Introduction: The Book of Micah is the sixth of the twelve minor prophets. It records the sayings of Micah, Mikayahu, meaning “Who is like Yahweh?”, an 8th century B.C. prophet from the village of Moresheth [near Bethlehem] in Judah The book has three major divisions, chapters 1-2, 3-5 and 6-7, each introduced by the word “Hear,” with a pattern of alternating announcements of warning and correction, and expressions of hope within each division.

Micah 1

Micah 1:1 The word of the LORD that came to Micah the Morasthite in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, which he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem.
Judgment against Samaria [Israel] and Judea [Judah]

1:2 Hear, all ye people; hearken, O earth, and all that therein is: and let the Lord GOD be witness against you, the LORD from his holy temple.

1:3 For, behold, the LORD cometh forth out of his place, and will come down, and tread upon the high places of the earth.

1:4 And the mountains shall be molten under him, and the valleys shall be cleft, as wax before the fire, and as the waters that are poured down a steep place.

1:5 For the transgression of Jacob [Israel and Judah; BOTH physical AND spiritual ] is all this, and for the sins of the house of Israel. What is the transgression of Jacob? is it not Samaria [the calves of Samaria, idols]? and what are the high places of Judah? are they not [Judah trusted in Jerusalem and in the temple; that God would not correct them because they called themselves God’s people as they sinned]  Jerusalem?

1:6 Therefore I will make Samaria as an heap of the field, and as plantings of a vineyard: and I will pour down the stones thereof into the valley, and I will discover the foundations thereof.

Remember that this is written for us and is therefore duel we must take it to heart and acknowledge our own wrong doings. This is double duel and by that I mean that it refers to all physical Israel in those days and in the latter days; it is also duel in that it refers to BOTH physical and spiritual Israel.

1:7 And all the graven images thereof shall be beaten to pieces, and all the hires thereof shall be burned with the fire, and all the idols thereof will I lay desolate: for she gathered it of the hire of an harlot, and they shall return to the hire of an harlot.

God will destroy ALL of the idols of all Israel and Judah first and then he will go on to destroy all of the idols in this world; BOTH physical objects like our wealth, buildings and possessions, and also spiritual things; like false teachings and organizations, and idols of men that do not obey ALL of God’s commandments with enthusiastic zeal.  An idol is  anything that come between the people and God.

1:8 Therefore I will wail and howl, I will go stripped and naked: I will make a wailing like the dragons [he will wail in mourning sounding like a wolf or coyote] , and mourning as the owls.

God’s true prophets and followers will mourn over the coming correction upon his people and upon the nations.

1:9 For her wound is incurable; for it [correction] is come unto Judah; he [it]  is come unto the gate of my people, even to Jerusalem.

The correction will come to Jerusalem and the correction will also begin at the temple of God’s called out. let the reader understand.

Revelation 11:1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.

God will measure out the true worshipers of God, the true temple of the Spirit; for they are beloved of God; but the outer court measure not for they are those who will be corrected.

Brethren, this is speaking about measuring out the true temple of God’s spirit God’s pillars, so that they will not be taken into captivity. They are to be separated from the lukewarm Laodicean types who are the Outer Court, still a part of the Temple but lukewarm for God and his commandments.

11:2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

Today God is marking out and separating the faithful from the faithless, the zealous to live by every Word of God from those who follow the false ways of their idols of men.

Ezekiel 9:4 And the Lord said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads [Placing God’s spirit in the minds] of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.

9:5 And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity:

9:6 Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary [God’s sanctuary is the place where God dwells; His called out people]. Then they began at the ancient men [so called wise men of the Ekklesia] which were before the house.

9:7 And he said unto them, Defile the house, and fill the courts with the slain: go ye forth. And they went forth, and slew in the city.

9:8 And it came to pass, while they were slaying them, and I was left, that I fell upon my face, and cried, and said, Ah Lord God! wilt thou destroy all the residue of Israel in thy pouring out of thy fury upon Jerusalem?

9:9 Then said he unto me, The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceeding great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of perverseness: for they say, The Lord hath forsaken the earth, and the Lord seeth not.

