Matthew 15 – 28

Matthew 15

Matthew 15:1 Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying, 15:2 Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread.

Jesus uses this question to teach that they transgress God’s Word by their traditions. Jesus uses the example that they do not help out needy parents, instead giving what should have helped their parents to the church; which Jesus calls a sin against God’s commandments.

This is not talking about tithes or reasonable offerings, it is talking about giving overmuch to feel righteous will being ungodly in not caring for our families.

Today the Ekklesia commit the very same sin with organizations demanding the brethren give and give to them, to the neglect of our responsibilities to our families; thus demanding that we break the Word of God.

Not caring for the families God has blessed us with is a great sin.

1 Timothy 5:8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

Did you know that willing property to these groups instead of our legitimate family heirs is a huge sin in the eyes of God?  If you have done so; take the time to obey God and change your will!

Brethren, did you know that by giving larger offerings while neglecting our responsibilities to our debtors and families:  We are sinning?

Hear the words of Jesus Christ!

Matthew 15:3 But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? 15:4 For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death. 15:5 But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; 15:6 And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.

What are our own traditions today that make God’s law of no effect?

1) Buying food and drink, cooking or traveling on the Sabbath and Holy Days and in particular the Eighth Day.

2) Buying into the sin of cooking a big Sabbath meal and making the Sabbath a mere social occasion; as opposed to exhorting one another in the faith.

3) Preaching an outreach that is business oriented and not proclaiming what we are commanded to proclaim; a message of warning and repentance from the breaking of any of God’s commandments.

4) Exalting loyalty to men and  organizations as loyalty to God.

5) Using the non Biblical Rabbinic  Calendar for religious p[urposes.

6) Divorce and Remarriage contrary to Christ’s command.

7) Compromising with God’s commandments and tolerating sin out of a false perverted and phony emotional  “love.”

8) Exalting the organizations, leaders and elders, and our false traditions; above the Word of God as our idols.

Verse 7 is an absolutely accurate description of the majority today.

15:7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, 15:8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. 15:9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

This is profoundly descriptive of the Ekklesia today. For they exalt their leaders and traditions above the word of Almighty God, making idols of men and organizations.

I am NOT against organization or coming together and working together. I am AGAINST exalting loyalty to the man or Group, as equal with or greater than, our loyalty to God!

We are to prove all things, and to follow men ONLY as they follow Christ!

I am calling these organizations to repentance and to God our Beloved Father and our espoused Husband Jesus Christ.  I am calling for the organizations to focus the people on a zeal to learn and to keep the whole Word of God; and to repent of exalting themselves above God’s Word. I am NOT calling for a dissolving  of organizations.

15:10 And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand: 15:11 Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.

The words of these groups that teach men to pollute the Saturday Biblical Sabbath and the Biblical High Days, or to follow the false traditions of men are false.

The words of these men, which amount to them saying; follow me regardless of what is right and regardless of what the Bible says; are evil and depriving many of their crowns.

The words of some who would say; this commandment was for others, or the church has decided,  or that we must keep the commandments but we are weak and Christ has already paid in advance for our sins, so a little bit of sin and compromise is all right, Christ will understand and forgive: Are an ABOMINATION to Almighty God!

Such words are lies and make a mockery of Christ and his sacrifice.  Such words defile the memory of those who were sawn asunder, or burned at the stake, or subjected to torment; because they would not admit that the Emperor, or ANY MAN, was a God along with God the Father and Christ (Heb 11).

Such words are a shame and a blasphemy against God, the apostles, prophets and the martyrs of Christ!

God’s Word is truth unto salvation, it is a healing balm for the called of God; and are words of deliverance that will ultimately heal the nations of their enslavement to Satan and sin. The words of Christ are a joy and beauty that will bring salvation to humanity.  To compromise with God’s Word and to break it on any point no matter how small is sin and brings pain, suffering, decay and death.

REPENT and be BAPTISED, commit yourself to live by every Word of God and to  “Go and sin no more,” and when all men do so, they will find peace!

15:12 Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying? 15:13 But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.

Those who reject the words of repentance and warning from Jesus Christ, will be rooted out of God’s family and will not be in the resurrection of first fruits, unless they repent.

15:14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

Those who follow such men instead of Christ; will also fall with them.

Brethren, when the two prophets come, they will affirm these things and will call upon the faithful pillars to separate our from among the faithless, so that they will not be corrected along with the faithless. .

The faithful pillars KNOW that they are weak [have little strength], therefore they love the more, and rely upon God with all their hearts and are continually seeking him; putting him first and seeking to please him through love and faithful obedience.

The majority who are the faithless, are the strong [eagles] among the flock, and in their own carnal ways, the wise of the flock. Therefore they tend to rely on their own strength and their own wisdom, neglecting the instructions of Christ.

They believe themselves to be righteous knowing all things spiritual, and have need of nothing; they are lifted up in their pride and arrogant self exaltation. They will be corrected and humbled in the only way possible; by letting them fall into the things that they fear and declare they cannot fall into because they are so righteous graphically and undeniably revealing how very wrong they are.

15:15 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Declare unto us this parable.

15:16 And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding? 15:17 Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught? 15:18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.

15:19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: 15:20 These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.

Any person that teaches to deny any part of the scriptures, or who leads others into following their own ways and rejecting any zeal to keep God’s Word; is a false teacher and an anti Christ because he is usurping the Word and authority [name] of Jesus Christ.

15:21 Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon.

15:22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. 15:23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.

Jesus heals the Canaanite.  This an analogy that in the kingdom and the resurrection to flesh even the Canaanites will have their opportunity to come to Christ and to receive the spiritual healing of salvation. They like all humanity will be delivered from bondage to Satan through the salvation of the Lamb of God in their proper time.

15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 15:25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. 15:26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs.

15:27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.

This is one of the most moving examples of humility and faith before Christ; that I have ever heard. Imagine this conversation taking place in this era of racial pride. Imagine if you were this woman being rejected because of your race; what would your attitude be.

You, who reject the commandments of God today, because they are inconvenient to you; imagine this humility before God.

This woman is truly stunning in her love, faith and humility.

Oh, that there were even a small grain of such faith and humility in the Ekklesia today.

15:28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

Jesus healed multitudes physically as a sign of his Messiah-ship; and as an allegory that he will heal both physically and spiritually when he comes to rule the nations.

Each of these handicaps has a spiritual counterpart; from opening the eyes of the blind to see physically, as opening the eyes of the spiritually blind to see spiritual things; or healing the physically dumb as an example that Christ will give understanding and open the mouths of men to praise God and teach God’s Word; or healing the physical cripple as an allegory of healing the spiritual cripple so that he may walk (live)  in the light of the Word of God!

15:29 And Jesus departed from thence, and came nigh unto the sea of Galilee; and went up into a mountain, and sat down there. 15:30 And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus’ feet; and he healed them: 15:31 Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel.

The miracle of the seven rounds of bread (and a few fishes); representing that in the Kingdom Christ will feed all people with the Word of God, the Bread of Life.

15:32 Then Jesus called his disciples unto him, and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way. 15:33 And his disciples say unto him, Whence should we have so much bread in the wilderness, as to fill so great a multitude? 15:34 And Jesus saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven, and a few little fishes.

Four thousand men plus the women and children were fed in abundance so that there was more left over than what they had in the beginning!

15:35 And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground. 15:36 And he took the seven loaves and the fishes, and gave thanks, and brake them, and gave to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. 15:37 And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets full.

15:38 And they that did eat were four thousand men, beside women and children. 15:39 And he sent away the multitude, and took ship, and came into the coasts of Magdala.

For the second time Christ feeds the multitudes; demonstrating his Messiah-ship; and as a type of the feeding of the masses with the Bread of Life when their time comes.

Matthew 16

Matthew 16:1 The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven. 16:2 He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red.

16:3 And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times? 16:4 A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed.

Here Jesus gives then the sign of Jonah that he shall lie in the grave for three full days and three full nights.   A very similar sign will be given to the earth right before the resurrection to spirit of the chosen when God’s two servants are to be dead before the whole world for 3 1/2 days, before being raised up along with the rest of the chosen.

Christ sees through the emptiness of their request, in that they have already had many signs, as he has fully fulfilled the scriptures in healing the sick, opening the eyes of the blind and the ears of the deaf, preached the righteousness of the Father and turned many to God. There is no need for an extra biblical sign, which would not be believed in any case, since the biblical signs have been rejected.

16:5 And when his disciples were come to the other side, they had forgotten to take bread. 16:6 Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees. 16:7 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread.

Here Jesus teaches about leaven as a type of sin; and about leaven as particularly the sin of the religious establishment of his day and the religious establishment of our day: which is HYPOCRISY and PRIDE and in that pride exalting themselves above the Word of God.

Luke 12:1  In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. 12:2  For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.

Matthew 16:8 Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread? 16:9 Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up? 16:10 Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?

16:11 How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees? 16:12 Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

Here Jesus begins to teach them the meaning of leaven in its spiritual application; which is the pride that leads men to reject the Word of God for their own doctrine [teachings and false traditions]; and claims to be God’s people, while rejecting much of God’s Word to follow their own ways.

Rejecting God’s Word for their own ways they become hypocrites as their pride leads them further and further away from God while they think of themselves as Godly.  This is exactly what is happening in the Ekklesia today.

16:13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? 16:14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.

It is God the Father in heaven who reveals the Word to those who diligently KEEP His Word.  Why do the brethren not understand the scriptures?  Because they are not zealous to KEEP the scriptures, and instead are zealous for their idols of men.

16:15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? 16:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

Then Jesus teaches that the Ekklesia is NOT built upon Peter or some man; the Ekklesia is built upon Jesus Christ the Rock of our salvation and the whole Word of God!  The brethren of the true Ekklesia would NEVER follow any man contrary to the whole Word of God!  They would follow God the Father and Jesus Christ; and would only follow men if and as such men are passionately faithful to the Father and Christ and the whole Word of God.

Today’s Christ rejecting [by rejecting the scriptures for their own ways and false traditions]  organizations are NOT “God’s Church!”

16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter [a pebble], and upon this rock [Jesus Christ the Rock of our salvation that led Israel our of Egypt] I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against [A prophecy of the resurrection; the grave will not prevail against Christ] it.

1 Corinthians 10:1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea 10:2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea 10:3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat 10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

The Ekklesia of God is built upon Jesus Christ and all of the apostles and prophets who wrote the scriptures and were themselves inspired by Christ as to what they taught. Our foundation is the WORD of GOD!

If we compromise with God’s Word or reject it, we have left the sure foundation of the Word of God

Ephesians 2:20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; 2:21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: 2:22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

If we build on any other foundation our character house shall perish.

Matthew 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 7:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

7:26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: 7:27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

Matthew 16:19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

The keys of the Kingdom unlock the door of salvation,  is sincere repentance and the application of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, and a commitment to live by every Word of God and  “Go and sin NO more.”

The truth is that if someone was the servant of God, he would never make any decision contrary to God’s Word,  he would be faithfully living by – and teaching – every Word of God

Romans 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

If we are the servants of God: we would be doing whatever God’s Word says and we would NEVER do what we want instead!  If we are not living and teaching every Word of God: WE ARE NOT God’ SERVANTS!

Its just that simple!  The premise that men are the servants of God is false; if they then decide as they want; contrary to the Word of God!

Matthew 16:19 is not about changing the Word of God; it is  about making decisions regarding physical matters according to the Word of God and binding or loosing all physical disputes according to the Word of God

It is the duty of the called out to live by every Word of God (Mat 4:4); and no person has the authority to change any part of God’s Word.

The keys of the kingdom are the Gospel of truth, which opens the door to Salvation through sincere repentance and the application of the sacrifice of Christ.  Keys provide access; the door to the Kingdom is Christ; the key to that door is the Gospel of sincere repentance from sin!

To Peter and the other apostles  and disciples was committed the preaching of the Gospel.

By binding and living by every Word of God we are loosed from the false traditions of men and we are liberated from bondage to sin and death.

Why will the brethren go back into slavery of bondage to sin; after they have been liberated from such enslavement?   If we stand on the Word of God and refuse to follow idols of men away from the Word of God; we are free from enslavement to Satan, bondage to sin and idols of men and their false ways.

Peter and all men of God are to preach the Gospel of warning and repentance unto salvation; and to loose men from the false traditions of men which make God’s law of no effect; teaching every person to live by every Word of God!

This is NOT about Christ giving Peter the right and authority to change God’s Word; for if all authority is vested in men, then we should give the scriptures to another and reject them as having no authority. Christ never intended that some men begin to bind and loose HIS Word and to create a religion of themselves. if he did, why did he waste time on inspiring the scriptures or in teaching them at all?

16:20 Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ.

Jesus regularly told people to keep silent about his Messiah-ship or various healings.

WHY?  Because he wanted the people to focus on and follow his teachings, rather than to follow him for the sake of personal advantage.  A man of God would never try to focus the brethren on himself with false titles and claims as so many do today, granting themselves grand titles to deceive the people to follow them.

The responsibility of any man of God is to focus the brethren on God the Father as Jesus did!  and to focus the brethren on keeping the Word of God as Jesus did;  NEVER to use God to focus the brethren on themselves, to follow them as idols of men!

16:21 From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day. 16:22 Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee. 16:23 But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.

Peter, not understanding the prophecies and loving Christ, did not want to believe that Jesus would be killed and that the Kingdom would not be set up at that time.

16:24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. 16:25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

We are to accept our burdens on behalf of our calling, and are to faithfully endure persecution and death following the example of Christ. If we will not even give up polluting the Sabbath now, in the relatively good times; how shall we ever overcome in the hard times?

We are NEVER to compromise with our zeal to keep God’s Word in our lives; and it is an appalling abomination to compromise with the Gospel as a message of warning and sincere repentance to passionately keep the whole Word of God; for the business model that HWA adopted in the 70’s and which those he trained have followed to this day.

