30 NOV:   The head of the Russian army’s general staff and the chairman of the U.S. joint chiefs of staff on Monday discussed by phone questions relating to the fight against Islamic State in Syria, Interfax news agency reported, citing the Russian Defence Ministry.  The ministry added that the call between Generals Valery Gerasimov and Joseph Dunford took place at the initiative of the United States.

US President Barack Obama will meet Tuesday with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the White House announced on Monday. 

The EU will give Turkey 3.2 billion dollars   to help with refugees inside Turkey.  Turkey had facilitated a refugee flight to Europe partly because its own finances and capacities were overwhelmed. 

Iraq has called on residents of south Ramadi to leave the area, the final liberation of Ramadi is finally coming soon.


29 NOV:  John McCain, Lindsey Graham call for surge of 10,000 American troops to Iraq to spearhead destruction of Islamic Extremism, as Democrats call for a declaration of open war.  Obama has expertly employed the Hegelian Dialectic, continually refusing troops until he is forced to by others.  He can now avoid any responsibility for what comes. 

Russian volunteers are now in Syria and preparations are being made for a major ground offensive especially if a broad anti IS deal can be reached in Paris this week. Such a Russian move would be an excuse for an American surge to Iraq in response.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu announced during a meeting of Likud ministers that no land will be handed over to the Palestinian Authority.  “No land will be transferred to the PA, not 40 thousand meters, not 10 thousand and not a single meter,” he said. In saying this he reveals his true Settler Movement anti peace position and teh simple fact that he will never make peace.  The coming peace deal 1 Thes 5:3 will need a change of government in Israel.


28 NOV:   In light of upcoming British parliamentary vote, Senior Democrat calls for official declaration of war on Islamic State by Dec 19th

Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan seeks meet with Russian president Putin on side lines of Paris Climate Summit.  Putin is already scheduled to meet with Obama, Merkel and Holland on a plan for a grand coalition against Islamic Extremism in Syria Iraq.

European ministers have unanimously backed France’s request to trigger the bloc’s mutual defense clause. Invoking EU Treaty article 42.7 [instead of calling on NATO], a never before used clause of the EU treaty triggering mutual defense among the 28 member states.  By sidestepping NATO, it will be easier for Russia to cooperate in the planned grand coalition.

Erdogan is under enormous pressure to reconcile with Russia to facilitate formation of the grand coalition.

Barack Obama, Xi Jinping, Angela Merkel and David Cameron among others are preparing to fly to the French capital to open the COP 21 negotiations, which begin on Monday 


27 NOV:   Russia on Thursday said its forces had wiped out Syrian rebel groups operating in the area where one of its jets was brought downAs soon as our pilot was safe, Russian bombers and artillery of the Syrian government forces carried out massive strikes in the indicated area for an extended period,” 


26 NOV:   Fifty US Special Forces personnel arrive in Syrian Kurdistan for deployment with Kurdish units fighting the Islamic State.  They will advise and command as well as call in air support.

IAF completes extensive drill, with official revealing it can launch barrage of 3,000 ‘very smart’ 1-ton missiles in  four days.

Late yesterday Turkey backed down releasing a statement in which the Turkish air force said its air traffic control for the area where a Russian Su-24 was downed on Tuesday did not identify the warplane and thus ordered a pair of Turkish F-16s to shoot it down. Ankara also sent Russia a long apology and expression of condolences by phone from Turkey’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu to his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov but Turkey refuses to provide an official written apology. In comments to reporters after speaking with Cavusoglu, Lavrov said, “We do not plan to go to war with Turkey, our attitude toward the Turkish people has not changed.”

Syrian Turkmen rebels, from the faction which killed Russia’s pilot yesterday, reported taking heavy artillery shelling along including fire from Russian warships, while Russia launched heavy airstrikes on them. 

Canadian F 18s bomb IS positions in Ramadi area.

Final run offs in Egyptian elections on Dec 1-2.  President al-Sisi has already won an overwhelming endorsement and a parliamentary majority of support.  The run offs are to decide a few individual close contests.

French President Francois Hollande will meet Russian president Putin in Moscow today.  Cooperation against the Islamic State and Islamic Extremism for the French and the ending of sanctions on Russia over Ukraine are to be discussed.  Such a deal if found practical will be presented to the US and EU / NATO.  The recent Turkish downing of a Russian plane is being used to give urgency to an anti extremist war deal before something uncontrollable happens. 

President Obama on Wednesday signed a $607 billion annual defense policy bill, This includes financing for a big push in Iraq expected early next year.

Germany will send 650 soldiers to join the 1,500 French military in Mali.