9:10 And as for me also, mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity, but I will recompense their way upon their head.

Brethren, this is coming on our lands for the overspreading of our abominations, and it is coming on the Church of God Groups for their idolatry, and lack of zeal for God and his commandments as they exalt their idols of men and false traditions above the Word of God.

The true faithful are being measured out, so that the pillars might be spared; while the Laodiceans receive their correction.

Micah 1:10 Declare ye it not at Gath, weep ye not at all: in the house of Aphrah roll thyself in the dust.

1:11 Pass ye away, thou inhabitant of Saphir, having thy shame naked: the inhabitant of Zaanan came not forth in the mourning of Bethezel; he shall receive of you his standing.

1:12 For the inhabitant of Maroth waited carefully [anxiously]  for good [deliverance]: but evil came down from the LORD unto the gate of Jerusalem.

Correction shall begin at Jerusalem and at the House of God; his spiritually called out who are his Temple today.

1:13 O thou inhabitant of Lachish, bind the chariot to the swift beast: she is the beginning of the sin to the daughter of Zion: for the transgressions of Israel were found in thee.

Speaking of Jeroboam and his teaching of idolatries to Israel, just as modern preachers teach the people to idolize themselves and their false organizational traditions.

1:14 Therefore shalt thou give presents to Moreshethgath: the houses of Achzib shall be a lie to the kings of Israel.

A short promise of Messiah to provide hope for the saints and for the people of Israel.

1:15 Yet will I bring an heir unto thee, O inhabitant of Mareshah [a city near Lachish south of Bethlehem]: he shall come unto Adullam the glory of Israel.

1:16 Make thee bald [shave the head in mourning], and poll [cut our hair in mourning for our children] thee for thy delicate children; enlarge thy baldness [make ourselves bald like the bald eagle in our mourning to repentance] as the eagle; for they are gone into captivity from thee.

Micah 2

Micah 2:1 Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds [lay awake at night imagining doing evil things]! when the morning is light, they practise it [and in the morning do the evil they have planned in the night], because it is in the power of their hand.

Woe unto the wicked who lay awake at night thinking on how to gain personal advantage.

2:2 And they covet fields, and take them by violence; and houses, and take them away: so they oppress a man and his house, even a man and his heritage.

2:3 Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, against this family do I devise an evil [bring upon us the evil of affliction], from which ye shall not remove your necks; neither shall ye go haughtily [be full of arrogant pride]: for this time [of rebuke is come] is evil.

2:4 In that day shall one take up a parable against you, and lament with a doleful lamentation, and say, We be utterly spoiled: he hath changed the portion of my people [from blessings to cursing’s]: how hath he removed it from me! turning away he hath divided our fields.

2:5 Therefore thou shalt have none that shall cast a cord [None will have the respect of God to cast lots before God for he will not hear us and give us his answers, because we have no zeal to hear HIM.] by lot in the congregation of the LORD.

Today the Ekklesia does not want to hear the truth.  Oh we listen to prophecies of trial and tribulation but have absolutely the wrong take on these things believing that they will come upon others and not on ourselves.  We judge ourselves righteous while we are full of pride, idolatry of men and sin; being totally blind to our spiritual condition because we WILL NOT SEE. Rev 3:16.

Today the vast majority of the Ekklesia declare: “speak nothing bad about us, for we are righteous in  our own eyes.”  When told the truth we immediately shut out what God thinks of us; preferring to live in a world of self delusion, following our idols of men in our social club assemblies, rather than sincerely repenting of our sins to turn and  live by every Word of God.

2:6 Prophesy ye not, say they to them that prophesy: they shall not prophesy to them, that they shall not take shame.

The false prophet’s who say that the time is delayed, will be destroyed along with the people and the nations that they have deceived.

God’s warnings are for our good that we should depart from our evil ways and find peace and refuge in him.

2:7 O thou that art named the house of Jacob [Israel, and the spiritual church of God], is the spirit of the LORD straitened? are these his doings? do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly?

