Explaining God

Genesis 1:26  “And God (Elohim, plural) said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:..” [From the very beginning, Creation is represented as a collaborative effort of two Beings, here speaking as one.]  Genesis 3:22 reflects the same plurality of Beings,  “And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:..”

In Revelation 22:12 Jesus Christ says that he is the first and the last

Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

Now turn to Isaiah 48:11-12 “For  my own sake, I do it, for how should  my name be profaned? ‘My glory I will  not give to another. Hearken to me, O  Jacob, and Israel, whom I called!  I am  He, I am the first, and I am the last.’”  Verses 17-18 show it was YHVH  . And also in Isaiah 41:4,  “Who has performed and done this,  calling the generations from the beginning?  I, the LORD [YHVH], the first, and with  the last; I am He.”

For further proof that Jesus the Saviour  is YHVH, see Isaiah 49:7 and  Isaiah 60:16, where He — YHVH — is  the Redeemer and Saviour and also  “the Mighty One of Jacob”  Isaiah 48:17,

All of these scriptures show that  YHVH is the first and last. Christ is  clearly the YHVH of the Old Testament!

Thomas also left no doubt, in exclaiming Jesus as his Lord and God. (John 20:28)  (If he’d been incorrect, wouldn’t Jesus have corrected him?  The account in John was written six decades after the event.  If Thomas had overstated or misstated, wouldn’t John have clarified or qualified the statement during those decades?)  Both before His birth and after His death, Jesus is referred to as God.

Isaiah 9:6 makes a definitive identification, by affirming that one of the names and roles of God’s Son, Jesus Christ is the Everlasting Father!  “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”

No man has seen God [Jesus obviously speaking of God the Father since he himself was saying this] or heard His voice at any time.  “And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.” (John 5:37)

At any time?  Then who was the God who walked with Adam and Eve?  Who ate with Abraham before going on toward Sodom?  Who did Jacob wrestle with all night? (Gen. 32:24-30)  Who was the God that  spoke with Moses face to face? and identified himself as YHVH?   (Ex. 33:11)  Who did Moses see in glorified form, even being imbued with a small measure of that radiance himself thereafter? (Ex. 34:29)  Who did Moses, Aaron and the seventy elders see and eat before on the mountain? (Ex. 24:9-11)

Not only must we accept that no man can ‘come to’ the Father but through His Son, but we are to have the SAME regard for BOTH the Father and the Son!

John 5:22-25  “Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.”(1st Jn. 2:23)  “For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father.  He that honours not the Son honours not the Father which hath sent him.

The word honor or worship means to obey; and we are to worship or obey Christ as our Head, because he is our espoused Husband and Creator; and he is utterly faithful to his Father who may become our Father in Christ. We are also expressly commanded to obey the Father, both by the law and directly by Jesus Christ.

How can we obey BOTH the Father and the Son?  Because they are ONE in total agreement!

1 Corinthians 11   Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ. Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances [of God], as I delivered them to you. But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God [The Father].

In keeping with Isaiah 9:6, the ‘Alpha and Omega’  Rev 1:6, 1:11, 22:3; and in Rev 21:6, says  “And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.Even Jesus refers directly to Himself as God!

Here Jesus plainly says that he was from the beginning!  and will exist until the end!  Not that there will be an end, but meaning that he will always exist!

The Alpha and Omega is the one who was alive but died and was made alive again!  (Rev. 1:8, 11 & 18)  The same will become the God of all overcomers, [the Head of the faithful under the Father]  with the Father for all eternity!

Richard Trevor has supplied many of these scriptures below.    Some of these scriptures will require some thought.  For example Zech 14:16 speaks of the nations going up to worship “the King, the Lord of Hosts” at Jerusalem.  Who is the King who will be at Jerusalem? The LORD of Hosts of Israel!  Remember that Isaiah [9:6] called the Messiah the “Mighty God”!!!

1 Cor.15:27-28,  Re.20:4,  Re.21:1-4,  Re.22:,  2 Pe.3:12,  1 Cor15:26

The word Elohim means Mighty Ones and is a generic term for God, or gods; for any authority.

