characterizing this study as routine, Trump is very serious in his intentions.

Trump is expected to make heavy demands on Europe in order to keep US troops in Europe at the July NATO summit and to push hard after the approaching Middle East War.  Such moves by Donald Trump could end the Merkel Chancellorship in Germany and would lay the ground work for the rise of a New Federal Europe as prophesied.

Trump’s attacks on NATO members, his trade tariffs against EU nations, his rejection of the Iran nuclear deal and the Paris climate agreement and his political attacks on leaders such as German Chancellor Angela Merkel have already begun the process of bringing in the Establishment’s New World Order.

While Trump claims to be anti establishment, he is a front man for the Financial Military Industrial Establishment, working to establish their long planned New World Order; which will backfire on them almost immediately.

In addition, if they do not get their act together Britain seems headed for a hard Brexit without a deal in March.  A hard British divorce from Europe could result in a US British alliance replacing NATO in Anglo Saxon thinking.

July Daily News Blog

13 July:   UK/USA-   The prophesied New World Order of  the rise of a New Federal Europe between east and west is taking shape. As well, with Brexit coming in March and a US departure from NATO in the offing after the looming Mideast war, Donald Trump and PM May are examining a close US British alliance and trade pact outside of the EU and NATO.  Britain is desperate for the pact to bail them out of a hard Brexit.

Mideast War-  After clashes on the Gaza border the IDF attacked sites east of al-Bureij in Gaza, as well as in the north and south of the Gaza Strip.  Gaza militias are now responding with mortar fire on Israel.

Israel informs Hamas that a major military attack is coming over incendiary kites and balloons.  The continued attacks by Hamas are intended to provoke an Israeli invasion and tie down as many Israeli troops as possible before and during the coming war with Iran, Syria, Hezbollah.

12 July:   Israel-  The Government is requesting the High Court to grant an extension on the Orthodox draft bill deadline.

Education Minister Naftali Bennett stated that “If we don’t get an extension, we’ll call elections immediately [with a vote in October/November]. If the High Court approves the extension request, the Haredim would have until September to decide whether they can live with the proposed bill,” Bennett explained.  “If they say they can’t, we’ll agree to pass a bill to dissolve the Knesset at the beginning of the Knesset’s winter session and go to early elections in January.”

Syria-  Western “rebel” proxies surrender in Deraa

Europe-  Trump’s bullying is having the desired affect as latest polls indicate:voters would welcome a US troop withdrawal from Germany, with only about a third of Germans wanting US soldiers to stay. Trump has been laying the political groundwork for leaving NATO and withdrawing the 35,000 US troops in Germany.

11 July:   Israel-   Syria reports that “The aircraft of the Israeli enemy launches a number of missiles at several army positions” in the southwestern province of Quneitra, causing material damage

The Israeli navy stopped and seized a Gaza boat carrying wounded to hospital in Cyprus.  Interfering in the evacuation of wounded is a serious war crime.

USA-  After launching a vicious tirade against Germany Trump sent the NATO summit into shock demanding that members double their military spending.  Trump continues to lie about US and NATO defense spending claiming that the US provides 90% of the NATO budget when in reality, the U.S. share of the commonly funded NATO budget is currently just over 22 percent. Trump a front man for the military, industrial, financial establishment is intent on setting up a US departure from NATO after the coming Middle East war.

The Trump administration lays out a list of another 200 billion worth of Chinese goods to be taxed beginning in September.  President Trump is now in Brussels at the NATO summit where he is attacking the other members and making threats to leave. Netanyahu is in Moscow today trying to lay the groundwork for a Trump Putin deal on Syria at the July 16 Helsinki summit

The hope is for Russia to drive Iran out of Syria in exchange for US concessions on Ukraine, but the reality is that Iran is intent on remaining in Syria and Russia will not attack its Iranian ally.  The only real option is for Russia to substantially leave Syria and let Israel and the US deal with Iran / Syria in exchange for US promises on Ukraine.

10 July:  Mideast War-  Hezbollah, Syria, Iran move towards war with Israel

Israel-  On Tuesday, citing their demands for dramatic changes to the new bill currently in committee, UTJ said the parliament needed an extension of the court’s deadline to complete the changes the party is demanding, giving the High Court one week to grant extension of Haredi draft law.  In fact the other parties are refusing to grant the demanded changes.

9 July:   UK Brexit-  Theresa May’s government is in turmoil after chief Brexit negotiator David Davis resigned in protest against her strategy for quitting the European Union. The Prime Minister has also just accepted the resignation of Boris Johnson as foreign secretary and will announce his replacement shortly. Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt replaces Boris Johnson as foreign secretary. Brexit Secretary David Davis also quit the government over May’s strategy in negotiations to quit the EU and is being replaced by Dominic Raab a prominent anti-Brexit campaigner.

Israel-   Tightening the squeeze on Gaza Prime Netanyahu has ordered the immediate closure of the Kerem Shalom Gaza crossing for the transfer of goods, except for compassionate needs.