2:8 Even of late my people is risen up as an enemy: ye pull off the robe with the garment from them that pass by securely as men averse from war.

2:9 The women of my people have ye cast out from their pleasant houses; from their children have ye taken away my glory for ever.

You have taken the strength of God’s people by your excessive financial demands and by teaching them to depart from the commandments of God.

The many elders and leaders who pollute God’s temple [turning God’s people (temple, sanctuary) away from him and teaching the brethren to idolize men and false traditions] with your idolatries and cast out the righteous: will be  rejected from the presence of God.

Revelation  3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.

3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

Micah 2:10 Arise ye, and depart; for this is not your rest: because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction.

The people desire to hear the smooth things of the false prophets; who teach that we are righteous and no harm shall befall us.  We seek prophets who lie to us and intoxicate us with pride by their false words

2:11 If a man walking in the spirit and falsehood do lie, saying, I will prophesy unto thee of wine and of strong drink; he shall even be the prophet of this people.

The people seek leaders who tell them smooth things and prophecy of near term good. Who intoxicate the brethren with their words of love as they pervert the Word of God.

Yet after their correction Messiah will surely gather the remnant that is left and lead them to good.

2:12 I will surely assemble, O Jacob, all of thee; I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together as the sheep of Bozrah, as the flock in the midst of their fold: they shall make great noise by reason of the multitude of men.

2:13 The breaker is come up before them: they have broken up, and have passed through the gate, and are gone out by it: and their king shall pass before them, and the LORD on the head of them.

Micah 3

Micah cries out against the leaders and elders of the people of God

Micah 3:1 And I said, Hear, I pray you, O heads [leaders] of Jacob [physical and spiritual Israel], and ye princes of the house of Israel; Is it [should you not know] not for you to know judgment?

Most of today’s leaders and elders of the called out despise the good things of God and reject them for their own ways, making merchandise of the brethren and taking more than is right.

3:2 Who hate the good, and love the evil; who pluck off their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones;

3:3 Who also eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from off them; and they break their bones, and chop them in pieces, as for the pot, and as flesh within the caldron.

The national leaders who break the people with taxes, and the elders who demand far more than they should in offerings and who cause the people to follow themselves as idols, shall be punished.  Because of their sins, when they cry out to God in their correction he will not listen to them.

3:4 Then shall they cry unto the LORD, but he will not hear them: he will even hide his face from them at that time, as they have behaved themselves ill in their doings.

Those who tell the brethren that no correction will come for years and speak lies in the name of the Lord; calling themselves leaders and elders of God, when the Eternal has not sent them, are opposing God and the truth and they shall surely fall.   These people are not with God and God does not inspire those who lead the people astray to follow idols of men.

Brethren, Paul tells us that when peace is declared the trial will begin (1 Thes 5:3), and when the miracle working man of sin goes to the temple mount Jesus Christ tells us that the tribulation will immediately begin.  Yet these false teachers claim that from the time peace is made they will have 3 1/2 years to do an Elijah work.  Who is right Jesus Christ or these false teachers?

3:5 Thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that make my people err, that bite with their teeth, and cry, Peace; and he that putteth not into their mouths, they even prepare war against him [they resist God and fight against God].

3:6 Therefore night shall be unto you, that ye shall not have a vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not divine; and the sun shall go down over the prophets, and the day shall be dark over them.

When the tribulation and affliction comes these false teachers will be ashamed for real events how proved them to be false, and all shall KNOW that they are false teachers.

3:7 Then shall the seers be ashamed, and the diviners confounded: yea, they shall all cover their lips; for there is no answer of God.

The false religious teachers who say that there must be 3 1/2 years after a peace agreement; before the tribulation begins, will be made desolate by the Eternal for their false words which have led many astray; and they shall be ashamed when their words fail and their correction comes.

The true man of God is full of power to declare the truth to the brethren. he obeys the Word of the LORD and warns or the coming correction for the sins of the Ekklesia and the sins of the nations.

Isaiah 58:1  Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.

Micah  3:8 But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the LORD, and of judgment, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.