The word YHVH [The Eternal] refers to both the Father and the Son, for BOTH are Eternal, yet it most explicitly refers to the Creator who was the God of his creation throughout the period from creation, until  he gave up his divinity to be made flesh; and then had his glory returned to him in a resurrection back to spirit by the Father.

Jesus identified himself with his own mouth as the “I AM”; the prophets identified Messiah as “God with us”, and the writers of scripture identified the one who became  flesh as the Creator, the “I AM”,  the God of humanity; along with the Father in heaven!

Let us consider the greatness of the sacrifice that was made for our salvation; the death of the very Creator of man and of all things..

This said clearly in English is:  the Eternal our Mighty Ones is One [in unity]  We shall see when we go over the last words of Christ in John that Jesus plainly says that he and the Father are .ONE.  The Shema does not refer to one being; but a fully united family of beings.

The term Elohim means Mighty Ones and refers to all that is called god, and even includes human authorities like rulers and judges.

The Shema differentiates the family of YHVH [the Eternal] from all other Elohim [authorities, lords and masters].  YHVH is the name of a Family of Eternal Beings, a family now made up of two members, and soon to be expanded with vast numbers of more spiritual beings in complete unity with the present Two;  who will receive the gift of eternal life!

Even the word  church [Ekklesia] means ONE  body, yet composed of many members  (I Cor. 12:12). A husband and wife are  ONE FLESH, yet two persons.

Deuteronomy. 6:4, 5 known to Jews as the Sh’ma uses BOTH Jehovah [YeHovah] and Elohim to indicate one God [AS IN “FAMILY”] with a plurality of persons.

The Sh’ma is a proof text for the Unitarians, who fixate on the statement in English  “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD”: and ignore the implications of the uniplural word Elohim.

Hear [H8085] (8798), O Israel [H3478]: The LORD [H3068 YeHovah  “I AM”] our God [H430 Elohim uniplural] [is] one [H259] LORD [H3068 YeHovah “I AM”]:

Deuteronomy 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:

Deuteronomy 6:4  Hear, O Israel: The “I AM” our God [Elohim, uniplural as in Family], is one “I AM”: Clearly meaning that the “I AM” is the Family Name of the God [Elohim] family itself

The term “I AM” designates one as a member of the God Family.

BOTH the Father and the Son are a part of the “I AM”[YHVH] Family; they are BOTH GOD!  BOTH are ELOHIM!  BOTH are Self Existent Mighty Ones!  The “I AM” Family is ONE Family of [Elohim] Mighty Ones or God!

Yet the Father remained unknown until the Son came to reveal him and provide access to him! This is NOT understood by those [Jews, Unitarians, etc] who reject Christ as Creator.

Jesus Christ himself claimed that he was the “I AM”, Luke 22:70 Then said they all, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said unto them, Ye say that I am. 71And they said, What need we any further witness? for we ourselves have heard of his own mouth. Clearly the people understood what he meant when he said I AM.

HEAR the words of Jesus Christ himself, John 8:56” your, father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.” His audience understood correctly from this statement that Jesus was declaring that he had known and been known by Abraham. 57 “Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?” They inquired of him how he could make such a claim when he was not yet fifty years old. 58 ”Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I AM.” Jesus then openly declared himself to be God; using the very name of the God of the ancients “I AM” [ EX 3:14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.]  59 Then took they up stones to cast at him: [because he called himself by the name of God] but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

This is a very important issue.  The Unitarian position denies the divinity of Christ and therefore denies the efficacy of His sacrifice.      Leaving us without an atonement or reconciliation with God the Father.  Further this error prevents an understanding of a very large part of the scriptures.

Either Jesus Christ pre-existed as the “I Am”   [YHWH], or he sinned and lied making His sacrifice of no effect!

John 18:4 They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them. 6As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground. 7Then asked he them again, Whom seek ye? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth. 8Jesus answered, I have told you that I am he: if therefore ye seek me, let these go their way:

Jesus specifically stated that he had come down from Heaven, John 6:38  For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

Again it is written that Christ had come down from heaven and is now back in heaven John 3: 13  And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

Jesus prayed that his Father would glorify him with the same glory that he had together with the Father; clearly stating that he had had such glory BEFORE THE WORLD BEGAN!  John 17:5  And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

Paul tells us that the one who led Israel out of Egypt was Christ. 1 Cor 10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

We are told in Ephesians 1:9 that God created ALL things by Jesus Christ  “And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:”

Paul goes on to say in Colossians 1:13 “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: 14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: 15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: 16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.”