16:26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? 16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

To trade eternity for a meal in a restaurant on a Sabbath or Holy Day now; or to reject God’s Word on God’s calendar to follow the false traditions; or to compromise and tolerate sin and false teachings in order to remain in an apostate from the Word of God group and be influenced by their leaven;  is a very bad bargain!

16:28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

This is a reference to seeing the resurrected Christ in a vision.  This does not mean that Christ would set up the kingdom at that time as some of the disciples must have supposed.

Matthew 17

Matthew 17:1 And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, 17:2 And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. 17:3 And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.

This vision showed Christ in his glory and Moses and Elijah with him; thus showing that all three will be in the Kingdom. This vision fulfills the prophecy of Mat 16:28.

17:4 Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.

The voice of an angel of God the Father is heard

17:5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.  17:6 And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid.

The very Father in heaven then gives his approval of Christ his only begotten son. The Father commanding that we listen to the Son; NOT commanding that we listen to Peter, or some self appointed apostle, or the Rabbins.  The Father in heaven himself COMMANDS us to hear the SON; and the Son teaches us to live by EVERY Word of God the Father!

It is so evil and ridiculous, it is such an incredible ABOMINATION; to say that some mere mortal man has the right to change the Word of God! It is this abominable attitude of rebellion against, and exalting men above; our GREAT MAGNIFICENT GOD: that is the very attitude fo Satan himself!

Some have said that this mark of the beast is Sabbath pollution and the observance of Sunday, yet if one breaks one point of the law, one has broken the whole law. The mark of the Beast is the mark of Satan who is the arch rebel and the father of rebellion against God.

Every person who does not obey God fully, and makes excuses for sin, or compromises with God’s commandments; has the mark of the beast in his attitude of mind and his actions of rebellion against God!

This mark of rebellious attitude and action against God was first applied to mankind in the garden when Eve and then Adam rebelled against God and sought to become gods unto themselves, deciding right and wrong for themselves. To bind and loose God’s word; is to decide for ourselves what is right and wrong! It IS the MARK OF THE BEAST [Satan].

ONLY those who are faithful to God the Father and Christ; who follow the Lamb withersoever he goeth; and are passionately loyal and DOERS of all the commandments of God; who refuse and reject the very idea of deciding for themselves what is right or wrong and who rely totally on God as their moral authority; will be in the resurrection to spirit!

This is so very vital! To say that Christ will understand if we sin and will forgive wilful sin, because he knows men are weak; and to say that we should tolerate sin, out of a misguided false idea of “love’; or to say that we can compromise with the will and commandments of God is to exalt the authority of any person or organization above the Word of God: Which IS THE MARK OF THE BEAST!

Those who do such things; WILL NOT be in the resurrection to spirit!

Brethren, all organizations and persons who obey men as their idols, and are not zealous to obey the whole Word of God:  Have the Mark of the beast!

God is NOT against organization: He is against the exalting of organizations and men ABOVE the Word of Almighty God!

Revelation 15:2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.

Matthew 17:7 And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid. 17:8 And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only. 17:9 And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.

Elijah will restore all things and will also reveal the promised new knowledge and understanding.  This has in a certain manner already begun with restoring the Scriptural Calendar; with restoring the sanctity of the Sabbath; with restoring a passionate zeal for God’s Word!  and with advances in understanding of the prophets, the High Days and Festivals and much else.  This process will advance and increase with God’s two servants until most of the earth is ready to accept Messiah the Christ when He appears!

Then Christ again tells them that he must die and then rise again

17:10 And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come? 17:11 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things. 17:12 But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them. 17:13 Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.

Christ reveals that John was indeed the Elijah who prepared the way for his first coming, as another in the same attitude, power and spirit; will prepare the way for his second coming. He also notes that only those looking for Christ recognized John as Elijah and the religious and political leaders of the day rejected John and his teachings. John did not run around saying: “Listen to me, I am Elijah”. He let his fruits do that for him.

17:14 And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying, 17:15 Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water. 17:16 And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.

17:17 Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer [endure] you? bring him hither to me. 17:18 And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.

Belief or faith must be married to faithfully keeping the Word of God.  When that happens there is the power of the authority of the Word of God in us.  When we reject any part of God’s Word for our own false idols of men and false traditions; God’s spirit and God’s power will leave us, because we have left the source of our power.

To turn away from a zeal to learn and to keep the whole Word of God, is just like flipping a light switch off.  The power is cut off and we become blinded by the darkness; while losing all the authority of God and the scriptures.  NO MAN has any religious authority; only the Word of God has any authority.

In the case of the disciples they had no power because of a lack of faith; in our case , we have no authority if we rebel against the Word of God!

17:19 Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. 17:21 Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

Christ instructs us that our faith is increased by prayer and fasting [humbling ourselves before God]; this word “prayer” can be expanded to included being always of a prayerful attitude, continually thinking of the things of God and meditating on the Word of God. In other words, our faith is increased by our contact with and the closeness of our relationship with God.

17:22 And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men: 17:23 And they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised again. And they were exceeding sorry.

The betrayal is first mentioned.  They were grieved that he said that he must die, not yet understanding the prophets and the reason that he must die.

17:24 And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute money came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute [taxes]? 17:25 He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers? 17:26 Peter saith unto him, Of strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free.

Christ here said that the Creator and his children need not pay tribute to themselves; however he as King of Israel did pay, to fulfill righteousness and to avoid stirring up unnecessary persecution.  We are not to seek persecution, nor are we to fear it.  We are to behave wisely and not provoke in small matters, yet we are NOT to compromise with the law of God or its proclamation.  Do pay your taxes! or move out of the jurisdiction to live elsewhere.

17:27 Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.

Matthew 18

Jesus makes it plain that if we do not keep the Word of God the Father in heaven as a small child trusts and follows his loving parent, we shall in no wise be resurrected to spirit. Those who reject the scripture on the Biblical Calendar, or who trample all over the sanctity of the Sabbath, or who reject any zeal to live by every Word of God, to follow idols of men, are not fit to be a part of the bride of Christ.

To spell this out:  Most of today’s Ekklesia; WILL NOT be in the resurrection to spirit and eternal life; UNLESS THEY SINCERELY REPENT of their IDOLATRY and spiritual ADULTERY and their total lack of childlike humility and zeal to follow God their Father in haven to live by His EVERY Word!

Matthew 18:1 At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? 18:2 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

That old issue of politics again enters the scene. These men thinking that they will be some great men in the Kingdom each wants to be the greatest, just like in the church today. Each man striving for his own cause and if they continue in that attitude, quickly losing sight of Christ and their mission to serve God above all else.

This is in no way a new problem and was regularly dealt with by Christ, who even had to give instructions and an object lesson at his last Passover. This is a VERY IMPORTANT matter. And very many of our leaders today have fallen into this same trap of seeking personal advantage, instead of a life of true service to God and HIS flock. They do cloak their personal ambition by saying that they are only trying to serve better; but Almighty God knows better!

Such men will not even be in the resurrection to spirit unless they repent and humble themselves before God; seeking his wisdom and DOING all of Gods commandments, as little children trust and obey their parents in true unpretentious passionate love for their father. Christ himself says that such people are not even converted and need to become converted to a full true sincere repentance, turning away from compromise and sin, and toward a child-like, Christ-like passion for God our Father.

18:4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 18:5 And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me. 18:6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

The attitude of a small child [before he is infected with this societies evils] is the very attitude that Christ has for his Father: absolute faith and trust, absolute faithful passionate love and obedience; and an exalting of God the Father above all self interest and all else! If we become like that also, and we begin to have the same attitude that Christ has; we are truly internalizing Jesus Christ.

To be filled with personal ambition like very many in the Ekklesia today, is to be like Satan and his worldly society.

To offend and harm the faithful and persecute the zealous to live by every Word of God, is to offend and seek harm to Christ! The personally ambitious and political persons will NOT be held guiltless by our Father. Seeking personal advantage is the root cause of much evil; as the shepherds feed themselves and do not feed the flock with the Word of God, because that very Word convicts them of their actions.

Those who persecute the zealous for God; will not be held guiltless by the Almighty!

18:7 Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh! 18:8 Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.

What offends God is SIN, which is the transgression of his law (1 John 3:4). It would be better to be a cripple and be in the resurrection to spirit, then to offend God with any sin, including that of putting one’s personal ambition above his commandments, or abusing his flock.

Those who abuse the flock, by playing politics and trying to be seen as the nice guy and NOT rebuking sin and those who fail to teach the way to salvation and instead put a stumbling block before the flock, teaching them to compromise and tolerate sin: Will have a great correction.

This is a grave warning to all those who would lead the flock astray into a lukewarm tolerance of unrepentant and unrebuked sin.

18:9 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire. 18:10 Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven. 18:11 For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.

This is a message to many today, who would persecute and condemn these little ones who have the faith, love and humility to be zealous for God their Father and his will. If you condemn them for their zeal, if you call them over righteous and Pharisees; if you twist scriptures to try and mislead them: You SHALL face a severe judgment unless you repent quickly.

Christ is calling sinners to repentance, and that includes the sinful in these organizations calling themselves God’s church. If you condemn the one who repents and turns to God in zeal just to feel good about your own lack of zeal; you SHALL face a judgment, unless you quickly repent

18:12 How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray? 18:13 And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray. 18:14 Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.

God the very Father himself, who is ruler of the universe, loves those who are repentant and turn to him in passionate zeal.  When you attack them and seek to lead them astray; when you seek to cause them to give up their zeal through your temptations and criticisms; you are offending the Mighty God of Eternity!

Repent quickly and likewise turn to God the Father!

18:15 Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. 18:16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.

Here we are commanded to do our best to work out our problems with others.

If you are offended in any person; go immediately and directly, and seek to resolve the matter privately in humility. Do not go and say: “you evil man, you did such and such;” no, rather go to him and say “there is a matter that I do not understand, why did you do this?” Speak softly and seek peace.

Do not delay and allow the matter to fester and grow out of all proportion in your imagination; go immediately.

18:17 And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.

If he/she will not respond then go to the Ekklesia for a judgment; and if sin be found let the sinner be accounted wicked and rejected until he repents.

The following about binding and loosing; has nothing to do with binding and loosing God’s Word!  Quite the contrary, it is referring to binding and loosing or judging DISPUTES among the brethren; Based on God’s Word!  The context above is clearly about disputes among the brethren!

18:18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. 18:19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you [the faithful followers and zealous keepers of God’s Word]  shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall [Lawfully and according to scripture] ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

The context of this matter is that when those in the faith agree, based on God’s law, concerning a matter of dispute among brethren; God will bind that decision.

Such a decision MUST be a matter of legitimate POOF based on God’s commandments and be just, fair and equitable. This is about making decisions based on God’s Word; it is NOT talking about making decisions contrary to, or outside of God’s law.

Any decision made by those faithful to and zealous for God’s commandments; based on God’s Word and consistent with God’s Word; will be bound and backed up by God Almighty.

18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

If some are gathered together in Christ’s name, and are acting faithfully according to God’s Word; He WILL back them up.

If they are acting contrary to his Word, or contrary to God’s commandments; God WILL NOT, NO NEVER, back anyone up in such a sin!

If we are the servants of Christ: WE WILL BE DOING WHAT CHRIST HAS COMMANDED!

If we are not doing what God has commanded: WE ARE NOT HIS SERVANTS!

Its just that simple!

Romans 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

Matthew 18:21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? 18:22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

If the person is genuinely repentant and trying, diligently our forgiveness should be endless, because he may offend in many different things over time. If he offends in the same thing endlessly, we should warn him of his offense or sin and it might be better to avoid the situation in future as well as to forgive.  [Matthew 18:15 Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother]

Know this, healing from any abuse begins with forgiveness, even if he is unrepentant. I am not saying to remain being abused, one can leave an abuser.  What I am saying is that holding grudges will eat you up emotionally and spiritually like a cancer eats up our bodies.

We need to do that most difficult of things and forgive the sinner; while hating the actual sin.

Remember that while we were still sinners Christ gave himself for us.

Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Zechariah 13:6 And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.

A parable of forgiveness

Matthew 18:23 Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants. 18:24 And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents. 18:25 But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.

18:26 The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. 18:27 Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt.

This is a lesson that God as the Great King forgives the sincerely repentant.

This is a parable of the sinner who was forgiven much and then holds grudges and refuses to forgive others.

18:28 But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest. 18:29 And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. 18:30 And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt. 18:31 So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, [upset, angry]  and came and told unto their lord all that was done.

If we, who have been forgiven much; should refuse to forgive others; then we shall be judged for our lack of love and our own refusal to forgive others.

18:32 Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me: 18:33 Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee? 18:34 And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him.

18:35 So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

Matthew 19

Matthew 19:1 And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these sayings, he departed from Galilee, and came into the coasts of Judaea beyond Jordan; 19:2 And great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there.

19:3 The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?

They obviously knew that this would be an issue with Christ. Remember that Jesus grew up discussing these things with the doctors of the law as early as the age of 12. It is quite possible that he was well known among these men and had been in frequent discussions with some of them over time.

In effect these Pharisees were calling him out in public on a point that was likely to be unpopular with the people. Yet Christ was content to boldly declare the truth.

19:4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, 19:5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? 19:6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

Notice that Jesus Christ forbids divorce!   Why?  Because God HATES putting away!

Malachi 2:16  For the Lord, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the Lord of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.

The disciples ask about the law, and Jesus explains that divorce was permitted because of the sinful nature of people; but that the spirit and intent of the Creator was that one man marry one woman permanently.

Matthew 19:7 They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?

19:8 He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.

Jesus then gives the only reason to lawfully divorce; which is Pornea!  While mistranslated fornication here; the word Pornea actually means any kind of disloyalty including adultery, homosexuality or abandonment.

19:9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication [adultery, pornea], and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.

Divorce was allowed because of the wickedness of the people; it was better to have a divorce than to have a couple living in abject misery due to unrepentant sin, abuse and hatred.