3:9 Hear this, I pray you, ye heads of the house of Jacob, and princes of the house of Israel, that abhor judgment, and pervert all equity.

3:10 They build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity.

Today’s religions, including the spiritually called out Ekklesia,  are built upon the iniquity of Idolizing men and their false teachings and traditions, instead of relying on the Word of Almighty God.

3:11 The heads thereof judge for reward [take bribes], and the priests thereof teach [will teach whatever the people want for money] for hire, and the prophets thereof divine [foretell whatever the people want to hear for money] for money: yet will they lean [yet they claim to be God’s chosen leaders] upon the LORD, and [call themselves godly as they teach the brethren to depart from the truth and to follow every false way] say, Is not the LORD among us? none evil can come upon us.

All these evils are done by today’s religious leaders and most of the leaders and elders in the called out Ekklesia; and then they say “we are God’s people, no harm shall befall us.”

3:12 Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of the forest.

Our false leaders and elders who tech to sin, and the people that you deceive to follow you; will be plowed under and brought to ruin until you learn that the Eternal is God.

Micah 4

The prophecy now shifts to the coming Kingdom of God

Micah 4:1 But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain [government] of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains [all the earth’s governments], and it shall be exalted above the hills [smaller local governments]; and people shall flow unto it.

4:2 And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

At that time Messiah, Jesus Christ will come with all his chosen saints and shall establish his new physical millennial Temple on the Holy Mount at Jerusalem, and Jerusalem shall the capitol of all nations and all the peoples of the entire earth.

The nations of the earth shall look to Jerusalem and to the House of God [the millennial Temple] there, and shall worship God the Father and live by the whole Word of God, which godly righteousness shall be spread abroad from Jerusalem by the King of kings, Jesus Christ.

4:3 And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

War and violence and the breaking of God’s commandments shall be destroyed and Satan shall be banished for one thousand years in a millennial Sabbath of rest for humanity with their Creator.

4:4 But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it.

All people shall sit in security and none shall be afraid of any violence against themselves, or their property.

4:5 For all people will walk every one in the name of his God, and we will walk in the name of the LORD our God for ever and ever.

May God speed that day!

Joel 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

2:29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

Micah 4:6 In that day, saith the LORD, will I assemble her [Israel] that halteth [had balked at serving God], and I will gather her that is driven out [in correction for not living by EVERY WORD of God], and her that I have afflicted;

4:7 And I will make her that halted [shied away from serving God] a remnant, and her that was cast far off [Those who were corrected and afflicted by God for  balking like a stubborn mule at serving him, will be delivered and will  become a strong nation] a strong nation: and the LORD shall reign over them in mount Zion from henceforth, even for ever.

The remnant of Israel and Judah shall both be brought back to Palestine and shall become a strong united kingdom under David their king, and David shall rule under the authority of the King of Kings, Jesus Christ the Creator and Savior of humanity; who shall rule over all the earth.

4:8 And thou, O tower of the flock, the strong hold of the daughter of Zion, unto thee shall it come, even the first dominion; the kingdom shall come to the daughter of Jerusalem.

To the daughter of Jerusalem; the latter day Jerusalem; shall the King of kings come.

The Time of Jacob’s Trouble

4:9 Now why dost thou cry out aloud? is there no king in thee? is thy counsellor perished? for pangs [The correction of tribulation and affliction as we are humbled that a new world of joy and peace might be born] have taken thee as a woman in travail.

4:10 Be in pain, and labour to bring forth, O daughter [latter day physical and spiritual Israel] of Zion, like a woman in travail: for now shalt thou go forth out of the city, and thou shalt dwell in the field, and thou shalt go even to Babylon [the New Europe]; there shalt thou be delivered; there the LORD shall redeem thee from the hand of thine enemies.

We shall be in great tribulation for our many sins; yet when we are humbled and sincerely repentant in the lands of our captivity: We SHALL be delivered and a new world of righteousness will be born!  The nations that have corrected us will also be corrected and humbled so that all nations can be grafted into spiritual Israel.

4:11 Now also many nations are gathered against thee, that say, Let her be defiled, and let our eye look upon Zion.