25 NOV:   Russia freezes construction of nuclear power plant and gas pipeling in Turkey, accuses Turkey of supporting the Islamic State because of illegal oil Imports from  the IS.  Turkey seems to be a major export route for Islamic State oil out of Syria / Iraq. In addition Russia deploys Moskva air defense cruiser with orders to defend its planes and suspends all military contacts with Turkey. Russia also called on its citizens to avoid Turkey; over three million Russians visited Turkey in the past year.  Russia’s Defense Minister announced that the country will deploy S-400 missile systems at a Syrian airbase, 

During the visit of president Putin to Tehran it was decided to go ahead with the export of teh S-300 air defense system to Iran.

While NATO gave lip-service to Turkey the organization is split.  Czech President Milos Zeman, denounced the Turkish action and reminded the world of Turkey’s dubious past with Islamic State.  Others called Turkey “trigger happy.”  Required to support Turkey because of NATO most European countries are fully supportive of Russian actions against the Islamic Extremists, while the US seems dedicated to creating an east west confrontation. Meanwhile Turkey is backing down and claiming it does not want any trouble with Russia.

Turkmen announcements of their execution of two Russian pilots may have been subterfuge to discourage searches.  One pilot now appears to have been rescued by Russian special forces. 

America continues its false propaganda spin on the incident.  Notice in this BBC report [the BBC Foreign Service is financed by the US State Department] that they put up a map box claiming the approximate area [including Turkey] the jet was shot down, when they know exactly where it was shot down inside Syria. Western media are filled with numerous such subtle attempts to confuse and deceive.


24 NOV:   BREAKING NEWS 17:30 EDT- EGYPT: Two DHL parcels containing explosives were seized at Cairo International Airport before being placed on flights to the US.

Breaking 12:30  EST:   The deputy commander of the Syrian Turkmen brigades, a Syrian rebel group, said his fighters captured and executed the pilots of the Russian Su-24 warplane that was shot down by Turkish F-16 jets on Tuesday morning. He said the fighters were from the Alwiya al-Ashar, or the 10th Brigade, of the Syrian Turkmen army.

Israel builds up on northern border in case of spillover during the Syrian anti Islamic offensive. 

Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said Moscow would cut gas supplies to Ukraine on Tuesday or Wednesday because Kiev had not paid up front for more gas and might also halt coal supplies to Ukraine in retaliation for a Ukrainian power blackout of Crimea.

Russian plane was apparently shot down fire inside Syria, both pilots are dead.  Putin angrily rejects Turkish claims saying it was part of a group of warplanes in Syrian airspace that was struck by an air-to-air missile inside Syria one kilometer from the Turkish border. Putin spoke while receiving Jordan’s King  Abdullah at his Black Sea residence.

Today the United States issued a worldwide terrorist alert effective until the end of February.  It is expected to take at least that long to destroy the Islamic Extremists in Syria Iraq and as the pressure mounts they are likely to respond with attacks anywhere they can.

Russian tanks armored against anti-tank missiles and volunteer ground forces began to enter northern Syria via the recently liberated military airfield in Aleppo, Lebanese newspaper “As-Safir” affiliated with Hezbollah reported . The newspaper estimated that the airport will be the third in which Russian Air Force aircraft will be deployed.

Turkey claims to have shot down a Russian warplane saying it entered its air space today.  Turkish media broadcast video footage of the plane crashing into mountains in the Syrian Turkmen rebel area near the border with Hatay province. 

Syrian forces liberate Mahin and Hawwarin from the Islamic State and are advancing towards Homs and Palmyra.

Yesterday there were five attacks on Israelis killing one. Early today a car ramming happened at Tapuach Junction injuring four. 

Israel to close Mosques where incitement is judged to be contained in sermons.  France and the US are considering similar laws.   This will give governments the power to shut down any religions meetings if authorities decide to do so.


23 NOV:  Due to the fact that some opposition members were out of town the Knesset on Monday night approved, in the second and third readings, the amendments to the Orthodox draft  law.  49 Knesset members supported the proposal and 36 opposed.  Interestingly two members of the coalition abstained from supporting the government. 

Israel bombs Hamas site in Gaza.

BREAKING 06:00 EST: Iraqi airspace has been closed to all flights for the next 48 hours to facilitate a massive blitz of Russian heavy bombers accompanied by Iranian warplanes hitting the Islamic Sate. The Russian bombers, accompanied by Iranian warplanes, are entering Iraqi airspace from southern Iran, and flying west over Anbar Province until they reach the Iraq-Saudi Arabia border and entering Syria.  That route strongly implies that the Russian heavy bombers are striking IS sites in Iraqi Anbar province as well.  The Russian heavy bombers are the biggest in the world, larger and more modern than the American B 52.

