Many teach that the seven day Feast of Tabernacles represents the one thousand year millennium, yet the scriptures teach something very different.
2 Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
This COG teaching about the Feast of Tabernacles is wrong according to the scriptures, and contradicts their other teachings: For they teach that the one day Sabbath is symbolic of the millennium and then say that the seven day Feast of Tabernacles represents the millennium: Which is true? Is the millennium represented by one day, consistent with the scriptures; or by seven days contrary to scripture? And what of the early harvest which must be reaped in the spring and not in the fall, in order to be an early harvest?
The scriptural truth is that the millennium of one thousand years is represented by ONE day, and has nothing to do with the seven day Feast of Tabernacles.
After completing the physical creation God rested with the man and his wife on the seventh day. As has always been taught this seventh day rest is typical of a millennial Sabbath of rest after six thousand years.
Exactly the same thing is true of the seventh day of Unleavened Bread, for after six thousand years of calling out a first fruits to Christ by the Father, a resurrection of the chosen is to take place, followed by a millennial Sabbath of rest.
After the resurrection of the overcomers and the marriage of the Lamb in heaven, they shall return to the earth to remove Satan, and rule the nations for the millennial one thousand year Sabbath of rest.
Rev 20:1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, 3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. The seventh day Holy Sabbath and the seventh day High Holy Day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, each picture the same thing; a millennial Sabbath of rest! The seven day Feast of Tabernacles does not and cannot picture the ONE day millennium! Once the chosen are resurrected to spirit on the sixth day of ULB, they attend the wedding feast of the Lamb in heaven while the seven last plagues are poured out on the wicked earth. They then return to the earth Rev 19 and destroy the wicked leaders and restrain Satan and his hordes for one thousand years. After the victory they wait until Pentecost when the Kingdom of God will be established with:
Joel 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: 29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.
Then: Isaiah 11:9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.
At that time there shall be a millennial Sabbath of peace fulfilling the seventh day weekly Sabbath and fulfilling the seventh day annual Sabbath of the Feast of Unleavened Bread.
Isaiah 11:1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots [grow up from God who is the root, foundation, strength, source of Jesse]
2 And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;
3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:
4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth: with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.
5 And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.
6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
7 And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
8 And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice’ den.
9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.
10 And in that day there shall be a root of [The word “root” meaning the beginning of, or strength of, source of; the Creator of] Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his [millennial Sabbath] rest shall be glorious.
After the end of the millennium Satan is loosed for a short time; and after that comes the resurrection to flesh of the multitudes for their chance in the Feast of Tabernacles seven day [seven thousand years] main fall harvest judgment.
This is the first of two articles for this last High Day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread. The second post will be posted in the morning PDT.