Netanyahu asks High Court to postpone Haredi conscription deadline and informs coalition party heads that he intends to call elections after the summer recess ends in late October.  Open hostilities in the developing Mideast war and/or  the actual election date could depend on the length of any High Court extension.

Yet another coalition crisis over the Jewish State bill

Dozens of minor earthquakes have hit northern Israel in recent days which could be the harbingers of a much larger event.  A 3.2 quake the 40th in the last few days hits northern Israel Monday night.

Mideast War-  The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights [operated by British Military Intelligence MI6] and rebel spokesman Ibrahmi Jabawi says that government forces have surrounded rebel-held parts of the city of Daraa.

Gen Hossein Salami deputy commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) openly states that an Iranian commanded International Islamic Army is on the borders of Israel awaiting orders to destroy the Jewish State.  The implication being that such an order could come after the Trump oil embargo takes hold in November.

8 July:   Mideast War-   Heavy Israel air attack Sunday night on Iranian assets at T4 air base in Syria.  Air defenses drove off multiple planes and shot down missiles while at least five rockets hit inside the base.

With the defeat of the western backed militias in the Deraa region, tens of thousands of refugees are already returning home.

At the July 11 summit Putin / Netanyahu to discuss the Syrian Golan and Quneitra.

The Russian Black Sea Fleet has closed the area between the Syrian coast and Cyprus to air and shipping traffic on July 11 and 12 and again on July 18,19, for drills of Kalibr-NK cruise missiles

Russia is again closing the area on July 25 and 26. Cooperatively the US has already withdrawn all of its naval forces from the Syrian coast.  These moves including the summits are designed to allow Russia to test its weapons, declare victory and withdraw the bulk of its forces from Syria, if a prearranged deal is signed at the Helsinki summit.

Clearly Iran will not accede to Israeli wishes and leave Syria, and once many Russians have left conflict is all but certain.

Israel-  Under an arrangement between the Haredi and the coalition, the Orthodox conscription bill is to be passed into law by the Knesset next week and the government is to follow up by legislating an early election for spring 2019. War on Gaza could begin at any time but is increasingly likely after the current coalition crisis is resolved and before elections.

Likud primaries to be held in early 20019 and Bibi will probably want to fight the primaries with a victory under his belt.  The extremely popular retired Israeli Chief of Staff Gantz can enter politics in the opposition in October as its man of the hour.

Netanyahu is already dreaming up his next government (Yossi Verter, Haaretz+) Netanyahu is visiting key persons to discuss elections. Bibi would like to see Trump’s peace plan submitted after the election in Israel to avoid mixing diplomatic issues into a campaign that will focus on three themes: security, security and security.

7 July:   A Blessed Sabbath for All God’s faithful!

6 July:   Iran-  Britain, France, Germany, Russia and China reject US pressure and back Iran.

Syria-   Rebels in the southwest give up their fight and accept the government, dissenters to be evacuated to Idlib.  Once the process is completed Syria will be able to focus on the militias on the Syrian Golan.

Chemical Agency finds NO evidence of chemical weapons use in Douma.  There was no evidence of nerve agents and only limited trace precursors of chlorine which likely came from simple chlorinated drinking water and could have come from domestic bleach spilled by explosions during the battle.  To impatient to wait for any evidence Trump attacked Syria on a false pretext. The medical experts at the time said that the victims died from smoke inhalation and lack of oxygen due to a fire.

Mideast war-  For the first time Israel bombed a Syrian site after a mortar was fired at insurgents inside the Syrian Golan portion of the demilitarized zone between Israel and Syria.  While Israel says that it will enforce the DMZ from Syrian encroachment; Israel has been violating the DMZ for years via setting up proxy militias in the Zone.

Syria’s Naseeb border crossing with Jordan was liberated Friday afternoon as rebels ready to agree to an end of hostilities.  The “rebels” will surrender their heavy weapons and allow Syrian administrators to take over under Russian supervision.

Western claims of Deraa refugees vastly over stated.

Trump Trade War:  25% tariffs on 34 billion of Chinese goods go into effect today, China to respond in kind.  Another round of Trump sanctions on China almost ready for unveiling.  Trumps trade war is uniting China, the EU and much of the world against the US.  Besides China, the 16 other countries participating in an economic summit to deal with US economic attacks are EU members Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia, as well as non-EU states Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia.

Israel-  Several small earthquakes portend major earthquake in Israel.

5 July:   Syria-  Today western proxy rebels requested negotiations to end the battle in southwest Syria.  More than 30 rebel-held towns have negotiated individual surrender deals, and talks between rebel factions and Russian mediators about a wider ceasefire are to be resumed.

4 July:   Israel-  Committee debate on the Haredi conscription bill was completed today, on Monday the committee will begin putting the final version of the bill in writing for second and third readings in the Knesset.

Mideast War-   The USA, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Israel have embarked on a plan for regime change in Iran.