In Hebrews 1:2-5 Paul tells us that Christ created all the worlds and that Christ is the express image of the Father. “Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; 3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

John who personally knew and was taught by Christ and wrote of him; John 1:1-3 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.”

John goes on to say John 1:10 ”He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.” When was the Father ever in the world? The Father was not known, Christ came to reveal [make manifest] the Father, John 17:6.

The wonder of the Unitarian philosophy is not the evidence against the pre-existence of Christ; it is how anyone could deny the pre-existence of Christ as the very Creator and Husband of Israel, in the presence of such overwhelming evidence!

We are told in Ephesians 1:9 that God created ALL things by Jesus Christ “ And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:”

Paul tells us that Moses esteemed Christ more than the riches of Egypt in Heb 11:26 “Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward”. Pointing out that the ROCK that went with Israel out of Egypt was Jesus Christ. 1 Cor 10 “Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;  2And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;  3And did all eat the same spiritual meat;  4And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.”

Clearly then Paul understood that Jesus Christ was the God; known to the ancients,  long before his human birth..

What did Jesus himself say about this topic?  He prayed to the Father; stating that he had been glorified with the Father before the world began. John 17:5And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.”.

YES, There is absolutely NO doubt that Jesus Christ [Yeshua Messiah]  is the God known to the ancients: The God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Abel, Moses and Elijah:  We have his very own word for that!

You, who deny that Jesus Christ pre-existed his human birth: Was Christ without sin, always speaking the truth?  Or do you call him a liar, by denying his words?   To deny his words is to deny the perfection of Christ and the perfect atoning sacrifice of the Creator for his creation.  This is a great blasphemy and cuts one off from his sacrifice; for it denies the efficacy of that sacrifice, by calling Jesus Christ a sinner.

  • The first prophecy of Messiah was given to Adam and Eve by Christ, after they had rebelled against their Creator.   The bruising of the head speaking of damage to a vital part, while the bruising of a heel speaking of a minor damage that would be recovered from.

Speaking of Satan, Jesus tells Satan:

Genesis 3:15   And I will put enmity between thee [Satan] and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed [Messiah]; it shall bruise thy head [break the head and destroy Satan] , and thou shalt bruise his heel [Satan shall manage to crucify Christ; who will then be resurrected by the Father].

Deuteronomy 18:15 The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;

Now this Moses was the mediator of the Mosaic Covenant, and here Moses speaks of another prophet to come like himself.  Clearly meaning that another Mediator of another Covenant would come to them.

This new Mediator would mediate a New Covenant with the people of Israel, and ultimately all nations would be grafted into that New Covenant; grafted into an Israel; who will be totally of like mind with Christ and the Father.

Jeremiah 31:31   Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

The very being who made a covenant of married physical Israel, would be the SAME being to make the New Covenant with Spiritual Israel!

32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord:

33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

These things were expounded by Peter in:

Acts  3:17 And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers.

3:18 But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.

3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

3:20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: 3:21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

3:22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.

3:23 And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.

3:24 Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.

The Lesson of Korah About the Covenant Mediator

Over and over again the rebellion of Korah has been twisted to mean exactly the opposite of what it really means in order to enforce the sin of spiritual idolatry in the COG Groups.

The true lesson of Korah is that we are not to follow those who rebel against the Father and his only Mediator Jesus Christ.  By following these elders contrary to the whole Word of God we are rebelling just like Korah.  It is these elders who condemn zeal for the Word of God who are the modern Korah’s!

The modern Korah’s are those elders who stand on their own ways and traditions in rebellion against our ONLY High Priest and Mediator Jesus Christ.

The true faithful are those who reject all those who are not faithful to the Father and Jesus Christ, our ONLY Mediator and true High Priest!

Exodus 20:18 And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off. 19And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die.

Moses and the priesthood of the Levites were placed BETWEEN the people and God as the mediators of the Mosaic Covenant; Moses becoming the mediator of the Mosaic Covenant.