16 arrested in 19 security raids in Belgium.  Syria is advancing against Islamists in all regions of the country as Al Qaeda and the Islamic State reel under a continuing heavy Russian aerial bombardment.  The securing of Syria from the non IS Islamic Extremists may be only weeks away and the launching of the ground war against the Islamic State may be coming soon. Most of the Al Qaeda Al Nusrah Front and Islamic State bases have now been destroyed US and other foreign special forces beginning to arrive in Iraq Syria for the coming ground operation to finish off the Islamists in Iraq and Syria. 

One rocket was fired into the Eschol region very early this morning. The amended IDF draft bill will be brought before the Knesset for its second and third readings today (Monday).  The bill postpones the Haredi draft law until 2023.  The Orthodox have promised to bring down teh government of the bill is not passed. The government has only a one vote majority and MK Yoav Kish (Likud) has promised vote against the bill or abstain, announcing last week that he would not support the bill.


22 NOV:   President Putin to visit Tehran tomorrow with senior military team to plan next anti Islamic Extremist steps. 

Belgian troops have entered the Radisson Blu Hotel in Brussels, and are conducting raids across the city.

Brussels continues lockdown which began yesterday after a raid on an apartment revealed plans for an imminent chemical attack on the subway system.

21 NOV:  Brussels went to its highest level Saturday, shutting public transit and warning the public to avoid crowds because of a “serious and imminent” threat of an attack. 

Syrian army in offensive to liberate Homs province.

The U.S. House of Representatives, defying a veto threat by President Barack Obama, overwhelmingly passed Republican-backed legislation on Thursday to suspend Obama’s program to admit 10,000 Syrian refugees in the next year.

The EU to tackle Bitcoin and other anonymous financial systems to curb terrorist funding.

The U.N. Security Council unanimously approved a French-sponsored resolution Friday night. The resolution declares that the Islamic State group “constitutes a global and unprecedented threat to international peace and security” and expresses the council’s determination “to combat by all means this unprecedented threat.”

Britain is poised to join air strikes against Isil in Syria after senior Labour MPs publicly defied Jeremy Corbyn and pledged cross-party support for international action after teh Security Council decision.

Friday night, Israeli troops raided the Hevron Palestinian Al-Halil radio station, seized its equipment and posted a six-month closure order signed by the IDF OC Central Command.  This is the second Palestinian radio station to be shut down in Hevron for playing pro resistance songs.


20 NOV:   Islamic State suffering huge losses to Russian bombing, large numbers of fighters now fleeing.  Intensive bombing  could go on for weeks before an expected Syrian anti Islamic State offensive and the collapse of Islamic Extremism Syria.  Then it will be up to Iraq to finish the job.  Meanwhile steady progress is being made by Syrian forces against the Al Qaeda Al Nusrah Front.

The Russian military has increased its deployment of aircraft to Syria and has launched cruise missiles against Islamic State positions in Syria from both the Mediterranean and Caspian seas, one of which killed over 600 terrorists in the Deir Ex-Zor Province, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu has said.

“On November 20, the warships of the Caspian Fleet launched 18 cruise missiles at seven targets in the provinces of Raqqa, Idlib and Aleppo. All targets were hit successfully,” he reported to President Vladimir Putin.

Besides aircraft there are 10 warships taking part in the operation, six of which are in the Mediterranean.

New Russian stealth cruise missile used for the first time accurate to within 30 feet at 6,000 miles.

The United States is expanding the coalition rules of engagement against the Islamic State ISIS. 

In a fourth day of round the clock heavy Russian bombing the Islamic State and Al Qaeda Al Nusrah Front are suffering heavy losses and beginning to feel real pain.

Now that the suburbs have been liberated and mopped up the final phase of the Ramadi liberation is about to commence.

France requests Security Council to authorize all necessary means to destroy the Islamic State The move is intended to demonstrate broad international support for the anti terrorist campaign. 

Five killed and at least seven injured in attacks in Tel Aviv and the West Bank yesterday.  Israel responds by withdrawing Israeli work permits from Hebron residents.


19 NOV:   Saudi Arabia’s UN ambassador says his government will host a conference in mid-December to try to unite the moderate Syrian opposition ahead of new peace talks.  Saudi Ambassador Abdallah Al-Moualimi said Thursday that his country will be trying to bring different strands of the opposition “together for a united voice.” UN special envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura told reporters after a closed-door Security Council meeting that a national cease-fire in Syria [with the moderates] is now more likely.” 

A new Islamic State video released Thursday warns of an impending attack on New York City.  The video mentions Times Square and purports to show an explosive device being put together and a bomber zipping his jacket over a suicide belt.  The New York City Police Department said it was aware of the video and was deploying additional members of its new anti-terrorism squad out of an abundance of caution. 