The converted person should never behave wickedly and is to be repentant and following all the commandments of God. The man leading by example and instruction in love and NOT by dominating and bullying; the woman working to support, assist and be a help to her husband, instead of for what she thinks she can get out of the deal.

The words “fornication” and “adultery” here are from the Greek “Pornea” which mean the same thing: Any disloyalty, especially sexual. The ONLY legitimate cause for divorce is unrepentant sexual disloyalty, or abandonment.

1 Corinthians 7:15 But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage [bound by marriage when their spouse has abandoned the faith and will not live in peace] in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.

It is unlawful and sin for two people (BOTH claiming to be converted and both remaining in the assembly), to divorce and especially to remarry others. That is SIN and those who do such things are NOT obeying Christ.

Matthew 19:10 His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry.

Jesus then says that most people cannot keep this command, but that the converted who have his spirit will keep it and obey God.

There are many elders and brethren claiming to be converted who are living in adultery today.  They have forgotten the words of God by Malachi and live in sin.

19:11 But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given [God’s enabling spirit]. 19:12 For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother’s womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.

The solution to preventing divorce in the faith is for each mate to truly love the other and for each to be personally repentant of sin, and continually forgiving of each other!  Any couple that divorces with both still claiming to be “In the faith,” commits sin!  and if they  marry another, they are living in adultery!

Then children were brought to Christ as an allegory that we all must come to Him in humility and trust, as a small child comes to his parents.

19:13 Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them. 19:14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. 19:15 And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence.

This is a direct reference to the comments on becoming like little children, in trusting love and humble faith toward God our Father. Jesus here uses this opportunity to enforce that message with this illustration.

19:16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?

19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

This question is used to emphasize that it is God the Father who is being obeyed and followed by Christ; and that the ONLY way to salvation is to live by every Word of God the Father. There is nothing ambiguous here: if you want eternal life, you MUST keep all of God’s commandments with zeal and without excuse or compromise.  Jesus then lists a few of the Big Ten.

19:18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, 19:19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

The deceitfulness of physical things.  If our focus is on the physical and not on the spiritual we have departed from the faith.

The issue is not wealth itself, but our primary focus and pursuits.

If we love money, or power, or friends, or family, or corporate organizations, more than we love to keep the Word of God; they have become our idols.

19:20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?

19:21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. 19:22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.

The lesson here is also clear; those persons fixed on the things of this world will tend to trust in them and will not be focused on the spiritual things of God. We MUST be prepared to give up ALL physical things, right up to and including our very lives to obey God to the absolute end; in order to receive eternal life.

Our dedication to Christ and God the Father MUST be complete, total and absolute.

19:23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. 19:24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

Some have agonized over this very simple saying; which is only intended as a graphic illustration of the difficulties of focusing on God when distracted by riches and the pursuit of advantage in this world.

19:25 When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? 19:26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With [unconverted] men this is impossible; but with God [with God’s spirit and help we CAN become totally dedicated to God the Father and to a zeal and passionate love of his Word.] all things are possible.

When God is working with a person: all things are indeed possible. He often allows men to go through a lengthy period of many years of suffering and poverty to build their character to the point that they can handle wealth before blessing them. One need only remember Joseph or David for an example.  Very often many have died in great suffering to gain that pearl of great price.

On the other hand God will allow great trials to destroy anything that comes between us and him; and that includes taking away our wealth as in Job’s case. When we go through such trials of loss it is wise to seek to understand why, rather than to lament the loss; for physical loss is for God’s called out, only spiritual gain; as God the Father teaches us lessons that will last for eternity.

19:27 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore? 19:28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

The twelve are each promised ruler-ship over a tribe of Israel, and David was promised kingship over all Israel; and Christ is to rule all nations.  Those who suffer to gain a place in the Promised Land of eternal life shall have a great reward.

19:29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life. 19:30 But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.

This is explained in the following parable.

Matthew 20

Matthew 20:1 For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard. 20:2 And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard. 20:3 And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace, 20:4 And said unto them; Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way.

20:5 Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise. 20:6 And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle? 20:7 They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive.

20:8 So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first. 20:9 And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny. 20:10 But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and they likewise received every man a penny.

20:11 And when they had received it, they murmured against the goodman of the house, 20:12 Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day.

20:13 But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny? 20:14 Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee.

20:15 Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good? 20:16 So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.

The message of the parable is that Christ is in control and will decide the rewards of his called out and any offices and responsibilities in his kingdom.

The point of this parable is that Christ does the rewarding; doing what he wants with his own possessions, according to HIS judgment; and not according to what we think we deserve. In HIS wisdom he rewards as he decides; and he may give greater or lesser rewards according to his own pleasure and judgments; and he will choose some and reject others for his own reasons.

It is up to us to diligently and passionately keep all of God’s commandments, but that is only the minimum required. We are to go beyond that, seeking to please God at all times; and to love and put God first in all things at all times. We are to meditate on God’s Word, laws and ways day and night and work hard to internalize God within us to the point that we become like him in our very natures.

Our focus is to be on the work of internalizing the nature of God, and not on any reward we might imagine is our supposed right.

Many there are who are “doing a great work” of their own devising; and not doing what Christ has commanded, and even living in sin; compromising with the commandments and tolerating sin without rebuking it.

Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

The time is now coming for our Lord to be sacrificed and he begins to teach his disciple what must soon come to pass.

Matthew 20:17 And Jesus going up to Jerusalem took the twelve disciples apart in the way, and said unto them, 20:18 Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, 20:19 And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.

Then the issue of who will be greatest arises.

20:20 Then came to him the mother of Zebedees children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him. 20:21 And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom.

Once again politics and who will be the greatest enters the picture: This seems to be a continual issue within the Ekklesia to this very day. And it separates out the self seeking, from those seeking God’s ways.

Remember that these men are still very carnal, not having God’s Spirit given to them until after Christ returns from God the Father after ascending into heaven. Therefore while Christ can teach much, they can understand only in a limited manner.

When the Spirit is given, then it calls to remembrance the teachings that they have received, and gives them the understanding; IF they are willing to follow.

The self seeking power folks in the corporate church groups today, have either never been converted, or have quenched God’s Spirit through their pursuit of personal advantage, and not focusing on the things and ways of God.

The godly person will serve God and the flock diligently; rebuking sin and teaching repentance and the way into the Kingdom of God; he will not exalt himself, but will trust in Christ to take care of all his needs.

As Jesus prophesied in Mat 24, and later Jude and also Peter and Paul prophesied; very many elders and many brethren have fallen away from any zeal for the true Word of God and sound doctrine.

It has come to pass in today’s Ekklesia that they will not tolerate the sound doctrine of the scriptures.

2 Timothy 4:1   I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.

Here Paul accurately describes the state of today’s Ekklesia.

4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;  And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

John 14:25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Jesus replies that such high office is to be decided by God the Father only!  For those with eyes to see; It is the original Moses and Elijah who appeared beside Jesus at the transfiguration vision (Mat 17);  who will be on the right and left hand of Messiah in the kingdom.

Matthew 20:22 But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able. 20:23 And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.

The response to the men’s mother is that her two sons will be martyred and who sits on the right and left of Christ is in the Father’s hands. We know already that these men will each rule one of the tribes of Israel; and it is apparent from the vision on the mount, that Moses and Elijah will be at the right and left hand of Christ.

20:24 And when the ten heard it, they were moved with indignation against the two brethren.

This is Christ’s instructions for his elders including the leaders and elders of today:  Hear ye Him.

20:25 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority [Primacy of Peter type tyrannical dominance] upon them.

20:26 But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister [servant]; 20:27 And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: 20:28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Yet again it is explained to these men that the greatest is he who is the greatest servant of God, and gives himself fully to God to serve God’s flock.

Elders and leaders are FORBIDDEN to rule with rigor like Pharaoh and the rulers of this world. See how this issue continued throughout the ministry of Christ since the first calling of the disciple:  And it continued right through the last Passover; only being resolved among these men when they received God’s Spirit and finally understand what was required of them.

That these same desires for the chief seats and to dominate the brethren through the primacy of Peter Nicolaitane abomination are running rampant in the Ekklesia today; testifies to an extensive LACK of the Holy Spirit.

If we sincerely repent and call on the LORD, he will open our eyes to His will and Word even at this late date.

Then Jesus opened the eyes of two men by the road to Jericho.  As he healed physical blindness, Jesus will also heal the spiritual blindness that covers this world with darkness at his soon coming.  May that day come quickly!

Joel 2:32   And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the Lord hath said, and in the remnant whom the Lord shall call.

Matthew 20:29 And as they departed from Jericho, a great multitude followed him. 20:30 And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David. 20:31 And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David. 20:32 And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you? 20:33 They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened. 20:34 So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.

Matthew 21

Jesus and the disciples entered Jerusalem on Friday six days before Passover.  The idea of a Sunday entry into the city is based on the Catholic idea of a Friday Passover by wrongly  dating the crucifixion in 33 A.D.  Jesus said that he would be three days and three nights in the grave.  Jesus was placed in the grave late Wednesday and was resurrected as the sun set ending the Sabbath.

By our midnight to midnight calendar Jesus was resurrected on Saturday; however by the Biblical calendar he was resurrected just as the sun set ending Saturday and beginning Sunday.

Matthew 21:1 And when they drew nigh unto Jerusalem, and were come to Bethphage, unto the mount of Olives, then sent Jesus two disciples, 21:2 Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them unto me. 21:3 And if any man say ought unto you, ye shall say, The Lord hath need of them; and straightway he will send them.

21:4 All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, 21:5 Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.

Zechariah 9:9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.

This entry into Jerusalem on that Friday was a type of the entry into the city of Messiah with his chosen, after he comes to the Mount of Olives and destroys all remaining resistance.  Then the people will have been humbled and will cry out to him “Save us, Save us!” and will accept him as their King of kings.

A substantial part of the work of God’s two [after they have taken the faithful to God’s refuge] prophets will be to preach the gospel of salvation and sincere repentance; teaching the whole Word of God and preparing the nations to turn to a zeal for Christ and for the whole Word of God.

Matthew 21:6 And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them, 21:7 And brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set him thereon. 21:8 And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way. 21:9 And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the son of David: Blessed  is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna [Salvation] in the highest.

Christ is making it obvious  to the spiritually minded by these actions that he is Messiah; and the people thought that the Kingdom was to be set up immediately. The city was then all in a stir about what was happening, setting the stage for Christ’s entry into the Temple and casting out the evil doers.

Because of the multitudes of the people calling for his coronation, none dared to oppose him openly. Yet they plotted secretly lest the privileged position of the Scribes, Sadducee’s and Pharisees under the Romans should be upset.

Notice the politics here. They had disagreed and sought to resist Christ all along and now they faced him becoming King over themselves. They felt compelled to act against him to save their own positions. Rather than repent, they defended their positions and went on the attack.

Rather reminds us of today’s Pharisaical leaders of teh Ekklesia who resist the scriptures and while using the name of Christ lead the brethren in rebellion against Christ.

21:10 And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this? 21:11 And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.

Then Jesus cast out all of the unrighteous; as he will cast out all the unrepentant from among his spiritually called out!

21:12 And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves, 21:13 And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.

Then Christ opens the eyes of the blind and heals the physically sick.  When he comes he will open all eyes to understand the whole Word of God and will heal the spiritual sickness of humanity.

21:14 And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them. 21:15 And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna [Salvation] to the son of David [saying “son of David” amounted to acknowledging him as their rightful King]; they were sore displeased,

The leaders asked Christ about what the people were declaring and Jesus replied in a manner that accepted the people’s praise and call to be their King. His King-ship would have to wait until all things are fulfilled, and he will came back to receive that Kingdom at the appointed time.

21:16 And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise? 21:17 And he left them, and went out of the city into Bethany; and he lodged there.

Friday night he stayed in Bethany, and on that Sabbath morning he cursed the fig tree which had no fruit.  Many would wonder at this act for generations:  Why was he so angered at a tree that did not have any fruit for him to eat; why not just go to the next tree?

Here is the answer:  The fig tree was a type of the called out, who respond  and commit themselves; and then sit back to follow idols of men and not be zealous to live by every Word of God.  The fig tree has leaves which make it look good from a distance, but on inspection has produced NO FRUIT!  Just like the man who buried his talent for fear.

The fruitless fig tree is like the called out who are afraid to be zealous to learn and to keep the whole Word of God, and think all they have to do is to follow some man:  Which is Idolatry and spiritual adultery!

The fruitless fig tree is analogous to the called out person who produces no fruit in their life!   And like that fruit tree which had no fruit; those called out to produce spiritual fruit; will also be cursed by rejection from being a part of the collective bride at the resurrection to spirit.

21:18 Now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered. 21:19 And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away.

This was not done out of an unwarranted anger against a mere tree. This was done as an object lesson that the tree [person] who does not bear fruit will not enter the kingdom in the resurrection to spirit; and is a lesson in the power of faith as well.

21:20 And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away! 21:21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

We must believe, and we can believe and KNOW that our prayer is heard; IF we keep all of God’s commandments and do what is pleasing in God’s sight. If we tolerate sin, or compromise with God’s commandments, or if we are just lukewarm; our prayers WILL NOT be heard.

1 John 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

This day being the Sabbath, Jesus went to the Temple to teach the people; and the priests demanded that he provide them with his credentials of authority.

Jesus fended them off with a question, which angered them the more.

Matthew 21:23 And when he was come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came unto him as he was teaching, and said, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority? 21:24 And Jesus answered and said unto them, I also will ask you one thing, which if ye tell me, I in like wise will tell you by what authority I do these things. 21:25 The baptism of John, whence was it? from heaven, or of men?

And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say unto us, Why did ye not then believe him? 21:26 But if we shall say, Of men; we fear the people; for all hold John as a prophet. 21:27 And they answered Jesus, and said, We cannot tell. And he said unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things.

Jesus then instructs them with a parable.

21:28 But what think ye? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work to day in my vineyard. 21:29 He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented, and went. 21:30 And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir: and went not.