4:12 But they know not the thoughts of the LORD, neither understand they his counsel: for he shall gather them as the sheaves into the floor.

The armies of Europe and of Asia shall be gathered together at Jerusalem by the hand of the Lord that he might thrash them like wheat.

4:13 Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion: for I will make thine horn iron, and I will make thy hoofs brass: and thou shalt beat in pieces many people: and I will consecrate their gain unto the LORD, and their substance unto the Lord of the whole earth.

The Eternal will come with his saints and Judah will also fight at Jerusalem, and the British and Americans will rise up out of their captivity and rush upon all the strongholds of their enemies, being strengthened by the Eternal in the day of their sincere repentance and deliverance.

Zechariah 14:13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the Lord shall be among them; and they [the wicked who resist Christ at his coming] shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour.

14:14 And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance.

Micah 5

A Prophecy of Messiah

Micah 5:1 Now gather thyself in troops, O daughter [The Roman army crucifies Christ, but he does not remain dead]  of troops: he hath laid siege against us: they shall smite the judge of Israel with a rod upon the cheek.

A prophecy that Messiah would be born in Bethlehem

5:2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting [the Creator who existed from everlasting, shall be made flesh and in the flesh shall be born in Bethlehem] .

5:3 Therefore will he give them [Judah / Israel] up, until the time that she [physical Israel /Judah] which travaileth hath brought forth: then the remnant of his brethren [Israel /Judah shall be reunited] shall return unto the children of Israel.

Christ will give up the bulk of Judah / Israel until the time of her correction and repentance comes; then Judah shall be reunited with Israel and enter a New Covenant with the Eternal, (Jer 31:31).

5:4 And he [Messiah] shall stand and feed in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God; and they [Israel shall be saved] shall abide: for now shall he [Messiah the Christ] be great unto the ends of the earth [Christ shall rule all nations] .

When Christ comes he shall act in the name and by the authority of God the Father, and he shall rule to the very ends of the earth.

5:5 And this man [Messiah shall come to deliver] shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land: and when he [The Assyrian, as a type of the modern soon coming New Europe] shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men.

5:6 And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders.

When Christ comes he shall defeat the invader and destroyer of his heritage. I do not know what these shepherds and principle men are.  Those of Israel who remain shall be sincerely repentant and shall embrace the Eternal, they shall be unstoppable by the power of God.

5:7 And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the LORD, as the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men.

5:8 And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many people as a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who, if he go through, both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver.

In the day that Christ comes all Israel will have been scattered throughout the nations, yet they shall be delivered.  Then all who oppose God and his people shall be overcome.

5:9 Thine hand shall be lifted up upon thine adversaries, and all thine enemies shall be cut off.

In the 42 months of our correction, God shall destroy our idols, including our corporate churches, and our false prophets and false teachers who exalt themselves and their traditions above the Word of God.

5:10 And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD [to his enemies], that I will cut off thy horses out of the midst of thee, and I will destroy thy chariots [God will destroy the armies and weapons of those who oppose Christ]:

When Christ comes he shall destroy all wickedness and rebellion against God  from off the face of the earth

5:11 And I will cut off the cities of thy land, and throw down all thy strong holds:

5:12 And I will cut off witchcrafts out of thine hand; and thou shalt have no more soothsayers:

5:13 Thy graven images [all idolatry] also will I cut off, and thy standing images out of the midst of thee; and thou shalt no more worship the work of thine hands.

5:14 And I will pluck up thy groves out of the midst of thee: so will I destroy thy cities.

5:15 And I will execute vengeance in anger and fury upon the heathen [the rebellious against God, who exalt their idols above the Eternal as the Ekklesia does today] , such as they have not heard.

Micah 6

The Eternal’s controversy with the nations of today

Micah  6:1 Hear ye now what the LORD saith; Arise, contend thou before the mountains [governments, nations], and let the hills [small nations and provinces] hear thy voice.

6:2 Hear ye, O mountains, the LORD’s controversy, and ye strong foundations of the earth: for the LORD hath a controversy with his people, and he will plead with Israel.