The joint executive directors are Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir and Israel Mossad chief Yossie Cohen. On July 3, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Gady Eisenkott, appointed Maj. Gen. Nitzan Alon to head a new Iran Desk charged with overseeing the Israeli involvement. Among other points key aspects of the plan include:

  • An uprising against the Shiite regime by the 1.75 million Ahwazi Arabs of Iran’s oil-rich Khuzestan Province.
  • An uprising in the Kurdish provinces with promises of uniting them in a Kurdish state with Kurds in Iraq/Syria. More than 15 million Kurds (out of Iran’s total population of 80 million) dwell in Western Azerbaijan, Kurdistan, Kermanshah, Ilam and Hamadan provinces, as well as a substantial number in North Khorasan.
  • Yesterday, Gen. Qassem Soleimani, commander of Iran’s Middle East war fronts, informed President Hassan Rouhani that he stood ready to implement Rouhani’s threat to disrupt Gulf oil exports as needed. Iran has multiple assets to interrupt shipping including C-802 and C-201 anti-ship missiles fired from batteries mounted on mobile trucks.

Israel has begun a build up in the Gaza region, including Iron Dome rocket defense batteries.  Logically once the Haredi draft law has been resolved in about two weeks time, Israel would want to deal with Gaza first [which is also Iran’s agenda] before war breaks out with Syria-Hezbollah-Iran in the North.

US vows to keep oil flowing from Middle East while embargoing Iranian oil shipments.

Israel to use Golan buffer zone to extend a protective envelop around its rebel proxies in Syria, promising to attack any Syrian troops encroaching the zone

Half of Hezbollah’s 8,000 troops in Syria return to Lebanon to fortify border with Israel.

3 July:   Mideast War-  With congress unwilling to abandon Crimea and sanctions on Russia, hopes for a deal on Iranian withdrawal from Syria in Helsinki seem remote. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov: “Iran is one of the key powers in the region and it would be absolutely unrealistic to expect it to abandon its interests,”

Iran-  Top diplomats from Britain, China, France, Germany, and Russia will join Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in Vienna on Friday to discuss a European proposal on continuing the nuclear agreement.

Israel and the US have established a joint task force geared toward exploiting and amplifying internal pressure on the Iranian regime, all the while claiming that they are not seeking to destabilize Iran.  The double talk is getting surreal.

Israel-  Netanyahu will meet next Wednesday with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.

Netanyahu threatens Gaza with unbearable price if incendiary attacks continue.  War could break out at any time once the internal coalition crisis is resolved later this month.

IDF opens new Iran Desk, Gen. Nitzan Alon, who recently left his role as head of operations at the IDF, has been appointed head of the military’s first Iran Desk to oversee all Israeli  issues related to a war on Iran and coordinate with the United States. Alon accompanied Chief of Staff Eisenkot on his recent weekend trip to the United States and participated in meetings with American military leaders, including with the Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Joseph Dunford.

2 July:   Thailand-  Great news lost soccer players, 12 boys aged 11 to 16, and their 25-year-old coach have been found alive after ten days lost when flash flood trapped them in the Tham Luang Nang Non cave on June 23.

Israel-  Update- In first reading 63 MKs vote in favor of new IDF draft legislation, while 39 vote against.

Reports indicate that the coalition has agreed to spring elections preferring to deal with the security situation first and then to campaign on the foundation of a major victory.  A regional war could come quickly followed by an election and then the Trump peace deal.

The new Haredi draft law is expected to pass first reading today and then be somewhat modified before the final readings in the next two – three weeks; followed by an election announcement.

Iran-   American Israeli attempts to overthrow Iran revealed.

Syria-  Refugees begin to trickle back to areas liberated from the foreign backed rebels.

1 July:  Middle East War-  Israel reinforces northern border with Syria with artillery and tanks.  Russian talks with the Free Syrian Army rebels in Deraa are continuing although large numbers have been surrendering in the field and various towns have been liberated. It may still take another few weeks before Syria can move against the Israeli proxies in the Quneitra area.

Israel-  The Orthodox draft law will go to the Knesset for first reading on Monday. It seems that the bill will pass over Haredi objections and will then be modified in further negotiations.

Preparations for Middle East War are to be discussed at a special meeting of Israel’s security cabinet this evening. The ministers will be briefed by Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Gady Eisenkot on his urgent trip to Washington on Thursday. He will report on his talks with Gen. Joseph Danford, Chairman of the US Chiefs of Staff, and senior members of the White House national security council who are in charge of policy for Syria.

Some 160,000 Syrian refugees have already arrived at Israel’s Golan border and if the Helsinki summit is successful, Israel [with American support] will be in a position to attack the Hamas, Hezbollah, Syrian, Iranian Axis.

Iran-   As Iranian commanded forces approach the Israeli border a shooting incident is helping the foreign NGO inspired demonstrations gain traction in Iran.  Trump officials openly interfering in Iran.