The Islamic State does its best to keep its threats and It would easy to imagine the carnage one or several suicide bombers could cause in the packed Times Square Christmas shopping frenzy.  It would also be easy to predict the reaction of the Obama Administration to such an attack.  Such an attack may be what is needed politically to take off the gloves in the anti IS war and send whatever is needed to finish the job.

Today’s Russian air strikes destroyed the headquarters, three depots with oil, lubricants and ammunition; a plant for the production of explosive devices; a command center, a workshop for the production and repairs of mortar launchers, three major oil facilities and an oil pumping station, General Kartapolov

Turkey and the US agree to back the Free Syrian Army in creating an Islamist Extremist  free zone on the Syrian side of the border with Turkey. 

Russia destroying Islamic State oil exporing trucks.  Five hundred tanker trucks destroyed already this week.

The Israeli budget passes 61-59 after lawmakers vote on 1,500 different pages of objections and reservations. 

The Ultra Orthodox parties threaten to resign and bring down the government within ten days if the Haredi draft is not postponed until 2023.


18 NOV:   French President Francois Hollande said Wednesday that Russia, the US and France will form a military coalition to fight ISIS, adding that he will personally discuss the coordination of operations during his talks with US President Obama on November 24 and with Russian President Putin two days later at the Paris climate summit.

As Deadline Looms, Knesset Set to Begin Voting on State Budget – If the budget is not passed by Thursday night, Netanyahu’s government will be forced to resign. (Haaretz+) 

During a raid on an apartment block in Paris police stumbled upon a terrorist cell.  After one woman exploded a suicide vest, stun grenades were exploded by police and three people arrested; two others were also arrested just outside the apartment. 

Israel bombs two Hamas sites in Gaza after the false alarm of an incoming rocket.  False alarm causes Iron Dome to fire interceptor missile – Code Red siren sounded at Sha’ar HaNegev Regional Council due to gunfire inside the Gaza Strip, but no rocket was fired; interceptor explodes in midair. Heavy bombing of the Al Qaeda Al Nusrah Front and the Islamic State continues in Syria.


17 NOV:    France invokes article 42.7 in the EU Treaty, which requires all states to offer aid and assistance “as they are able”.

After Russia confirmed that their airliner was brought down by a bomb over Sinai they are now pounding the Islamists in Syria.

Russia is testing out all of its weaponry in Syria, today firing 34 air launched cruise missiles at Raqqa.    All holding back has ended as France, the US coalition and Russia Syria are moving to destroy Islamic Extremism.

Russia has deployed its fleet of long range strategic bombers [similar to the American B 52’s] to run bombing attacks directly from Russia doubling the volume of airstrikes on Islamist targets in Syria, Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu has announced. Vladimir Putin has ordered a cruiser to coordinate operations with French naval forces in the Mediterranean.

“We are conducting a mass airstrike campaign against Islamic State targets in Syria. We have now doubled the number of sorties, which is allowing us to conduct operations throughout the length and breadth of the country,” Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said during a Security Council meeting in Moscow chaired by the Russian president.

Shoigu said that Russia’s Tu-95, Tu-22 and Tu-160 strategic bombers have been brought into the operation, while the Air Force command added that the strike group has been bolstered with 37 new planes, including Su-34 bombers and Su-27 fighter jets.

“The work of Russia’s air force has enabled Syrian government forces to go on the offensive along the entire front in the regions of Aleppo, Latakia, Idlib, Homs and Damascus, freeing significant territories from terrorist control”  The Syrian army with the assistance of the Russian aviation managed to liberate 80 towns and regain control of  more than 500 square kilometers; in the province of Aleppo alone, 40 settlements have recently been liberated.

Yesterday the US Navy announced the deployment of the USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier and its strike group to the Middle East. The Truman left Monday to  join the French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle in the Persian Gulf area and will assist in the war against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria. 

Israel uses Paris attacks to outlaw Islamic movement raid its offices. 

Israel approves construction of another 1,500 Jewish housing units in East Jerusalem.

The US sells the Saudi’s 13,000 smart bombs subject to congressional approval expected within 30 days.

After weekend fighting Ukraine threatens to escalate conflict with autonomy seekers. 


16 NOV:   Israel had warned the Jewish community in France Friday morning of the impending attacks.   It is also being reported that France received multiple warnings from various countries before the attacks.  They knew the attacks were coming but the warnings were not specific enough to be helpful in terms of prevention.

The British government announced Sunday that it is sending a special force to Paris to assist elite French units. It has also deployed members of its Special Reconnaissance Regiment in the centers of major cities, train stations and other public sites in Britain.  