The Eternal will plead with his people by strong correction, before all the governments and peoples of the earth.

God asks us, why we have turned aside from him to follow idols?

6:3 O my people, what have I done unto thee? and wherein have I wearied thee? testify against me.

6:4 For I brought thee up out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed thee out of the house of servants [bondage, servitude]; and I sent before thee Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.

6:5 O my people, remember now what Balak king of Moab consulted, and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him [Balaam answered Balak that God had blessed Israel and would not curse them] from Shittim unto Gilgal; that ye may know the righteousness of the LORD.

God reveals his good works and blessings towards his people and then asks for only faithfulness to his commandments which are for our own  good in return.

God wants humility, justice and mercy without sin rather than sacrifice for sin.  God wants us to do no sin at all so that sacrifice for sin is no longer needed!

6:6 Wherewith shall I come before the LORD, and bow myself before the high God? shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves of a year old?

6:7 Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams, or with ten thousands of rivers of oil? shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?

6:8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

6:9 The LORD’s voice crieth unto the city, and the man of wisdom shall see thy name: hear ye the rod, and who hath appointed it.

The warnings have gone out; who will take them to heart and turn his face to the Eternal in true wholehearted repentance and zeal for his statutes and commandments?  If we will not repent now; then let us hear and respond to the rod of God’s loving correction positively with sincere repentance, that the spirit may be saved.

If we will yet remain wicked and selfish to deceive and defraud, we shall surely be afflicted.

6:10 Are there yet the treasures of wickedness in the house of the wicked, and the scant measure that is abominable?

6:11 Shall I count them pure with the wicked balances, and with the bag of deceitful weights?

6:12 For the rich men thereof are full of violence, and the inhabitants thereof have spoken lies, and their tongue is deceitful in their mouth.

Will God hold those who cheat and steal, who are violent and seek personal advantage; guiltless?

Here is the  curse upon the wicked who commit idolatry exalting idols and traditions of men above the Word of God and persecuting those who are zealous to live by EVERY WORD of God.

God will smite and correct us until we do wholeheartedly repent.

6:13 Therefore also will I make thee sick in smiting thee, in making thee desolate because of thy sins.

6:14 Thou shalt eat, but not be satisfied; and thy casting down shall be in the midst of thee; and thou shalt take hold, but shalt not deliver; and that which thou deliverest will I give up to the sword.

6:15 Thou shalt sow, but thou shalt not reap; thou shalt tread the olives, but thou shalt not anoint thee with oil; and sweet wine, but shalt not drink wine.

Like our forefathers, our nations are full of idolatry and sin; and like our forefathers of the priesthood of Aaron who led the people astray, so are most leaders and elders of the called out Ekklesia today.   For they teach the brethren to follow idols of men and to turn aside from any zeal to live by the whole Word of God.

6:16 For the statutes of Omri [idolatry] are kept, and all the works of the house of Ahab[idolatry and adultery], and ye [the spiritual; leaders and elders of the Ekklesia today] walk in their counsels [to do wickedness and provoke the Eternal]; that I should make thee a desolation, and the inhabitants thereof an hissing: therefore ye shall bear the reproach of my people.

Those who bow to the idols of men, organizations and false traditions,  and commit the same sins as ancient Samaria; will not be judged guiltless.

Micah 7

God speaks through Micah lamenting that there is nothing to harvest.  This an allegory that there are no longer any large clusters of righteous godly people remaining in the called out Ekklesia; only scattered individuals here and there.  God says that the field has no barley to harvest, only a grain here and a handful there, who are zealous to live by EVERY WORD of God.

Micah 7:1 Woe is me! for I am as when they have [when someone else has taken the harvest] gathered the summer fruits, as the grapegleanings of the vintage: there is no cluster to eat: my soul desired the firstripe fruit.

The true pillars of God are; one here and another there, and there are no big clusters of first fruits, for the majority have fallen away into idolizing men and false traditions and organizations above the Word of God and will not turn away from their errors.

God speaks in a generality here because of the extremely rarity of zealous godly persons; even in the spiritually called out.