Speaking to the Chief Priests of the Ekklesia of God of that day; Christ challenges them and then declares that repentant sinners will enter the Kingdom, before those who do their own thing in the name of God, thinking of themselves as godly.

Why? Because they will sincerely repent and turn to the Eternal with all their hearts; knowing their guilt and shame, and how much they have been forgiven.

21:31 Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.

The Chief Priests; which were a type of the leaders of the Ekklesia today; could NOT enter God’s kingdom because they were already righteous in their own eyes and reject knowledge thinking they know it all and have need of nothing (Rev 3).

21:32 For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him.

They did not repent at the warnings of John [Elijah] and they did not repent when the warnings came to pass; and Jerusalem was destroyed some 40 years later.

Today it is the lowly in the faith who are turning back to godly zeal; while the great in their own eyes, refuse to repent.

I HOPE and PRAY with ALL my heart; and I am fully persuaded that many of today’s leader and elders are better than that; and WILL repent when the warnings are fulfilled and the tribulation comes upon them.

21:33 Hear another parable: There was a certain householder, which planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and digged a winepress in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country: 21:34 And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it.

21:35 And the husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another. 21:36 Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they did unto them likewise.

21:37 But last of all he sent unto them his son, saying, They will reverence my son. 21:38 But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance. 21:39 And they caught him, and cast him out of the vineyard, and slew him.

21:40 When the lord therefore of the vineyard cometh, what will he do unto those husbandmen? 21:41 They say unto him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons.

You leaders and elders and brethren who condemn those seeking God with all their hearts and mock their zeal for God and his law: What will God do with you, when he rises up in his majestic power to deliver his little children of light out of your hands?

He will give the Kingdom to THEM, and you will not be among the chosen; unless you repent quickly.

21:42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?

The leadership and elderships will be taken away from those false shepherds who lead the flock to follow themselves as if they were God.  Who exalt themselves and not the whole Word of God; who USE God to exalt themselves by saying that Jesus is Christ the Son of God to lead the brethren to follow themselves away from their zeal for the Word of God.

Most of today’s church leaders and elders will be rejected by Christ in that day and will be replaced by the zealous whom they despise; who have the fruits of zeal for God and God’s Word.

21:43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation [Spiritual Israel] bringing forth the fruits thereof. 21:44 And whosoever shall fall on this stone [of Christ and Christ-like zeal for the Word of God]  shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

You, who are confident that you have accepted that Stone; who pay lip-service to that Rock, while making his instructions and commandments of no effect by your false traditions: You are deceiving yourselves; for it is the DOER of the Word that shall have Christ’s sacrifice applied to himself; NOT just the hearer and those who say “yes, Father” and then do not obey that Word!

21:45 And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he spake of them. 21:46 But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet.

The Pharisee’s fear of the people causes them to plot in secret to turn the people against Jesus. Is it not the same today?

Fear of this world; instead of a real and genuine respect and fear of God; and a lust for mammon has led to much politicking, as many leaders work to be the “nice guy” to the brethren and this world, by NOT condemning and rebuking sin!

That has led to our lack of respect for the commandments of God, turning us into a lukewarm people who compromise with God and his Word and follow idols of men.  Will we sincerely repent and turn to a passionate zeal for God and the scriptures; or will we be rejected by our LORD for our lack of any spiritual fruit [like the fig tree lacked physical fruit] and be turned away in shame and disgrace in that day?

Matthew 22

Jesus begins to teach his disciples about the coming Kingdom in parables.

Matthew 22:1 And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said, 22:2 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king [God the Father], which made a marriage for his son [Jesus Christ],

Many are called and most reject the call

22:3 And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come. 22:4 Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage. 22:5 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:

They slew the prophets and the disciples who called them to sincere repentance and a zeal for God the Father and the Son; to follow and obey them.

22:6 And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them.

This is a prophecy about the end of all those who reject a zeal for God; for their own ways, false traditions and idols of men; and a prophecy of the destruction of Jerusalem and the destruction of the latter day Ekklesia in the tribulation.

22:7 But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. 22:8 Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.

It is not those who claim to be “God’s people;” but those who do the will of God and who are zealous to learn and keep the whole Word of God; those who are passionately following the Lamb withersoever he goeth; who are worthy!

Today’s brethren who reject much scripture and  make idols of men and false traditions will be cast out from being a part of the called out to be a part of his bride by Jesus Christ.  Then God the Father will command that the humble who are zealous for Him,  should be called to the wedding.

22:9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. 22:10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad [weak and poor in worldliness] and good [humble, and absolutely faithfully loyal to God and God’s Word]: and the wedding was furnished with guests.

This is a message that only those of the called out who prove themselves faithful to their Father will be CHOSEN to rise up in the resurrection of first fruits to the Wedding Feast.

We DO NOT have it made just because we are baptized or in some particular group!  We will NEVER attain to the resurrection to spirit by following idols of men

We must overcome in a continual struggle against our natures; replacing our carnal natures with the nature of God our Father. We do that through continual earnest study, prayer and deep thought; and through DOING the things we learn to apply God’s Word in our lives; through Christ-like obedience to God the Father WITHOUT compromise!

The WAY INTO the Kingdom of God, the way INTO Salvation; is through the Door of Jesus Christ; and the key to that door is sincere repentance and a diligent effort to overcome all sin.

22:11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: 22:12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.

The wedding garment is the raiment of the righteousness of the whole Word and nature of God; if one is not clothed with the righteousness of Christ; through passionate love and obedience to God the Father and all of his commandments; one cannot enter the Wedding Feast of the Lamb.

Revelation 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. 19:8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

Those who are called out and accept the call while rejecting any part of the scriptures, and so being without the garments of godly righteousness that covers the spiritual nakedness representing sin: will NOT be in the resurrection to spirit and will NOT be a part of the collective bride of Christ at the Wedding Feast!

Unless they repent the vast majority of the Ekklesia today will NOT be in the soon coming resurrection to spirit.

Matthew 22:13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

The called out to the marriage must first prove their worthiness by diligently working to learn and to keep the whole Word of God and by  internalizing the nature of God.  Those who reject scripture for their own wicked imaginations as today’s Laodicean Ekklesia do; shall NOT be a part of the Bride at the Wedding Feast unless they sincerely repent.

22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen.

Only the diligent overcomer, who focuses on the will and law of God the Father; and who WITHOUT compromise, internalizes the very nature of  God the Father; totally rejecting sin: Will be among the chosen.

The Father and Christ are full of mercy and will quickly forgive the sincerely repentant, but THEY WILL NOT tolerate any sin; for sin destroys the people that they love so very much.

To illustrate the point: Would a good parent feed his children a cup of arsenic each week? Of course not, because that is a poison!

God expects elders to feed his flock with the good pasture of his Word; and NOT the poison of compromise with that Good Word! To allow compromise with God’s Word is to feed the flock POISON! To teach tolerance for sin, teaches men to tolerate spiritual poison in God’s temple, his people.  Today they actually reject scripture to teach falsely.

Oh, but a little compromise here or there “for the good of the flock” will not hurt them!  Have you not read that the sinner is to be rejected form the body for the good of the body and the good of the sinner, that he might be brought to repentance: for a little tolerated sin poisons the whole body?

1 Corinthians 5:1 It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father’s wife. 5:2 And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you

5:3 For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed

5:4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, 5:5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

5:6 Your glorying [in tolerating sin] is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?

Matthew 22:15 Then went the Pharisees, and took counsel how they might entangle him in his talk. 22:16 And they sent out unto him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest thou for any man: for thou regardest not the person of men. 22:17 Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not?

Jesus did not hold back from calling these people what they were.

22:18 But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites? 22:19 Shew me the tribute money. And they brought unto him a penny.

22:20 And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription? 22:21 They say unto him, Caesar’s. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s.  22:22 When they had heard these words, they marvelled, and left him, and went their way.

God’s Kingdom is not of this world. We are IN the world, yet not OF the world. As long as we are IN this world, we are to be subject to its authorities and the powers of the world; while still and always putting God FIRST. And IF a law is made that requires us to break any of God’s commandments, we are to flee that nation and go to another city or nation, as our first choice.

Matthew 10:23 But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.

Matthew 22:23 The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him, 22:24 Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother. 22:25 Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother: 22:26 Likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh. 22:27 And last of all the woman died also. 22:28 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.

Christ answers this question according to a resurrection to spirit. It is an interesting question when referenced to a resurrection to physical life. In the resurrection to physical life will they marry?  will they produce more children? In the case of the law however the answer is clear: all marriages end at death; therefore those in a resurrection to the flesh are free from past marriages.

22:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. 22:30 For in the resurrection [to spirit] they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven [without sex, being neither male nor female; hence the modern Book of Enoch is a fraud]. 22:31 But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying, 22:32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?  God is not the God of the dead, but of the living. 22:33 And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine.

Can the dead worship God? Can the dead learn any thing? Can the dead save the living?

22:34 But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together. 22:35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, 22:36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.  22:38 This is the first and great commandment.

Today the Ekklesia have departed from this greatest commandment and replaced it with the secondary commandment, departing from any zeal for God.

Yes, we should love mankind, but we should not depart from a love of God and his Word, to learn and to keep it as our FIRST priority!

22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 22:40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

To love God comes first: Why? Because God is love and loving him and his law, is the foundation of loving humanity!

If we love God; then we will love his law, for his law in BOTH letter and spirit, defines the nature of God.

The letter being a school to bring man to an understanding of the spirit and intent of that law; to give men an understanding of the very nature of God. God’s commandments, coupled with repentance and the reconciliation of forgiveness and the addition of understanding through his Spirit; is the means by which man can internalize God’s nature in place of his own carnal nature.

To reject any scripture or to compromise with God’s commandments, is to reject internalizing the very nature of God within us.  Compromise with God’s Word rejects the lead of God’s Spirit and thereby quenches that Spirit; if we do not quickly repent.

22:41 While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, 22:42 Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The son of David.

This is a little awkward here. The Pharisees did not accept Jesus [Hebrew: Yeshua] as Christ and were asking him what he thought of the still coming [to them] Messiah.

22:43 He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying, 22:44 The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool? 22:45 If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?

22:46 And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions.

Christ was the God of David, and was called Lord by David. This proves that Christ was the God of Israel who spoke to Moses and the very Creator; as well as the sacrificial Passover Lamb of God who gave himself FOR HIS creation!

The Unitarian says that Jesus did not pre-exist his human birth; what is the logical end of that argument?

1.  If Jesus was the son of Joseph and Mary, then he was not the Son of God, but the son of Joseph and Mary.  That throws out the scriptures for it is written that Jesus was the only begotten of God the Father and the Son of God.

2.   If Jesus was produced by the Father’s sperm combining with Mary’s egg we have several issues

A.  As it is written, spirits are neither male or female. Spirits have no sex and cannot reproduce sexually.

B.  You have God the Father committing adultery with Mary,  Since she was not the Father’s wife and was the espoused wife of another.

C  You are calling Christ a bastard since he would have been conceived by adultery.

Unitarianism is a form of Hellenic Rabbinic reasoning by which they reject the divinity of Christ and his Messiah-ship.  It is a blasphemy.

The truth is that man was made after the God kind, and the very Creator gave up his God-hood to be made flesh and was inserted into the womb of Mary as a human being in its smallest form by God the Father; in the same sense that a human embryo can be inserted into a surrogate mother today.

John 1:14    And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,

Jesus was the son of David in the fact that Mary his surrogate mother was of the Davidic line; however he was God made flesh and placed in Mary by God the Father without any need for, or use of an egg from Mary.  Jesus was the Creator God made flesh!  He was NOT the natural offspring of Mary!  Therefore David called  him LORD!

Matthew 23

Jesus speaks privately to his disciples and begins to criticize the Mosaic scribes and Pharisees; which are analogous to today’s Nicolaitane Laodiceans.

Jesus begins by saying that the scribes and Pharisees sat in Moses seat.  Of course that was overturned when they had Christ killed; and Jesus Christ replaced the Levitical priesthood as the new High Priest of the old order of Melchesedek, and his faithful followers became the Royal Priesthood of the New Covenant.

1 Peter 2:7   Unto you therefore which believe [and obey, see next line] he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient [to the Word of God], the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,

This is not just talking about Judaism rejecting Jesus Christ!  It is talking about ALL those who will not enthusiastically live by every Word of God as Jesus taught (Mat 4:4)!

What?  I mean that the brethren refuse to follow Jesus Christ in living by the whole Word of God as Jesus commanded us, and who reject parts of God’s Word for our own false ways and traditions; are bowing to idols and committing spiritual adultery: We are rejecting Jesus Christ!

We stumble at Christ as many teach a false Christ who will tolerate sin  and forgive any sin we might do in future in advance.  Thus making Christ’s sacrifice a license to continue in sin.

They say “keep the commandments” and then say that we are weak and Jesus understands so if we sin here and there Jesus will automatically forgive because he has paid for sin in advance, making a mockery of the sacrifice of Christ.  Mainstream Christianity has been taken in by this lie and so have very many in the Ekklesia.

We have misunderstood and so stumbled at Jesus Christ!

2 Timothy 3:4   Traitors [against the Word of God] , heady [intoxicated with pride], highminded [exalting their own ways], lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God [paying others to serve them on Sabbath for their own pleasure]; 3:5  Having a form [appearance, a put on, a show] of godliness, but denying the power [exalting themselves above the authority of the Word of God] thereof: from such turn away.

Of course we are weak and cannot overcome on our own; but with the indwelling strength of God’s Spirit and our faithful following of God’s Word we shall be overcomers.  Not by our own strength, but by the power of that ultimate overcomer, Jesus Christ!

3:8  And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.

The Called Out, the passionately obedient and faithful to Christ, zealously learning and keeping the whole Word of God as Christ commanded, are growing into the office of kings and priests; the Royal Priesthood of Jesus Christ which transcends and replaces the seat of Moses!

1 Peter 2:9  But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

Matthew 23:1 Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples, 23:2 Saying The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat: 23:3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.