The Defense Ministry in Paris announced that 10 French warplanes had dropped 20 bombs on the ISIS Syrian command and control center, ammo depot and training center in Raqqa Sunday night. 


15 NOV:  The Pentagon claims that a US drone has killed the Islamic State’s commander in Libya, Abu Nabil al-Anbari, near the eastern Libyan town of Darna,  Anbari, whose personal name was Wisam al-Zubaidi, was one of the closest and most trusted ades of ISIS leader Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi.

The G-20 summit of the world’s biggest economies will begin in Turkey on Sunday, with terrorism expected to dominate the agenda in the aftermath of the attacks in Paris. The summit is also expected to address the massive migration of refugees to Europe, the civil war in Syria and economic matters. A main topic at the meeting is expected to be joint action against the Islamic State, Al Qaeda and Islamic Extremism. 

The adoption of a plan to resolve the situation in Syria and crafting of a list of Islamic Extremist organizations Saturday opens the way for joint action against Islamic Extremists by the G 20.  [There is no guarantee that after the Islamists are destroyed the Syria negotiations will not break down.] 

Meanwhile Israel is using the Paris attacks for a propaganda blitz against terrorism in preparation for future actions against Gaza.

The timing of the Paris attacks is highly suspicious and certainly not helpful to the Islamists.  Its intended purpose seems to have been to unify opposition against the Islamists.  Events are obviously being manipulated by secret powers [perhaps spiritual powers] in high places.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said the attacks by gunmen and suicide bombers across Paris could change priorities in Washington and other NATO capitals. “The world is changing, and this shock, the shake-up that took place in Paris will probably … change a little bit the scale of priorities of our colleagues in Washington in other NATO capitals,” he said when asked whether the attack would bring the US and Russia closer together.  He was speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a G20 summit in Turkey.

The annual summit of heads of state and central bank governors is taking place this year in the resort city of Antalya, The heads of state attending the event include US President Barack Obama, Russian President Vladimir Putin, British Prime Minister David Cameron, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan. French President Francois Hollande pulled out after declaring a nationwide state of emergency.


14 NOV:   Vienna talks on Syria have produced an agreement.  Syrian government and western backed rebels will begin negotiations in December on a new constitution, government and new elections within 18 months.

Merkel coalition  in Germany shaken by refugee crisis

Hollande said in a speech to the nation that ISIS carried out “an act of war that was prepared, organized, planned from abroad, with internal help” and vowed that France would retaliate without mercy.  In its statement, ISIS claimed France would continue to be one of its main targets and that Friday’s attacks were only the beginning

Iraqi forces have liberated Ramadi and are now mopping up residual Islamic State elements.

The Vatican and many nations condemning Paris attacksWill Paris call for NATO to join anti Islamic State war?

This weekend’s Vienna talks on Syria are expected to center largely on deciding which Syrian factions are “rebels” to be invited to future rounds of talks, and which are “terrorists” to be excluded. All the nations involved are said to be pushing different lists for the decision.

Russian Deputy FM Mikhail Bogdanov, however, says that the US and Russian lists are in large measure the same, suggesting the disagreements aren’t nearly as broad as anticipated. Bogdanov added that several factions within the Free Syrian Army (FSA) are being urged to join the process by Russia.


13 NOV:  

UPDATE 19:20 EST:  At least 100 dead in Bataclan theatre forty more dead at other sites.

UPDATE 18:40 EST:   French media report that the incident at the Bataclan theater is over and hundreds of hostages have been rescued. This followed five explosions and automatic gunfire heard from the hall where gunmen were executing hostages.

BREAKING 18:00 EST:  France Under Attack:  

The attacks are an apparent response to the drone killing of the Islamic State executioner yesterday and air attacks by the French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle on the IS in Syria.  The attacks are highly likely to galvanize the whole world against the Islamic State. 

French police are preparing to place areas of Paris under curfew Friday night as the city comes under multiple terrorist attack with at least 60 dead, hundreds injured and around 1,100 taken hostage. French President Francois Hollande said that in view of the unprecedented assault, he has ordered French borders closed, halted air and rail traffic and mobilized the army under a state of emergency. Three locations were initially targeted but there may be twice as many. 

A shootout at a Paris restaurant near the Charlie Hebdo magazine left 11 dead. Then two explosions possibly by suicide bombers hit a bar near the football stadium during a French-German match. President Francois Hollande was evacuated from the stadium and has called an emergency cabinet meeting at midnight. At the Bataclan Theater, two gunmen fired 20 shots during a rock concert killing at least 15 people and have taken  hostages from the audience which they are said to be killing one by one. A shooting is also reported at Les Halles shopping mall in the town center and incidents near the Louvre and the Pompidou Center.