Now, all these things were done by God and written for our instruction and example.  The Mosaic Covenant being a precursor of a New Covenant,  Jer 31; and Moses being a type of Jesus Christ who was to become the mediator of the New Covenant,

Hebrews 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?  15And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

In the New Covenant there is NO other mediator between the people and God; except Jesus Christ:

1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;  6Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

This Jesus Christ became our Mediator on the Wave Offering Sunday when he rose to the Father to be accepted for us. [Wave Offering study coming] .  And what was he offering to be accepted for us?  A perfect sacrifice, transcending all other sacrifices: the perfect Lamb of God sacrificed for the sins of the world:

Hebrews 8:3 For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer.

Yes, he offered up himself as the perfect Lamb of God for the sins of humanity, thereby becoming our Mediator upon the acceptance of that sacrifice.

Moses was a type of Christ, being the mediator of the Old Covenant; as Christ is the Mediator of the New Covenant.  In his office as mediator, Moses was without sin; except for one slip to demonstrate to us the need for a new and better Covenant that would transcend the merely physical and truly forgive sin.

For this Moses was NOT allowed to enter the promised land as a demonstration for us, that any person who commits sin will NOT be allowed entry into that spiritual promised land of eternal life.  If Jesus Christ did NOT allow Moses into the promised land for striking a rock; how is it that anyone else expects to break the Sabbath and commandments at will and that our “Judge” will just wink and let us in?

Brethren, the Sabbath is a test and a matter of life and death, no it is not a light thing or a straining at gnats. It is a test to see how willing we are to please God. It is a test to see if we do consider obedience to God as a light thing, and if we do take the Sabbath lightly. The Sabbath commandment shows our attitude toward the whole law, and toward the author of that law, and toward the Mediator of our potential salvation.

Matthew 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. [KEPT by all people] 19Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven [he will not even be in the resurrection if he does not repent]: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Yes, this Jesus Christ had NO sin and therefore could be resurrected to spirit, being able to cross the gulf between heaven and earth  [which no flesh can cross] and enter into the presence of the Most High in his Holy Temple in heaven.

Now, Jesus Christ has become the Mediator of a New Covenant; his sacrifice being perfect, he need not be killed again and again as sin is committed again and again by men.

No, he needed to die just once and that perfect sacrifice could then be applied and if necessary be re-applied to atone for the repented sins of men.

He is our Mediator because he intercedes for us with the Father when we repent and turn from our law breaking.  The mediation of Christ is much more effective then the mediation of Moses interceding between the people and God.

When we enter the Heavenly Holy Place with that perfect sacrifice; we ARE fulfilling the Law of Sacrifice and keeping the Sacrificial System.

When we understand these types, then we can understand that the rebellion of Korah against the mediator of the Mosaic Covenant; was in type, a rebellion against the Mediator of the new Covenant; Jesus Christ!

As it is written: under the New Covenant we are to prove all things and hold fast ONLY that which is good; if provable by God’s Word (1 Thes 5).   We are NOT to use the rebellion of Korah to justify loyalty to men or organizations that are not being faithful to God!

The lesson of Korah is the exact opposite of what is taught by these false teachers: We are NOT to rebel against our Mediator, Jesus Christ; by following any man astray from Christ!

I wonder if the first pope used the lesson of Korah to condemn those who would not accept his heresies?

The lesson of Korah is loyalty to our Mediator, Jesus Christ; and loyalty to any organization or man is NEVER to be considered as synonymous with loyalty to Christ!

Neither Joe Tkach, Herbert Armstrong, Dave Pack, Rod Meredith, Jim Franks, Mary, Buddha, Mohammed nor any other person is our mediator.  Our ONLY Mediator is Jesus Christ!  We owe all our loyalty directly to CHRIST!

Do not be misled into believing that loyalty to any man or organization is the same as loyalty to Christ.  THAT, WOULD BE; rebelling in the footsteps of Korah!

I have no problem with anyone resigning or leaving any corporate religious organization.  I do have a problem with men exalting such organizations to the level of little gods in the eyes of people.  I am 100% for all religious organizations who focus the brethren on passionate ZEAL for the Father and his Christ.  I warn all people in such organizations to follow them ONLY as they are loyal to the Father and Christ.