The Mosaic scribes and Pharisees bind heavy burdens on the people which they do not bear themselves.  They were hypocrites not keeping what they taught.

23:4 For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.

With the death of the Husband of Israel; the marriage between Israel and Christ ended and so did the authority of the Mosaic Levitical Priesthood, the scribes and the Mosaic Pharisees!  and the Hellenized Rabbins NEVER had any right to Moses seat; they exalted themselves above Moses!

When Christ ascended to heaven and was accepted as a sacrifice for us; and became our High Priest and King of the world in waiting; the Mosaic priesthood was superseded by a reestablishment of the High Priesthood of Melchizedek.

From that time on; neither Levi, nor the Jews; had any lawful spiritual authority. They have rejected the only lawful authority in existence at this time and forever more; which is the authority of our eternal High Priest Jesus Christ.

In the Kingdom when a new physical temple is built, Levites descendants of Zadok, will again serve in that physical temple; doing those physical things necessary for that physical temple service. Yet they will also be converted to Christ and grafted into the Royal priesthood of Jesus Christ in the New Covenant at that time.

The only true Priesthood now and forever more; is that of our High Priest Jesus Christ and those called out with the potential to become priests of Christ forever in the coming Kingdom of God. All of us are in training to become priests forever in that spiritual priesthood of Jesus Christ [Melchizedek].

We are to rely on the example and teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ and the whole body of scriptures that was inspired by HIM for our religion!

23:5 But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments, 23:6 And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues, 23:7 And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi.

Sound familiar? Just substitute the word Mr. or Pope or “father” or padre etc for Rabbi, apostle, elder, prophet or evangelist!  Oh, how we love to put on a show and impress people; Oh, how we love titles and the chief seats today.

23:8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. 23:9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. 23:10 Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.

This is not about calling your true father “father’ nor is it about calling some man Mr. in common usage; it is talking about a love of ecclesiastical titles.  This is about demanding to be called father or Mr. or Rabbi as an ecclesiastical title to create a hierarchy of men between the brethren and God.

from this instruction of Jesus it has always been customary to call everyone brothers and sisters, including elders and leaders in the Ekklesia until this leaven pride infected us.  Elders were introduced as elder ******, or brother ******; until Constantine and the Popes introduced layers of authority between the people and themselves; which the brethren have bought into and which Jesus Christ says he hates.

1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 2:6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

The idea of a pyramidal structure of layers of authority between men and God is an abomination to God. It is the job of ALL elders to focus all people on God the Father and Christ: NEVER to come between the people and God; but to act as facilitators in helping men to focus DIRECTLY on God their Father through their ONLY High Priest and Mediator; Jesus Christ!

We are to prove the words of ALL men by the Word of Almighty God! We are NOT to interpret God’s Word by the words of men; but to prove the words of men by the Word of Almighty God!

Matthew 23:11 But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.

We are all to desire to serve our God and not to exalt ourselves. God will exalt or abase as HE sees fit.

23:12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

All of these men who love to exalt themselves over the people with grand titles as they spurn any zeal for God’s Word shall be abased in due time; being cast into the furnace of correction.

Those who humble themselves to be zealous to learn and to keep the whole Word of God shall be exalted by Almighty God in due time.

23:13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

How? By paying lip-service to the law while making it of no effect by the traditions of men and through rejection of scripture or compromise in the practical application of God’s Word.

23:14 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows’ houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.

Demanding money of poor widows, taking the inheritances of orphans and making a show of prayer. (See Mat 6 and Luk 18).

23:15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.

How? By teaching them to obey men, organizations and false traditions, instead of focusing them on sincere repentance and a diligent passionate obedience of God’s commandments.

People have been deceived into thinking that the Pharisees were zealous for the letter of law; when in fact they were zealous for their own traditions above the Word of God!

Today the Ekklesia focus on their own false traditions of men, as so important that they exalt them over the scriptures and make the law of God of no effect by their false traditions; exactly like the Pharisees did!

23:16 Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor! 23:17 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold? 23:18 And, Whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever sweareth by the gift that is upon it, he is guilty.  23:19 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift? 23:20 Whoso therefore shall swear by the altar, sweareth by it, and by all things thereon.

Today’s major professing Christians exalt themselves as corporate idols and exalt obedience to themselves above obedience to God. They place mammon and numbers above sincere repentance, faith and a zeal to obey God.

To a lesser or greater degree in the different groups we commit the exact same sin as Jesus rebuked the Pharisees for:

Matthew 15:4   For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.

15:5 But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother [or wife or children who God has blessed us with and given us responsibility to care for], It is a gift [ offering for the church], by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me;

15:6 And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.

15:7  Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,

15:8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.

15:9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Jesus says that God and God’s Word are everything.

Matthew 23:21 And whoso shall swear by the temple, sweareth by it, and by him that dwelleth therein. 23:22 And he that shall swear by heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by him that sitteth thereon.

In preaching the important thing is NOT the numbers of responses, but the quality of the message!  The important thing is not the building [the organization] but serving and obeying the Eternal God on his throne, sitting in absolute authority over all our deeds and very thoughts! The God who will most certainly judge us by our works; whether of faithful uncompromising obedience; or of rebellious compromising with HIS Word!

23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

Demanding every last cent that can be demanded or extorted; while ignoring and not teaching sincere repentance from evil doing, and faith, mercy and sound judgment based on the basics of God’s word and commandments, is an unbalanced priority.

We are to be merciful to the poor in their needs; we are to be merciful to the sincerely repentant instead of condemning them for being over righteous.

We are to preach a message of warning and repentance and teach a zeal for God and his Word; that the mercy of God who gave his only begotten Son for us, might be applied to reconcile sinners to God the Father.

23:24 Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.

This is a figure of speech that simply means that we strain at the little unimportant things like money and numbers; and neglect the really important things like zeal for our God.

23:25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. 23:26 Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also. 23:27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness. 23:28 Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.

Likewise today’s Ekklesia try to put up a good appearance outside, and are full of sin inside ourselves and our organizations!

We need to clean up our own spiritual lives and get right with God. We need to rekindle our passionate zeal for God and his commandments; we need to get rid of those false traditions not consistent with scripture!

We need to stop rejecting those scriptures that we do not like because they destroy our false traditions, and we need to start setting a godly example instead of acting so shamefully!

We need to stop exalting men and organizations above God; equating loyalty to men as being equal to loyalty to God. We need to repent and turn to our God with passionate enthusiastic zeal; and then we need to begin to preach the Gospel of warning and sincere repentance that Christ has commanded us to preach.

23:29 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous, 23:30 And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.

Today we claim to honour the prophets and ancient men of God while persecuting those who are filled with a similar zeal. Showing ourselves that we are no better than they which persecuted the saints of old.

23:31 Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets. 23:32 Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.

And persecute the zealous as they did.

Jesus says of the Pharisees in those days; and he says the same things to us today:

23:33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

Jesus prophesies that the religious establishment of that day and today will reject the prophets and spiritually wise and persecutes them; rejecting godliness to follow their own idols of men and false traditions.

This is a prophecy about the future from that time forward; it has been fulfilled over the generations, and is now being fulfilled today.

23:34 Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city: 23:35 That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.

Those who reject the scriptures and persecute the zealous for the Word of God in the Ekklesia today are no different than the Pharisees who are likened to vipers who hide along the path waiting to strike the unwary.

When a person goes to today’s corporate Ekklesia with questions; very many of the leaders and elders reason with them that they should not be zealous for the Word of God, but should follow their traditions as the ancient Pharisees did!

Then if the zealous will not be dissuaded from their zeal for God; they make a note to persecute such zeal by calling the zealous Pharisaical, when it is they themselves who are Pharisaical!  Filled with zeal for their own groups, their idols of men and their false traditions, while rejecting any scripture that contradicts their false ways!

Since Cain slew Abel it has ever been thus; that the faithless and compromising; have always persecuted the faithful and zealous. Those who exalt the Lord their God; will face resistance from outside and from inside these latter day church organizations, just as they did from the Pharisees.

Such persecuted people should REJOICE for they are being tempered and tested to become pillars in the Temple of The Great God for all eternity.  If they stand on the foundation of the Word of Almighty God without turning, no matter what the stress; they will be made fit by God to stand on that sure foundation, helping to hold up the entire family of God for all eternity!

23:36 Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.

These persecutions did come upon the saints by the religious establishment of that day, and have continued to this day.

Now in this generation; which is the last generation before the resurrection to spirit of the chosen and the coming of Christ to establish the Kingdom of God over all the earth; the majority of the called out have fallen away and will not endure sound doctrine; rejecting the scriptures and rejecting all those who love and keep the whole Word of God.

2 Timothy 4:3   For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4:4  And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Matthew 23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem [as the actual city and also as the capitol representing all physical and spiritual Israel], thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

23:38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.

This is about the city, Jerusalem and figuratively about the faithless who persecute the faithful today and throughout history. Christ would have saved them, if only they would accept his deliverance and turn to him, away from sin and compromise with God the Father’s law.

Both Jerusalem and the faithless people, will be made desolate in the tribulation; it is then that many will repent and turn to the ONLY ONE that can truly save!

23:39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

When Messiah the Christ does come; Jerusalem, and those who persecuted the saints will be in a humbled and repentant attitude, and will no longer reject the scriptures and the prophets and teachers of godly righteousness; they will no longer persecute those who are zealous to learn and to live by every Word of God!  Instead they shall call such godly persons blessed!

They shall be sincerely repentant and will no longer reject the scriptures and reject zeal to keep them; instead they shall shout for joy at his appearance; crying out “Blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord”!

Matthew 24

Jesus and his disciples were very familiar with the temple and all its buildings; yet these buildings were so magnificent that as they strolled along on this occasion the conversation turned to how magnificent the temple and its buildings were.

Taking advantage of his disciples awe of the temple Jesus used this “teachable moment” opportunity to begin a discourse on prophecy.

Matthew 24:1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.

Jesus warned them that as Nebuchadnezzar had destroyed Solomon’s temple; so the Romans would destroy the temple built by Zerubbabel and beautified by Herod.  The Romans totally destroyed all of the buildings of the Temple.

Before starting to build the temple, Solomon had built a retaining wall around the Mount and filled it in, to make a large flat area at the top of the Mount upon which to build the temple buildings.   The wailing wall revered by many today is not a part of any temple building; it is a part of the retaining wall.

24:2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

NOTE:  The present day Wailing Wall was never a part of the temple; it is a retaining wall built outside of the actual temple compound.

These prophecies were for the faithful disciples of Christ only.  Only the zealous to keep God’s Word can understand these things.

Those who reject the scriptures for their own false traditions are not wise; and only the wise who are zealous to learn and to keep the whole Word of God; accepting and following all scripture; are the wise and will understand.   Those who reject the scriptures for their idols of men; are the wicked and will not understand.

Daniel 12:10  Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

Matthew 24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

The words recorded by Daniel were still sealed at that time, and these disciples knew nothing about any great tribulation. They were NOT asking about any great tribulation. They thought that the Kingdom would come in their lifetimes.

The question here was a most pertinent one for them; they wanted to know when the Kingdom would be established and when they would receive their kingdoms with Christ.  The very first thing that Jesus said to HIS disciples then and for today; is that MANY false leaders, elders and teachers will come into the Ekklesia and would lead many astray!

Brethren, Jesus is not warning the world or the Jews; He is warning HIS OWN FOLLOWERS of the Called Out Ekklesia; about what is coming upon them!  Coming through history and most especially at the end of the age!

Jude warns us that at the end time there will be elders in the Ekklesia that will use the mercy [grace] of Christ as a license to tolerate sin.  These warnings are about and to the Ekklesia, not about the unconverted.

Paul warns us through his letter to Timothy of the same end time departure from any zeal for sound doctrine and a wholesale falling away of today’s Ekklesia into fables and the false traditions of men.

2 Timothy 4:3  For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4:4  And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Paul warns us again in:

2 Timothy 2:3  Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first,

Peter also warns us:

2 Peter 2:1  But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily [secretly shall subtly insert false teachings] shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord [denying the authority of God’s Word for their own traditions] that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction [the now imminent tribulation].

God’s Word makes it very clear that the latter day  Ekklesia would be full of false teachers who reject scripture and entice or try to bully the brethren to follow themselves and their false ways away from the Word of God; and that this condition will climax in the last days when the scriptures are unsealed (Dan 12)

Jesus told us how to discern between true men of God and false teachers in Mat 7.  We can discern a man by his fruits:  is he zealously faithful to live by every word of God, Mat 4:4; or does he depart from the scriptures to lead people to follow himself as an idol?

Because of their rejection of scripture to suite their own preconceptions and traditions, they have no understanding!  They think they are rich and full of knowledge and understanding; not realizing how spiritually ignorant and wretched they really are (Rev 3:15)

The vast majority of today’s Ekklesia are scripture rejecters and NOT true faithful followers of the whole Word of God.

As time passes; be very careful.  Control is the issue, not necessarily the leadership position.  Up front leaders are very often manipulated from behind the scenes.

Apostate leaders and elders will say that we need to keep the commandments; and then they condemn those who are zealous to keep the commandments!  Rejecting much scripture for heir own false ways, they use the bestial abomination false “Primacy of Peter ” teaching to exalt themselves above the Word of God.

Like the Pharisees, when they say “commandments” they mean their own false traditions; the commandments of men and not the commandments of Almighty God!

Matthew 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

Today’s Ekklesia is deceiving many into spiritual adultery and idolatry; to follow idols of men contrary to the Word of God; to reject scriptures and to follow every false way; while CLAIMING to be of God and CLAIMING to follow Christ.

The first Matthew 24 prophecy from Christ is that the buildings of the Temple will be broken down.  The second prophecy of Christ is that the majority of the Ekklesia will fall away.  This is further revealed in Revelation 3,:13-22 and warned of throughout the New Testament.