 More details are awaited from the Paris police.

President Barack Obama is being updated on the situation in Paris after US intelligence judged the attacks to be coordinated although terror was not mentioned. UK Prime Minister David Cameron has offered the French government all possible help.

BREAKING 13:20 EST:  Father and son murdered near Hevron

The IDF begins massive reserve mobilizations in January.  Up to 70 battalions to be called up to clamp down on West Bank.  This fulfills the first phase of the  Hezbollah / Hamas / Iran plan; which is to tie down thousands of IDF soldiers on the West Bank.  Phase two is to tie down tens of thousands more Israeli’s in another Gaza operation.  Phase three is for an Hezbollah Israel war in the north when so many Israeli soldiers are tied down elsewhere.  All this to come after Islamic Extremism is defeated in Syria. 

Israeli conscripts get pay raise after huge protests.

The raises come after plans to mobilize tens of thousands of reservists were announced.

The Islamist Extremists are now losing ground on all fronts.

Russia is importing advanced weaponry into Syria including advanced air defense systems which are not needed for the anti extremist campaign.  This appears to be a clandestine upgrading of the Syrian army as these weapons will most likely be left behind when the Russians leave.

Iraqi Kurdish forces entered Sinjar city on Friday in a major operation to retake the town from ISIS. 

Dozens of Islamic State fighters killed in softening up air strikes in Ramadi while civilians flee the city.

The Syrian army and allied forces captured the town of Al Hader in the northern province of Aleppo on Thursday, opening the way for advances into rebel-held northern Syria with the backing of Russian air power. The Nusrah Front Al Qaeda fighters fled the town south of Aleppo city after pro-government forces took full control, it said, quoting a military source. Al Hader was the main bastion of rebels in the province’s south.

The Israeli Knesset infuriates the public by giving itself a raise while refusing salary increases for its impoverished conscripts.

Netanyahu to hold governing coalition crisis meeting

The Israeli coalition with a majority of only one is likely to fall by next summer bringing new elections in Israel. 

The new US backed moderate coalition in Syria the Democratic Forces of Syria is expected to join the Russian Syrian peace plan as soon as it is endorsed by the Saudi’s.  The Saudi’s are holding back until an agreement on Assad is finalized.  The fate of Assad is the point holding up international agreement on the Russian peace plan.


11 NOV:   After defeating the IS attempt to cut the highway to Aleppo the Syrian government soldiers Wednesday reliueved the Kweires air base in Aleppo province and freed two hundred officers and troops from a two-year siege by the Islamic State.  For two years food and needed supplies had been smuggled into the men by locals chaffing under Islamic State governance.  This represents an enormous victory for Syria as it will enable the deployment of attack helicopters to the base on the outskirts of Aleppo for liberation of that province.   

On Saturday the international conference on resolving the Syrian conflict is to resume. 


10 NOV:   The IDF, Shin Bet and  police arrested 24 Hamas members in Qalqilya over night. The cell served as a regional West bank Hamas headquarters and worked to renew the organization’s activities in the city and nearby villages. The cell received instructions and large-scale funding from  Hamas headquarters in Qatar and the Gaza Strip.  Israeli forces have been arresting dozens of suspected militants nightly for weeks.

09 NOV:   A captain in the Jordanian police opened fire in the cafeteria of the Special Operations Training Center outside the Jordanian capital, Amman, where American instructors are training Iraqi’s, Kurds and Syrian insurgents. Two trainers from the US and one from South Africa were initially reported killed and another six wounded, including two more Americans and four Jordanians.  A Jordanian government spokesman said later Monday that the number of fatalities had risen to eight, without specifying nationality. 

The US Central Command Forward-Jordan, overseeing the whole allied anti Islamic Extremist war is just  outside Amman. There are more than 10,000 coalition ground troops and special operations forces troops present in Jordan training tens of thousands of Iraqi’s Kurds and Syrian insurgents as well as controlling the entire war effort. 

Sergei Chemezov, CEO of Russia’s state-run defense conglomerate Rostec, said Monday that a deal has been signed for the sale of Russian S-300 antiaircraft missile batteries to Iran. 

A massive American air defense exercise Juniper Cobra 2016 is planned for Israel and the Middle East presently scheduled for May 2016.  Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, accompanied by his wife Sara, arrived in Washington on Monday for his summit at the White House with US President Barack Obama. In the two-hour summit the two leaders are to discuss a series of regional security issues including the expansion of US military aid to Israel. Netanyahu is also being accompanied by senior Israeli defense officials who will hold work meetings with their American counterparts. 