The lesson of Korah is to be faithful and loyal to the Mediator of our Covenant: JESUS CHRIST!  The lesson of Korah has absolutely NOTHING to do with loyalty to any religious organization or man!

The Book of Hebrews is vital to an understanding of the New Covenant and the New Covenant Priesthood.  Please take the time to carefully go through our Hebrews Study in the Epistles Category on the sidebar at the Outreach Site.  This Book is the heart and core of sound doctrine for the “Called out” into the  New Covenant.

The words Messiah and Christ both mean “anointed one”.

“Anointed” – in Hebrew mashiah, “anointed”; in Greek christos, whence English Messiah and Christ.

Just a very few of the many many scriptures showing that Yeshua is the creator who became the Husband of Israel and then died for his creation: (Micah 5:2, John 8:58, I Cor 10:1-9, Eph 3:9, Heb 1:8, Heb 7:1-3, etc) declaring Jesus Christ as Creator.

Christ gave up his glory that he had in the beginning, and was reduced to the smallest  level of a human being and placed in Mary so that he could experience all things experienced by humanity, and be an effectual sacrifice and High Priest for ALL humanity.

He openly stated this in has last prayer to his Father saying:  John  17:5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me  with thine own self with the glory which  I had with thee before the world was.

We see that A GOD, A SPOKESMAN created all the worlds; that He was made flesh and come into the world; that He revealed the Father, who had been unknown until that time; and that He (THE WORD) was the ONLY BEGOTTON SON of that Father.

Jesus Christ became the only begotten Son of God, by virtue of the fact that He allowed the Father to make Him flesh and place Him in the womb of Mary, the espoused wife of Joseph. There can be no doubt that this WORD was the CREATOR of all things and that this SPOKESMAN was the one who BECAME the ONLY BEGOTTON OF THE FATHER JESUS CHRIST!

Eph 3:9, and this Creator was also the Firstborn from the Dead (Col 1:16-18). HE, Jesus Christ; was also the God of Moses! The Being that Moses ESTEEMED (Heb 11:24-26); the Being that Moses saw (Ex 33:18-23); the Being that MARRIED ISRAEL (Isa 54:5); the Being that accompanied Israel out of Egypt (1 Cor 10:4).

This Being gave up the Glory that He had had with the Father from the beginning John 17:5 to be made flesh, so that He might be sacrificed for the sins of His creation, mankind.

He became our Passover, sacrificed for us (1 Cor 5:7); atoning for our sins.

Now, if this man Jesus Christ, were just a man, then His life even though PERFECT could only atone for the sins of one other man, seeing that as a man, He would be of no greater value than the value of any other man.

It is by virtue of the FACT that He created all mankind, that His life is of greater value than the lives of ALL MANKIND.

If Jesus Christ were not the Creator of mankind, then His sacrifice cannot atone for ALL MANKIND!

Now every man must die for HIS OWN SINS for; ALL have sinned and come short of the Glory of God (Romans 3:23).

Jesus Christ was the only man who defeated sin, being the very Creator and the ONLY begotten Son of God. If Christ had had sin, He was required to die for His own sin and therefore could NOT die for the sins of others.

He was tempted and tested like all men, yet remained sinless (Heb 4:15, 2 Cor 5:21); so that He might become sin for us, bearing our sin. Dying on Passover,

He was raised up to life after three days and three nights in the tomb (Mat 12:40); and on Wave Offering Sunday ascended to the Father.

He was presented to the Father; FOR US, to be accepted as the propitiation for our sins (1 Jn 2:2, 1 Jn 4:10, Lev 23:11, Heb 9:24). Performing the role of the High Priest of the order of Melchezidek, in bringing an offering before Almighty God for the sins of the people (Heb 7:20-28).

By reason of Christ’s death, the Marriage Covenant between Christ and Israel has ended.

His first Marriage Covenant having ended, Jesus Christ (THE CREATOR GOD) is now able to lawfully enter a New Covenant of Marriage, at the resurrection of His now Espoused Bride.

The Book of Hebrews is indispensable in understanding the LIFE AND MISSION OF JESUS CHRIST.