Today the vast majority of the Ekklesia HAS fallen away and is falling further and further, faster and faster away from any zeal tor the scriptures and keeping God’s Word and towards rejecting God’s holy scripture to follow idols of false teachers.

What Paul wrote to Timothy is fulfilled today.  Today in the Ekklesia the vast majority of the people reject the scriptures to follow the false traditions of apostate men.

2 Timothy 4:3  For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

While there have always been wars and rumors of wars, it was not until the miracle of modern communications that news and rumors have spread so quickly and so widely.  It is also understood that these wars and rumors of wars were to escalate and to climax just before the tribulation.

Today this has come to pass; and is about to climax in a deadly regional war involving Israel against Hamas, Hezbollah and Syria after the allied coalition severely degrades the Islamic Extremists.  Iran will very probably be involved and Russia could react in Ukraine or Georgia or both.

I say “severely degrades” because the Israel war could begin, either after the defeat of the Islamists or as they are going down.  Even now the Islamic State is preparing to attack inside Israel and could do so at any time.

After these wars reset the regional conditions towards a genuine dialogue for peace; a genuine peace deal will be concluded.  This coming war is NOT the tribulation, but sets the conditions for a peace deal, that will then trigger the tribulation when the Jewish Extremists sabotage the deal.

The tribulation will begin in a time of peace!

Daniel 8:23 (Tenakh) And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.

8:24 And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.

8:25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by [in a time of] peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.

1 Thessalonians 5:3  For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

As Daniel was told in Dan 12; the wise shall understand, but the wicked who reject scripture and zeal for keeping God’s Word, will NOT understand.

5:4 But ye, brethren [Who are zealous to learn and to keep the whole Word of God], are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. 5:5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. 5:6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

As Daniel recorded in Daniel 12:  The wise [Those who cleave to the scriptures] WILL understand and this will not overtake them by surprise.  The wicked [Those who reject any scripture] will NOT understand and WILL be taken by surprise.

There have also been famines and earthquakes through the ages, but famines, earthquakes [including volcanic eruptions] and weather disturbances will continue to increase until Christ comes.

Matthew 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

The climaxing of these things is only a warning before the unspeakable sorrows of the tribulation.

24:8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

The Great Falling Away and the infighting in the Ekklesia, and persecution of the zealous for God brethren is again prophesied.

The called out were persecuted through the ages, but in the Ekklesia this persecution of the zealous by their brethren, [because of the overwhelming number of false leaders, false prophets and false teachers and the present great apostasy]  will reach a climax just before the tribulation.

This is still just before the tribulation begins.

24:9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.

This has been happening through the ages and is now happening in now escalating, as many fall away and persecute the godly among them.

Today the church of God is full of false prophets, false teachers, false leaders and false elders; who actively reject scripture and persecute the faithful.  This is the condition of the Ekklesia today, as prophesied by Jesus Christ just prior to the beginning of the tribulation

24:10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

Today’s false leaders teach men to follow themselves as idols and to reject any zeal to keep the scriptures.  When they say keep the commandments they really mean to obey them and not the scriptures. They make the scriptures of no practical effect by their false traditions and commandments of men.

The love of the brethren for God and God’s Word has gone cold as they have departed from a zeal for the scriptures; and fallen away into a zeal for idols of men; they have become spiritual adulterers against the Husband of their baptismal commitment.

The Ekklesia has become idolaters against the God of our baptismal commitment!  This great sin has caused the love of the brethren for keeping the whole Word of God to go cold.

Only those that overcome this spiritual adultery and idolatry to remain passionately faithful to God and zealous to keep the whole Word of God without rejecting any scripture will be saved.

24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Now we are coming up to the tribulation.

Because of the overspreading of our abominations in the Ekklesia, and the pressures and temptations of this world; the love of many for the commandments and things of God has grown cold.

Today the Ekklesia is a mixture of a certain coldness for God and his commandments; coupled with a certain heat and zeal for our false traditions and our own physical organizations and leaders.

There is a zeal for men and organizations and their “work”; and no zeal for God and his ways. They equate loyalty to their leaders and groups as loyalty to God; they equate their traditions as equal to or greater than God’s commandments.

We call such a mixture of cold and hot: lukewarm!

Only those who do NOT grow cold for the things of God; only those who continue in enthusiastic zeal for God and his commandments, with an enduring HOT love for God and his ways to the very end; shall be saved in the resurrection of first fruits.

Jesus now jumps ahead in his narrative to speak of his actual coming.

The true Gospel being preached, is NOT the sign of the beginning of any great tribulation; it is the sign of the actual coming of Christ to rule this earth..

24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

The Gospel being preached, is NOT the sign of the beginning of any great tribulation; indeed the true Gospel is not, and has not been preached for decades.

The preaching of the true Gospel will be continued by God’s two prophets and by God’s mighty angels; until the very coming of Christ with his saints!

This will take place DURING the tribulation as well as before it, and is NOT a sign of the beginning of the trib.

The sign of the beginning of the tribulation is the setting up of the final miracle working man of sin in the Vatican and his visit to the holy place 75 days later.

24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

This abomination is set up as pope in Rome and then goes to the Holy Place [the whole Mount is Holy] 75 days later, triggering the tribulation.

When the abomination [the final false prophet] is set up in Rome, he has only a total of 1,335 days before he is destroyed (Dan 12; Rev 19:20).

1,335 minus 1,260 for the tribulation, begins the tribulation 75 days after the final abomination is set up in the papacy in Rome.

When you see the abomination set up in Rome, and recognize him by his miracles and his call for a New Europe; then know that the tribulation is imminent and will begin when he goes to the Mount.

When we see that some leave the land to run to safety and some do not, it should be self evident that a split between the zealous for godliness, and the lukewarm [Cold for God, hot for men]  of Revelation 3:14-22; is inevitable.

It should also be self evident from the obvious apostasy in the Ekklesia today; that the prophesied falling away of many from any zeal for God, has and is taking place.

The spiritually wise will know that the tribulation will begin in about 75 days, when they see this abomination set up in Rome.  God will send his Two Servants who will take the zealous to God’s refuge as one of their first acts.

The scripture rejecting wicked in the Ekklesia will not understand until the tribulation begins with the defeat of Israel/Judah and the occupation of Judea/Jerusalem.

Then many of them will see their error and sincerely repent, only to be forced to prove the sincerity of their repentance by persevering in great tribulation.  The great tribulation will begin when the miracle working false prophet visits the holy place 75 days after being set up as pope in the Vatican.

24:16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: 24:17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: 24:18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. 24:19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! 24:20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

It is when this final false prophet is set up in Rome and then goes to the Holy Place about 75 days later; that the great tribulation will begin: Immediately, at that time, so quickly that one should not even go home to fetch his coat! This we have on the direct authority of Jesus Christ.

This statement is repeated in a slightly different context by the apostle Paul.

1 Thessalonians 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden [unexpected] destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

1 Thessalonians 5:3 For 1063 when 3752 they shall say 3004 5725, Peace 1515 and 2532 safety 803; then 5119 sudden160 [unexpected, surprise] destruction 3639 cometh upon 2186 5731 them 846, as 5618 travail 5604 upon 1722a woman with child 1064 2192 5723; and 2532 they shall 1628 0 not 3364 escape 1628 5632.

5:4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. 5:5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. 5:6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

If we add Christ’s words to Paul’s we can see that the proclamation that peace has been achieved; and the abomination going to the Holy Place; both happen at the same time.

Matthew 24 like nearly all prophecy is dual.

Jesus was referring to the conditions surrounding the destruction of Jerusalem, the Temple and Judea by the Romans in the first century; as a fore-type of the final events coming up to the latter days great tribulation, which will try the whole earth.

In the first century Jesus warned those who were in Judea to flee immediately for their lives, and the faithful did flee from Judea to Pella; while in this end of the age immediately before the tribulation we need to flee from around the whole earth to God’s prepared refuge.  Rev 12 explains the two flights of the woman [the faithfully obedient in the Ekklesia]

Matthew 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened [this violence will be stopped, because unless this violence is stopped it will end all life n the earth].

This simply means that if God did not intervene then all life would be destroyed.

When the new Europe attacks Asia early in the third year, the Asian nations will counter attack destroying much of Europe; and then vast Asian armies will sweep through the Middle East to Jerusalem. They will gather there against the false prophet and the political leader making a last stand at Jerusalem, and this final battle would result in the destruction of all life if Christ did not return and intervene at that moment.

This is far more than a battle over one city.  When Europe nukes many Asian countries killing many millions, and Asia counterattacks against Europe devastating the major cities of the new Europe with nuclear retaliation; Asia is also likely to attack Europe’s allies in Latin America etc.

In other words with Europe attacking [nuking] most of Asia, and the Asians counterattacking Europe and her allies including Latin America; this will be a world wide conflagration which will be existential for humanity.   All the world’s nations will know this and will therefore be glad and receive the Kingdom of God as a great deliverance; AFTER these armies are destroyed, and Satan the arch deceiver is removed and the earth is saved from complete destruction.

24:23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

This is a warning to the disciples as an expansion of verse 4.  The proof of a godly man is not miracles; it is his zeal to learn and to keep the whole Word of God!

24:25 Behold, I have told you before. 24:26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. 24:27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

There will be NO secret about his coming!  When the chosen are resurrected to spirit and after the wedding feast in heaven, Christ will come WITH his saints, everyone will know it!

24:28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

This is an illustrative statement; meaning that the intelligent false teachers, sent by Satan; will congregate about the saints and being full of guile and sly deceit; will seek to gain personal advantage and feed upon and make merchandise of God’s Ekklesia.

Somewhat like the American gangster who said; “I rob banks because that’s where the money is”. Many false teachers will gather around the flock to feed themselves on the Father’s sheep. Using them, taking advantage of them, and leading them astray like wolves hiding in sheep’s clothing.

Jesus and the apostles warn repeatedly of the latter day church of God groups falling away from any zeal to keep God’s Word, because they are being led astray by false ungodly leaders.  The ONLY protection the sheep have; is to prove all things by the Word of God, and cleave to that Good Shepherd with all their strength.

24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

This refers to the sixth seal as the Trumpet plagues are about to fall on the earth causing suffering and mourning around the world.

Revelation: The Seven Seals Explained

Revelation: The Seven Trumpets Explained

24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

This happens when the seventh trump of Revelation BEGINS to sound.

Revelation 10:7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

Now the final answer to the question being asked: When are you setting up the Kingdom?

Parables of the Kingdom

Matthew 24:32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: 24:33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

The term “This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled” has been taken out of context and attacked. I have put it into its paragraphical context above. The statement says that when these signs, the tribulation and the resurrection to spirit takes place; the Kingdom of God will be set up [immediately after the wedding feast in heaven The Marriage of The Lamb, at The Resurrection of The Chosen] without delay.

24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. The prophecy of Mat 24 is sure. 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. 24:37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Nothing can change these signs or warnings; this WILL happen at the appointed time! No one except God the Father knew the timing of these things at the time that Christ was speaking. However as we approach that appointed time; and the abomination is set up, the Father reveals the timing; by unsealing and giving understanding of Daniel and the prophets to the wise [faithful].

The wicked, compromising and faithless shall NOT understand; they shall reject the warnings and they shall fall into great tribulation; taken by surprise in the snare of their great pride.

Yet, this is no longer about the tribulation, it is about the actual resurrection to spirit!

Daniel 12:10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

Matthew 24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 24:39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Even in the tribulation very many of the called out will be in denial, thinking that this is not the real tribulation at all; or they shall cleave to the false teaching and lies of today’s apostate Ekklesia that Christ will understand how hard it is and will wink at their unrepentant sins.

While many will sincerely repent and prove their repentance by suffering and dying foir their new found zeal.

Many others will believe the lies that they are currently being taught and will continue to disobey God’s Word for the sake of avoiding persecution, thinking that Christ will still accept them.  Such people will have failed to overcome and will NOT be among the chosen at the first main resurrection to spirit.  Jesus Christ now strongly indicates here and elsewhere in the parable of the Ten Virgins, that only about half of the called out will ultimately overcome and be among the chosen.

24:40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 24:41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

Those wicked rebels against any zeal to learn and to keep the Word of God; who reject scriptures to follow their idols of men and every false way:  Will NOT understand like the wise who are zealous to learn and to keep the whole Word of God (Dan 12).

24:42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

This is not a reference to half the world being saved in the resurrection; or even to half of the Ekklesia being in the resurrection to spirit. This is a simple illustration that the resurrection will take the vast majority of people by complete surprise even though God’s two servants will have been warning them:  They will simply not believe and will be taken by complete surprise.

As in the days of Noah, those doing their own thing, focusing on worldly matters and not living by every Word of God will be caught totally unawares.

It is very important that we are always ready; for who is certain that he will be alive tomorrow.  Those who think that “I will repent later” are foolish for they may die tonight,

Luke 12:16   And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:

12:17 And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?

12:18 And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.

12:19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.

12:20  But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?

12:21  So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

Matthew 24:43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

We must always be zealous to keep God’s Word, so that we are always ready to meet our LORD.

24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

Every person should always be diligently watchful and properly prepared; armed with the full armour of God; and diligently seeking God and fully passionately faithful to all of God’s commandments, putting our trust in the ONLY God who can save us.

24:45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? 24:46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. 24:47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.

If, when death overtakes us, or Christ when he comes finds us diligent servants; DOING as he has commanded without compromise in Christ-like zeal for God the Father and his commandments; he will make us stewards over all his Kingdom.

24:48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; 24:49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; 24:50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, 24:51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Those who compromise and refuse to preach the outreach message of Warning and Repentance, of the WAY INTO the Kingdom; who teach tolerance for sin; who compromise with the commandments of God and reject the scriptures; who are focused on this world and personal advantage instead of on how to please God; those who idolize men and organizations: Will NOT be in the resurrection to spirit; and will NOT be among the chosen:

They will be caught by surprise; and will not be ready nor found DOING the things of God; instead being caught in their evil deeds!