One rocket from Gaza hit an open field in the Eschol region yesterday.

Syria state news agency said 58 ISIS were killed in the fighting in and around the airbase, and also killed dozens of other ISIS fighters in areas of Deir Ezzor along the Iraqi border.

US airstrikes to increase

Five thousand Iraqi soldiers completed American up-training three weeks ago and are ready to join the fight.

The National League of Democracy has won the Myanmar elections.

Aung San Suu Kyi is the daughter of Myanmar’s independence hero, General Aung San.  Now 70 years old and barred from participating due to her British citizenship, she hopes to rule Myanmar through control of the president from behind the scenes as party head.

she went to Oxford University in the UK, where she studied philosophy, politics and economics, she is fluent in French, Japanese and English as well as Burmese. There she met her future husband, academic Michael Aris.

She is a British citizen with two sons and is the darling of the Anglo Judeo American Establishment. Her husband died of cancer in March 1999.  The military authorities offered to allow her to travel to the UK to see him when he was gravely ill, but she refused for fear she would not be allowed back into the country.


08 NOV:  British PM David Cameron  will deliver a speech on Tuesday warning that he will exit the EU if he does not get what he wants.  The speech will accompany a letter to the European Council president setting out the changes he wants for the UK. The letter to Donald Tusk will mark the start of the UK’s formal re-negotiation of its EU membership.  He has already said he wants an end to the commitment to ever-closer union, more power for national governments and restrictions on benefits for EU migrants. 

Heavy winter weather is now hampering operations in Iraq / Syria.  While the pressure will be kept up against the Islamic extremists as conditions permit, the main focus for the next few months will be on cobbling together an agreement between Syria and the American backed insurgents.


06 NOV:  Compelling evidence has emerged that the Russian airliner downed over Sinai was destroyed by an internal bomb explosion.  Autopsies show passengers died of a large shock wave and penetrating iron balls, while the fuselage was pierced with numerous holes of large shrapnel exiting the plane’s skin from the inside to the outside. In addition France 2 TV is reporting that “the sound of an explosion can be distinctly heard during the flight” according to “an investigator who had access to the black box” of the Metrojet plane that crashed in the Sinai.

The US military is now using close air support A 10 aircraft as well as C130 gunships to support Kurdish Syrian insurgents in their offensive down the Syria Iraqi b order.

In a 370-58 vote, the House overwhelmingly passed a revised 2016 military spending bill. The Senate is expected to vote and pass the same bill within the next week. Passage of the 2016 fiscal year budget which began Oct first has been stalled, and in turn has stalled the American plans for an offensive in Iraq Syria. 

Russian jets hit 263 targets of Islamic State and other militants in such provinces as Aleppo, Damascus, Deir ez-Zor, Idlib, Latakia, Raqqa, Hama and Homs, Igor Konashenkov, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman.

The coalition has been heavly bombing Sinjar Iraq for the past few days.

Iraqi army troops, backed by volunteer forces, have made significant gains in their antiDaesh military operations, liberating more than 80 percent of the western province of Anbar from the Takfiri Islamic State group. 

Heavy rains are again  interfering with the Ramadi battle.


05 NOV:   Syrian government forces have liberated and opened the highway to Aleppo recently closed by the Islamic State

Russia seeks agreement on which Syrian opposition groups will join negotiation and be given a ceasefire. 

Iraq’s army has called on residents of Anbar’s provincial capital, Ramadi, to evacuate the city as forces prepare for a major operation to retake the city from Islamic State (IS) militants.

04 NOV:   Chinese President Xi Jinping and Taiwanese President Ma Ying-jeou have arranged to meet in Singapore on Saturday for the first time their leaders have met since the Chinese civil war ended in 1949. The two leaders plan to discuss peace.

More than 40 dead in crash of Russian plane near South Sudanese capital Juba.  All twelve people on board are dead along with people on the ground.

The American backed moderate rebel factions in Syria are now providing Russia and Syria with targeting details for strikes against the Islamic State.

Heading to Washington for a high-profile visit next week, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is once again bringing a substantial wishlist of military gear. That was not wholly unexpected, as plans are to announce a $1 billion annual increase to the US aid budget to Israel. That may not be enough, however.

Former Israeli Ambassador Michael Oren said the visit was going to see Netanyahu laying out what is necessary to “deter Iran,” and that it is going to cost America $4.5 billion annually. The current aid gifted by the US to Israel is around $3.1 billion yearly. This hike in annual spending will be above and beyond the multi-billion dollar one-off military aid package the US is planning to give to Israel as “reparations” for the international nuclear deal with Iran. Israel will make its additional one shot demands known after teh budgeted annual grant is passed. 