7:2 The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is none upright among men [except for the extremely rare faithful individual]: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net.

7:3 That they may do evil with both hands earnestly, the prince asketh, and the judge asketh for a reward; and the great man, he uttereth his mischievous desire: so they wrap it up.

Our leaders take bribes and seek reward and personal advantage, respecting persons in their judgments and exalting their own ways and false traditions over the commandments of God.

7:4 The best of them is as a brier: the most upright is sharper than a thorn hedge: the day of thy watchmen and thy visitation cometh; now shall be their perplexity.

The day of our calamity is at hand; who takes it to heart and turns to their God?

7:5 Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide [an elder]: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom.

Faithfulness to and zeal for God, will bring the enmity of the people and of the COG brethren. Today the COG groups will tolerate just about any sin, but they will not tolerate a zeal to wholeheartedly live by every Word of God as Christ commanded (Mat 4:4).

This prophecy was  quoted by Christ

Matthew 10:35  For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

Micah 7:6 For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man’s enemies are the men of his own house.
Few can be trusted which causes the godly to draw even closer to God!

7:7 Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.

I will seek the Eternal all my days; and my feet shall not depart from his ways.

The attitude of repentance that is acceptable to God.  Godly people are not afraid of anything, not even death itself; for they KNOW that God will deliver them!

7:8 Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.

Let us accept the correction of our Father

7:9 I will bear the indignation of the LORD, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness.

Those who despise the wholeheartedly zealous for God today, shall be corrected and shall come to understand and repent of that attitude

7:10 Then she that is mine enemy shall see it, and shame shall cover her which said unto me, Where is the LORD thy God? mine eyes shall behold her: now shall she be trodden down as the mire of the streets.

God will deliver those who he loves after he has corrected their errors and they have returned unto him.  His correction is a manifestation of his great love in that he desired to save us from our wickedness by humbling us that we might turn to him and remain faithful for eternity.

When Messiah the Christ comes he shall build Jerusalem and the millennial Temple, and all nations shall flow unto Him.

7:11 In the day that thy walls are to be built, in that day shall the decree [of destruction] be far removed.

7:12 In that day also he shall come even to thee from Assyria, and from the fortified cities, and from the fortress even to the river, and from sea to sea, and from mountain to mountain.

All nations from the Assyrians [Germans] to the Egyptians, shall turn to the Eternal at that time.

7:13 Notwithstanding the land shall be desolate [shall be desolated for the 42 month tribulation to correct us from our wickedness] because of them that dwell therein, for the [wicked] fruit of their doings.

Our land shall be desolate because of our own evil; until the time that we honestly repent and turn from our wicked ways.  When those who are desolate sincerely repent and turn to god they shall be delivered.

7:14 Feed thy people with thy rod, the flock of thine heritage, which dwell solitarily in the wood, in the midst of Carmel: let them feed in [the fruitful lands of] Bashan [the Golan area] and Gilead [east of Galilee], as in the days of old.

When Messiah the Christ comes he will deliver with mighty deeds

7:15 According to the days of thy coming out of the land of Egypt will I shew unto him marvellous things.

As the days of deliverance from Egypt; Messiah deliver his people and the nations shall fear dreadfully and seek out the Eternal to be their God.

7:16 The nations shall see and be confounded at all their might [of God and Israel]: they shall lay their hand upon their mouth, their ears shall be deaf [in shock that those who had been crushed are delivered and risen back up by the might of God] .

7:17 They shall lick the dust like a serpent, they shall move out of their holes like worms of the earth: they shall be afraid of the LORD our God, and shall fear because of thee.

The nations of the world shall be astonished at the deliverance of the Eternal when Christ comes with his saints to execute judgment and to deliver humanity from Satan.

After our correction we will be humbled and repent to follow the LORD our DELIVERER!  Then He shall forgive all our wickedness in his tender loving mercy!

May God speed that day!

7:18 Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.

7:19 He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

7:20 Thou wilt perform the truth to Jacob, and the mercy to Abraham, which thou hast sworn unto our fathers from the days of old.