Brethren, we do NOT have it made because we are baptized or associate with a particular corporate church group!  Those things mean nothing if we are not faithfully zealous to follow all of the holy scriptures.

Indeed Jesus makes it very clear that only about one half of the truly called out, if that many, will be chosen.

Matthew 25

Matthew 25:1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. 25:2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 25:3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: 25:4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 25:5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

This parable is about the called out to God throughout history.  Most of the called out have failed to respond over the millennia [Parable of the Sower], and half of those who did respond positively have always been too spiritually lazy to apply themselves diligently to learn and to keep the whole Word of God.  God has called many, but only a few will be worthy to be a part of the first resurrection of the chosen.

Oil is symbolic of God’s Spirit which is only given to those who obey God (Acts 5:32) and is given in direct proportion to our obedience and our commandment KEEPING.

When we reject many scriptures, and compromise with God’s law; we quench and drive out God’s Spirit, for the Spirit and very nature of God will not go against itself.

The virgins have all been slumbering, and the call has now gone out to WAKE UP and prepare to meet our Lord.

The wise were preparing and filling themselves with the oil of God’s Spirit through sincere  repentance and the zealous seeking of God and the DOING of his will.

The foolish do not believe the wake up call, and are not preparing themselves, being spiritually asleep and not zealous for living by EVERY Word of God (Mat 4:4);  to fill themselves with the Holy Oil of God’s Spirit.  This goes right back to Daniel 12 which was after all inspired by Jesus Christ.

25:6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. 25:7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. 25:8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. 25:9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

It is now almost midnight for the humanity, the time is close at hand.

Many of the called out have gone to spiritual sleep over the millennia, and half of the called out may not be among the chosen.

ALL scripture is profitable for all of the called out.

The following was written 1,900 years ago for all those who might have the spiritual slumbering lack of zeal of Laodicea; which is climaxing today.  This attitude has always existed in the spiritually lazy and is now reaching its climax among the called out today.

Jesus Christ councils the spiritual slumbering called out to:

Revelation 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am [spiritually] rich, and increased with goods [spiritual knowledge], and have need of nothing [in their great pride they know it all and reject the scriptures]; and knowest not that thou art [spiritually] wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked [of godliness]:

3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold [the true riches of the righteousness and commandments of God] tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment [of the righteousness of the commandments of God], that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness [wickedness] do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve [God’s spirit of spiritual insight], that thou mayest see.

3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

While the five foolish virgins were trying to find godliness and gain the oil of the Holy Spirit the bridegroom came and they were excluded from the marriage.

Matthew 25:10  and  while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. 25:11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. 25:12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

25:13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

Be watchful always, for we know not the day of our own death; and the coming of Christ for his saints will catch all those not watching for or expecting his coming by surprise as well.

Let us heed the admonition of Paul and be the children of the light of the Word of God; not rejecting scripture to remain in the darkness of spiritual ignorance.

1 Thessalonians 5:5   But ye, brethren [who are passionate to learn and to keep the whole Word of God] , are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. 5:6  Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

Matthew 25:14 For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. 25:15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.

25:16 Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents. 25:17 And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two. 25:18 But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord’s money.

25:19 After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.

25:20 And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. 25:21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

25:22 He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them. 25:23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

25:24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed: 25:25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.

25:26 His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: 25:27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.

25:28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.

25:29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. 25:30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Brethren, we have been deceived and distracted into doing a business model work to bring in new folks our own way; instead of preaching a Gospel of Warning and Repentance, so that God could use that message to call men to himself.  We have destroyed the quality of our message to reap a harvest of tares into our organizations; who understand little and are willing to DO less. We are calling men TO US, instead of being a means for God to call men to HIMSELF!

This has resulted in a watered down, sin tolerating, leader exalting; system of idolatry and physical focus; which had quenched the oil of God’s Spirit in us, so that our light barely flickers.

We are to grow through the use of the measure of the Holy Spirit and the talents [gifts of the spirit]  that God has given us.

We are to diligently consider the law of God day and night and to always be focused on God and his ways. We are to FOLLOW God’s spirit as it leads us into further understanding, and we are to diligently seek more spiritual understanding through study and the active DOING of the Word of God.  We are NOT to get into a “I know it all spiritually and have need of nothing” attitude that is Laodicea, Rev 3. THAT IS BURYING OUR TALENT!.

25:31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: 25:32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: 25:33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

When Christ comes he shall judge between he who is a faithful and productive servant; and he who is complacent and self satisfied; who relies on his own understanding and has no zeal to obey his God.

Christ will require an accounting from every person as to what they did with the measure of Goo’s Spirit which was given to us.

A blessing on the faithful and zealous for God and his Word, and on all those who were merciful to God’s zealous.

25:34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world [God’s plan was complete before the world was formed]: 25:35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 25:36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

25:37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 25:38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 25:39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

25:40 And the King [the Messiah the Christ] shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

This is speaking in metaphors and is talking about BOTH physical service and spiritual service to Christ and the flock of Christ. You elders,  Do you feed the flock with the spiritual meat of sound doctrine in due season? Do you teach the way to peace, harmony and unity with God? Do we teach the way INTO God’s Kingdom and eternal life?

Or do you keep the sheep OUT of the Kingdom by teaching them to commit idolatry and put men first? Or teach men to tolerate sin? Or to allow and actually teach to compromise with God’s commandments? Or do you keep men OUT of God’s Kingdom by teaching rejection of the scriptures, complacency, lukewarmness for God’s commandments and self satisfaction.”  Do you teach repentance and rebuke sin, or do you tolerate sin to play politics, to be popular and look like a nice guy?

If you rebuke sin, you may offend, yet you may also save a life if the sinner repents! Which is more important to God?

Then Jesus who many falsely claim will tolerate sin; will reject these wicked men; including today’s church of God leaders, elders and brethren who persecute those who are zealous to keep the whole Word of God; casting them into damnation unless they sincerely repent.

25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: 25:42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: 25:43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

25:44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? 25:45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

Those who do not please God by faithfully living by every Word of God; who do not put God first in all things and keep all of his commandments; who are not diligent to learn and DO the WHOLE WORD of God: Are demonstrating by their actions, that they love worldliness more than they love godliness, and will be judged on their works.

This is talking about zeal for God and the spiritual food of the Word of God, the Bread of Life and the Living Waters of salvation; not just about giving physical sustenance [although that too is important]

25:46 And these [the unrepentant wicked who reject any scripture and who are not zealous to learn and to keep the whole Word of God] shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Mathew 26

Jesus warns that at the Passover he will be betrayed and crucified. He also sets the date as being AFTER two days; that is Passover would be the third day.

Matthew 26:1 And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these sayings, he said unto his disciples, 26:2 Ye know that after two days is the feast of the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified.

Now the chief priests of the church of God as it was established in those days, conspired against Christ. Notice they cared nothing for God’s Festivals and were only concerned about what the people might think and do.

26:3 Then assembled together the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people, unto the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas, 26:4 And consulted that they might take Jesus by subtilty, and kill him.

Notice very carefully that this is PROOF that the Passover was the day BEFORE the High Day; for they were afraid to take him on the High Day; yet they did take Christ on the Passover Day!

Yet the brethren knew that this was the Passover day as did the Jews; proving that during the Temple period the Passover was kept from the beginning of the 14th day until the sunset ending the 14th and the beginning the Holy Day of the 15th.

26:5 But they said, Not on the feast day [The first Holy Day of The Feast of Unleavened Bread], lest there be an uproar among the people.

Remember that Jesus had told them that he would be crucified on Passover; and this woman understanding that wept over him and anointed him; while the disciples who had been with Jesus from the beginning of his ministry still did not understand.

This is an example for us today that it is not the proud who are given understanding, but the humble who love and serve their Master.

26:6 Now when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper [Greek leper. Possible alternate translation: Aramaic potter], 26:7 There came unto him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at meat.

Judas was the one who stirred up this indignation that he might find personal gain. How like Judas are many of the church of God today who want the people to give everything to themselves and are jealous of those who are zealous to who give themselves to Jesus Christ.

They want us to give them the precious sacrifice of our service, in obedience to them, and for us to obey them instead of obeying the teachings and commandments of Christ.

26:8 But when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste? 26:9 For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor.

Jesus said: Do not rebuke those who are zealous for God

26:10 When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me. 26:11 For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always. 26:12 For in that she hath poured this ointment on my body, she did it for my burial. 26:13 Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her.

Judas was really offended at this rebuke and not understanding spiritual things, but seeking only physical gain by his association with Christ; in anger went out to arrange his betrayal.

26:14 Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests, 26:15 And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver.

Zechariah 11:12 And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver. 11:13 And the Lord said unto me, Cast it unto the potter: a goodly price that I was prised at of them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of the Lord.

Matthew 26:16 And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him.

Below we have a difficult translation; for the proper wording should be rendered “before the beginning of the Feast of Unleavened Bread”; and not rendered the “first day of the Feast”.

The word “on” was chosen by translators not familiar with the Passover / Feast of Unleavened Bread because of the modern Rabbinic error.

We KNOW this because we just saw that the rulers were afraid to take Christ on the First High Day! And therefore took him on the Passover preparation day!  We also know that Jesus ate the Passover after sunset ending the thirteenth day and before midnight on the 14th day of the month, the Passover day.

This means that Jesus told the disciple to go and prepare at least sometime on the 13th day.

26:17 Now the [when the] first day of the feast of unleavened bread [and the Passover were approaching] the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover? 26:18 And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at thy house with my disciples.

The Passover Day

The two disciples or the host, would have taken a lamb to be killed according to the law, at the Temple; again showing that in those days the Temple practice was to kill the Passover at the Temple on the 14th day and not on the first day of ULB.

On the 13 day of the first month, the evening Daily Sacrifice was started with the “Hour of Prayer” about 3 PM and completed soon after sunset, at which time the Passover sacrifices began.

The lambs would be killed just after sunset and because of the great multitudes, the killing would continue through the night and into the daylight.

In Egypt each family killed its own lamb; and when Israel left Egypt certain changes from the commandment specific to leaving Egypt were made, because they were no longer in Egypt.

For example they could not leave their homes in Egypt for the entire night; because of the danger of the destroyer.  This danger was no longer present on subsequent Passover’s  and Christ himself went out to the garden after eating the Passover.

The Passover can now lawfully be eaten at any time on Passover day [the 14th day]; however it is appropriate that we follow our Lord’s example and eat it after sunset ends the 13th day and begins the 14th day of the first biblical month..

Christ and his disciples ate the Passover at the time that it was eaten in Egypt, and then Christ himself was killed as our Passover, later during the daylight portion of the 14th; but STILL ON THE 14TH.

26:19 And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the passover. 26:20 Now when the even [probably near midnight as the lamb had to be prepared whole and was killed only after sunset] was come, he sat down with the twelve.

During the Passover meal of eating the lamb; Christ speaks of his betrayer.

26:21 And as they did eat, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me. 26:22 And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began every one of them to say unto him, Lord, is it I? 26:23 And he answered and said, He that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me.

26:24 The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born.

Judas asked quietly to see if he was known, and Jesus replied in the affirmative, but so that most of the others did not hear or understand.

26:25 Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, Master, is it I? He said unto him, Thou hast said.

As the meal was ending, the commanded Unleavened Bread and Wine were explained, blessed and distributed by Christ.

Here is a helpful article on the Passover events. Remember that these Gospels are eye witness accounts, which only covered what each writer saw personally and thought significant enough to record; while Luke is an investigative account that is written after an exhaustive inquiry into what most of the guests saw. Therefore Luke is by far the most complete description.  The correct order of the Passover is explained here.

Today church leaders and elders reject the scriptures of Luke to maintain their false order of Passover.  I sent a copy of this paper to two senior UCG men well before Passover in 2014 and asked for their input.

They both read the Paper however neither one could rebut it.

Harmonizing the Gospels Concerning The Last Passover of Christ

26:26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. 26:27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Jesus said that he would not again drink wine with them until after he had been killed and resurrected into eternal life by God the Father.

The other words of Christ spoken at this Passover are recorded mainly by John.

26:29 But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom. 26:30 And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.

The disciples are warned that they [not yet being given God’s Spirit]; shall fear and deny Christ at his death.

26:31 Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.

Jesus also prophesies that he will appear in Galilee, after his resurrection.

26:32 But after I am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee.

Peter in his enthusiastic zeal and not understanding what is coming, proclaims his passionate love and loyalty for Jesus [Hebrew: Yeshua; meaning Salvation].

26:33 Peter answered and said unto him, Though all men shall be offended because of thee, yet will I never be offended. 26:34 Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this night, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. 26:35 Peter said unto him, Though I should die with thee, yet will I not deny thee. Likewise also said all the disciples.

Jesus goes to pray and takes three of his disciples, who will soon be tried particularly by Satan, to pray with him. Peter so full of the zeal of words, and so soon be tempted profoundly by Satan; and James and John the sons of thunder, who will be so tested when their Master dies and does not establish the Kingdom at that time.

26:36 Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder. 26:37 And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy. 26:38 Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch [wait] with me.

26:39 And he went a little farther [from them], and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

Jesus tells Peter to pray about his coming trial

26:40 And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour? 26:41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Jesus in his own hour of trial prays that God the Father’s will be done.  What a shameful disgrace that today’s Ekklesia compromise and reject scripture for our own pleasures; while Jesus Christ fulfilled the Father’s will to a terrible death.

26:42 He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.

Remember they had been up all day and night and had just eaten and drunk wine; this was now very early morning.

26:43 And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy. 26:44 And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.

Jesus chides the sleepers and warns them that the hour has arrived for his arrest.  Brethren, most today are also asleep and comfortable in their slumbers.

26:45 Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. 26:46 Rise, let us be going: behold, he is at hand that doth betray me.

The betrayal and arrest

26:47 And while he yet spake, lo, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and elders of the people.

26:48 Now he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he: hold him fast. 26:49 And forthwith he came to Jesus, and said, Hail, master; and kissed him.