Violence in Iraq continues ; 

About 100 militants were killed during an Iraqi operation liberating  the 7th Kilometer region near Ramadi.

Operations in Albu Hayat left 40 militants dead.

Operations that included the cleansing of Madaiq left 33 militants dead.

Twelve militants were killed in Husayba.


03 NOV:  

Russia has opened a new base in Tiyas, Syria near Palmyra – bringing the number of Russian bases in Syria to four. The first base in Latakia remains the main hub for Russian operations in Syria. The second, a forward staging base, opened in Hama. The third base opened just south of Homs in Shairat.

The Russians have moved five attack helicopters to the new base in Tiyas in the heart of teh Islamic State near Palmyra.

The Russian and U.S. air forces held a communications practice and jointly bombed Palmyra in Syria to practice cooperating on Tuesday.   Russia has invited representatives from Syria and the US backed opposition to talks in Moscow next week.  The talks are to reach a ceasefire ahead of negotiations on a political settlement.  Such a ceasefire will enable the US and Russia to jointly work to destroy all Islamic Extremism in Syria / Iraq.

02 NOV:   Israel bombs advanced missile convoy headed to Hezbollah Monday after a similar strike on Saturday. 

Netanyahu seeks to divide Jerusalem to keep it united. This article speaks of autonomous areas, but Bibi has been discussing building walls to isolate the Palestinian Jerusalem residents.  What he really wants is to ghettoize the Palestinian residents behind stone walls to maintain Israel rule. 

German coalition shaking over refugee issue.

Iraqi Security forces reported killing 146 militants during operations in Samarra as their anti Islamic State offensive continues. 

Iraqi and Kurdish forces are now massing at Sinjar in the Syrian border area, to join the developing Kurdish Syrian insurgent offensive on the other side of the border by attacking on the Iraqi side.  This offensive will split the Islamic State between its Syrian and Iraqi sections and separate the two IS capitals Mosul, Iraq  and  Raqqa, Syria.

The Islamic State is attacking along the Aleppo Damascus highway to defend against the Russian backed Syrian offensive to relieve the IS siege of Aleppo; thus leaving the Syria Iraqi border area only lightly defended.

Very heavy rains Thurs, to Sat.  caused a delay in the Iraqi Ramadi operation but were a tremendous blessing in disguise as the heavy rain caused hundreds of explosive devices and booby traps laid in Ramadi by Daesh to explode.  On Sunday Iraqi forces entered the city from multiple directions and reached the center of the town.


01 NOV:   Government of Israel to abolish parental guardianship of children and give the state authority over all children in all things including their religion.

Turkey’s president, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, wins decisive majority as his ruling Justice and Development party (AKP) swept back to single-party government with a convincing win in national elections. With more than 95% of the votes counted, the party won almost 50% of the vote. That would give it about 325 seats in the 550-seat parliament, comfortably ahead of its three main rival parties and easily enough to form a government on its own.

Prime minister and AKP leader, Ahmet Davutoğlu, hailed the result as “victory for democracy”. Addressing party supporters at a victory rally he said: “Hopefully we will serve you well for the next four years.”

The vote of the main opposition Republican People’s party (CHP) secured about the same as it did in June with about 25% of the vote and around 134 seats. Support for the nationalist MHP fell sharply with only 12% and about 40 seats compared to 80 in June’s election.

The Leftist pro-Kurdish HDP surpassed the 10% threshold necessary to win seats in the new Parliament. But its support dipped from the 13% it secured in June’s elections to just over 10%.

Air strikes by Turkish and U.S. aircraft in Syria on Saturday killed more than 50 Islamic State militants and wounded around 30,  The strikes were in support of the new Kurdish anti Islamic State offensive designed to split the Syria section off from the Iraqi portion of the IS. 

Syria’s new constitution will remove most of the president’s powers creating a weak and ineffective government like the one created by the US for Iraq.

The Islamic State claims downing of Russian tourist airliner as Egypt says possible technical problems brought down the aircraft. 

Syrian media report Israel bombs two Hezbollah sites in Syria along Lebanon border. 

The US, Russia and Iran have called for a nationwide ceasefire and invite Syria and the Western backed insurgents to Vienna talks in two weeks.  The conference goal is an agreement for an alliance against all Islamic groups and to begin talks on a new government and constitution for Syria is to be discussed.  The powers backing the sides have already agreed and the parties will have little choice except to comply

In a joint statement, last week’s conference participants said they have asked the United Nations to initiate talks between the Syrian government and the opposition to launch “a political process leading to credible, inclusive, non-sectarian [this leaves out all Islamic extremists] governance, followed by a new constitution and elections.”