26:50 And Jesus said unto him [Judas], Friend, wherefore art thou come? Then came they, and laid hands on Jesus and took him.

A disciple tries to resist and fight for Christ.

26:51 And, behold, one of them which were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest’s, and smote off his ear. 26:52 Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.

The disciples of Christ are not to take up arms in his defense in religious wars; for the Kingdom of God is not yet; until Christ comes with his heavenly armies. Then will the resurrected fight in the host [army] of Almighty God.

26:53 Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels? 26:54 But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be? 26:55 In that same hour said Jesus to the multitudes, Are ye come out as against a thief with swords and staves for to take me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye laid no hold on me.

26:56 But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled.

Christ is arrested and taken to the High Priest.

26:57 And they that had laid hold on Jesus led him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were assembled. 26:58 But Peter followed him afar off unto the high priest’s palace, and went in, and sat with the servants, to see the end.

The accusation that Jesus [Hebrew: Yeshua] claimed to be the Christ the son of God was true. The term “false witnesses” can mean false accusers; and in this case means that they are witnessing that the words [witness] of Christ were false. They are mocking and attacking Yeshua’s claim to be the Messiah the Son of God.

26:59 Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council, sought false witness against Jesus, to put him to death; 26:60 But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none [reasonably credible]. At the last came two false witnesses, 26:61 And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.

26:62 And the high priest arose, and said unto him, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee? 26:63 But Jesus held his peace, And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.

Yeshua [Jesus] then admits to the charge that he claims to be the Messiah, the Christ! He then adds to his claim, by saying that he shall come [return] in the clouds as the Son of God the Father; the Messiah, the Christ.

26:64 Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

Jesus was then convicted of blasphemy for his claim that he was God, the Son of God.

26:65 Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy. 26:66 What think ye? They answered and said, He is guilty of death.

26:67 Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others smote him with the palms of their hands, 26:68 Saying, Prophesy unto us, thou Christ, Who is he that smote thee?

The temptation of Peter

26:69 Now Peter sat without in the palace: and a damsel came unto him, saying, Thou also wast with Jesus of Galilee. 26:70 But he denied before them all, saying, I know not what thou sayest.

Out of fear of men, Peter falsely swears that he does not know Christ.

26:71 And when he was gone out into the porch, another maid saw him, and said unto them that were there, This fellow was also with Jesus of Nazareth. 26:72 And again he denied with an oath, I do not know the man.

26:73 And after a while came unto him they that stood by, and said to Peter, Surely thou also art one of them; for thy speech bewrayeth thee. 26:74 Then began he to curse and to swear, saying, I know not the man. And immediately the cock crew.

Peter must have been absolutely crushed to remember the words of Jesus and his own protestations of loyalty. This trial made Peter a man totally dedicated to never again denying Christ.

We are taught and tempered by our experiences as well as our studies. Like Peter many of us have denied Christ: often by compromising with the teachings and commandments of Christ, and so denying his authority over his people.

Right now and throughout history God’s people have learned through their experiences as well as from study, and as long as we live: God is not finished with us yet.

26:75 And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept [repented] bitterly.

Brethren, we can also repent after falling, as Peter did; and then go forward in passionate zeal as Peter [and later Paul] did!

Matthew 27

The chief priests and elders sent Jesus bound to the Roman governor.

Notice that it was the established Church of God of that day that rejected Christ, just like it is the established church of God that rejects any zeal to keep Christ’s Word  today.

How can I say that? Because they draw near to him with their lips while in their actions they are very far from God, and they DO NOT live by every Word of God!

Matthew 15:6 . . . . Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.

15:7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, 15:8  This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me 15:9  But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Matthew 27:1 When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death: 27:2 And when they had bound him, they led him away, and delivered him to Pontius Pilate the governor.

Judas repents. Judas had probably thought that Jesus would be thrown into prison and had not understood the intent of the chief of the ordained ministry to kill him. Judas also understood that in his greed and his anger he had betrayed an innocent. The priests/ministry then said in so many words; ”We don’t care”.

27:3 Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, 27:4 Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that. 27:5 And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.

The priests then bought a field in which to bury the dead; showing that they were the ministers of death; as are all those who do not teach uncompromising enthusiastic obedience to the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ and God the Father.

27:6 And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said, It is not lawful for to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood. 27:7 And they took counsel, and bought with them the potter’s field, to bury strangers in. 27:8 Wherefore that field was called, The field of blood, unto this day [the day this was  written].

Matthew then quotes Jeremiah and  Zech 11:12-23;

27:9 Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying, And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was valued, whom they of the children of Israel did value; 27:10 And gave them for the potter’s field, as the Lord appointed me.

Jesus before the Roman governor

27:11 And Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest.

27:12 And when he was accused of the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing. 27:13 Then said Pilate unto him, Hearest thou not how many things they witness against thee? 27:14 And he answered him to never a word; insomuch that the governor marvelled greatly.

The guilty prisoner Barabbas was released and Jesus the Christ was killed. An allegory that Christ died to release the guilty from the penalty for breaking  the commandments.  How easily we overlook such profound details.

27:15 Now at that feast [On Passover, a prisoner was released in recognition of Israel’s deliverance from Egypt] the governor was wont to release unto the people a prisoner, whom they would. 27:16 And they had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas.

27:17 Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ? 27:18 For he knew that for envy they had delivered him.

God gave a dream to the wife of Pilate revealing the innocence of Christ and she warned her husband.

27:19 When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.

Again it was the leaders of the Church of God establishment of that day who rebelled against Christ for their envy of Christ. Like the church leaders of today: They want a following for themselves, and when people begin to question their authority, by being attentive to the teachings and commandments of the Word of God, these men are filled with envy in their hearts.

They falsely teach that to be loyal to Christ you must be loyal to their corporate organization. They LIE and claim that their corporate church is the true church of God when there is NO SUCH THING as a corporate true church; for the true church of God consists of all those who live by every Word of God regardless of where they are.

27:20 But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus. 27:21 The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas.

27:22 Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified.

27:23 And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified.

Pilate then allowed the mob to have its way to prevent a riot, but declared Christ to be innocent.

27:24 When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.

Then the Jewish mob said; let the blood of Christ be upon us and our children. In saying that they were admitting that they and all men have sinned, and need to repent and to be covered by the sacrificial blood of Christ

27:25 Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children. 27:26 Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.

The Roman soldiers then carried out the order of death, by first taking him to the barracks and mocking him.

27:27 Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers. 27:28 And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe. 27:29 And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed [for a scepter] in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews! 27:30 And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head.

Then they took him away to crucify him.

27:31 And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him.

Weakened by the beatings, Jesus needed help to carry the heavy beam on which he was to be hung.

27:32 And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his cross.

27:33 And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say, a place of a skull, 27:34 They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall [bitter herbs, myrrh]: and when he had tasted thereof, he would not drink.

A crucifixion is a deliberately painful and lingering torturous death designed for the worst kind of criminals. As such God the Father allowed this kind of death, since Christ was taking upon himself the penalty for ALL the sins of the world.

It is argued as to whether it was a stake or a cross upon which Christ was nailed; the cross has always been the symbol of the sun god Tammuz, which is only symbolic of Satan; and since this appeared to be Satan’s victory; it would make sense that it was indeed a cross.

That does not make a cross a symbol of the Ekklesia; it is a symbol of Satan!

The biblical symbol of the Ekklesia is a woman, a virgin bride!

Nevertheless Jesus Christ conquered Satan and all sin; and was raised up to sit at God the Father’s right hand; thereby defeating Satan conclusively.

27:35 And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.

They then sat down to watch Jesus die.

27:36 And sitting down they watched him there; 27:37 And set up over his head his accusation written, THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

The crowds, stirred by the ministry [the priests] mocked the dying man.

27:38 Then were there two thieves crucified with him, one on the right hand, and another on the left.

27:39 And they that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads, 27:40 And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross.

27:41 Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said, 27:42 He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him. 27:43 He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God.

27:44 The thieves also, which were crucified with him, cast the same in his teeth.

This darkness was due to heavy clouds covering the site and has nothing to do with any eclipse; no eclipse could ever have lasted for more than a few minutes. This darkness was a kind of veil between Christ and God the Father – similar to the veil in the temple – hiding the face of the Father from the sins of the world, piled upon the shoulders of our Deliverer; in much the same way as sin separates people from God,

Isaiah 59:1 Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: 59:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

Matthew 27:45 Now from the sixth hour [there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.

The Great Darkness

The darkness was symbolic of the great masses of sin separating Jesus from the Father and is why our Master cried out in his agony of being separated from the Father.

Of all the things that Christ suffered; being separated from his Father was by far the worst.

If only all of the compromisers and idolaters in the Church today, were so dedicated to the Father that: No TEMPTATION, NO SIN AT ALL, would be worth the agony of offending, and of being separated from: Our Father in heaven!!!

The churches and the people who say they are full of love for Christ, and then compromise with the teachings and commandments of the Father and Christ: ARE IGNORANT; KNOWING NOTHING of the love of God!

The truly converted are devastated when they discover some sin in their lives! They immediately repent and take action to remove that sin, and effect an IMMEDIATE reconciliation with God!

27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? [here Messiah himself names God the Father in Aramaic and NOT in Hebrew; so much for the sacred names to be spoken in Hebrew only; false teaching] that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? 27:47 Some of them that stood there [thinking Messiah was speaking in Hebrew and being confused by the Aramaic], when they heard that, said, This man calleth for Elias.

27:48 And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink. 27:49 The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him.

The Deliverer of Humanity Dies

27:50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

And immediately the temple veil, symbolizing the separation of sin between the Father and the people, was ripped in two; as the true spiritual sacrifice for all sin was made on that Passover day; the very sacrifice that all those lambs were merely symbolic of.

There was a great earthquake and many dead physically raised up to life demonstrating that; Christ will raise the dead in him on that day, and will resurrect all people at their proper time.

27:51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; 27:52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, 27:53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

At these resurrections the Roman’s recognized that Christ was indeed the Son of God; as all humanity will recognize him when the resurrection to the Wedding Feast takes place; and Christ returns WITH his saints to destroy the wicked, and to pour out his spirit on all repentant flesh (Joel 2:28).

27:54 Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

The faithful then seek the body for burial and it was quickly given so that the burial could take place BEFORE the High Day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread; BEFORE the beginning of the 15th day of the first month!

27:55 And many women were there beholding afar off, which followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him: 27:56 Among which was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedees children. 27:57 When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus’ disciple: 27:58 He went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered.

27:59 And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, 27:60 And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed. 27:61 And there was Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary, sitting over against the sepulchre.

The Passover [the 14th day of the first month] is also the preparation day, for the first High Day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the 15th day of the first month.

27:62 Now the next day [the first High Day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread], that followed the day of the preparation, [the Passover when Christ was killed was the preparation day for the next day High Day of the Feast] the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate [and asked him for a Roman guard, for they would not guard the tomb themselves seeing it was a High Day], 27:63 Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again.

27:64 Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first.

Pilate them gives them a guard to watch the tomb. This made the fact of the three days in the tomb sure and a demonstrated fact from Roman observation; when Christ was resurrected.

27:65 Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can. 27:66 So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch.

Matthew 28

We know that the disciples returned on the Sunday after the weekly Sabbath and not after the the High Day because they came just before dawn on the first day of the week, Sunday. This also demonstrates quite clearly that the Sabbath was Saturday, and that no work was done on that day; while Sunday was a regular work day for the disciples of Christ.  Let me b e clear:  Jesus was resurrected as the sun set on Saturday night, right after the Sabbath had ended.

Matthew 28:1 In [after] the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.

The angel of God removed the stone for the ladies early Sunday morning, so that they could see that Jesus was no longer inside the tomb.

28:2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. 28:3 His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: 28:4 And for fear of him the keepers [Roman guard] did shake, and became [fainted] as dead men.

The angel announces that Christ was no longer there and had ALREADY risen from the dead [the resurrection having taken place right at sunset ending the Sabbath and beginning Sunday].

These things are studied in depth in the “Biblical Spring Festivals” book.

28:5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. 28:6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. 28:7 And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

28:8 And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word. 28:9 And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and [fell at his feet, John 20:17] held him by the feet, and worshipped him.

John 20:15 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away. 20:16  Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.

20:17  Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

Mark 28:10 Then said Jesus unto them [the woman, Peter and John], Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.

The ministry then bribed the guards to give a false report

Matthew 28:11 Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch [guard] came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done. 28:12 And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers, 28:13 Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept. 28:14 And if this come to the governor’s ears, we will persuade him, and secure you. 28:15 So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.

The disciples then met at an appointed place only a short walking distance of a few hours away from Jerusalem. Probably Bethany

John records that the Holy Spirit was given to the disciples on that same afternoon

John 20:18 Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things unto her. 20:19  Then the same day at evening, [After Jesus had ascended to the Father and returned to the earth as the Wave Offering,  on the Wave Offering Sunday; still] being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.  20:20  And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.

If the Ekklesia actually kept this commanded appointed time of the Wave Offering, by at least meeting and teaching these things; the understanding of the brethren concerning Jesus Christ and God’s  plan would be increased.

This is another point where the Ekklesia reject scripture and insist on their false traditions;  in this case, the false claim that the Holy Spirit was given to no one before Pentecost.

Matthew 28:16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. 28:17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted [a reference to Thomas] .

28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Jesus had commanded all men to obey God the Father in all things; in both letter, and spirit and intent. Christ expanded and made the commandments far more binding than they ever were in the Mosaic Covenant, and he provided the way to reconciliation with the Father, and taught the gospel of Salvation; the WAY INTO the Kingdom of God!

The true Gospel is: Teaching the way to salvation, through belief in God’s promises, repentance, and a baptismal commitment to go and SIN NO MORE!

Then the gift of God’s Spirit is given to all the sincerely repentant, who will sin NO MORE!

God’s spirit will be given to those dedicated in faithful love, loyalty and obedience to DOING the whole will of God!

28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you [Jesus commanded us to live by every Word of God the Father in both its letter and its spirit and intent]: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen
